Abstract |
The most recent result reported by the Muon g-2 Experiment at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL) in 2025 has changed the game for new physics. The central value for Muon Anomalous Magnetic Moment (g-2) has significantly changed, Delta a mu=38x10-11, and the discrepancy between theory and experiment now falls within 1 sigma. Motivated by this, we discuss the new physics contributions stemming from the SU(3)C x SU(3)L x U(1)X gauge group, 3-3-1 for short. Moreover, we investigate the interplay between future colliders and g-2 when the 3-3-1 model is augmented by inert scalar triplets and vector-like fermions. We conclude that great improvement that has been achieved in the theory and measurement of the g-2 has made it a powerful probe for new physics. We concretely show this by putting our findings into perspective with projected bounds from the High-Luminosity LHC and Future Circular Collider (FCC-hh). |
