Abstract We study the decay Lambda c+->Lambda pi+pi+pi-, focusing on the production of the Sigma*(1430) resonance observed by the Belle Collaboration. Interpreted as a dynamically generated state from meson-baryon interactions in the chiral unitary approach, the Sigma*(1430) signal is shown to be enhanced by a triangle singularity involving intermediate K*-, p, and K0 states. This mechanism leads to a sharp peak near 1434 MeV in the pi+Lambda invariant mass distribution, in agreement with the experimental observations, and predicts a secondary peak around 1875 MeV in the pi-Sigma*(1430) spectrum tied to the triangle singularity. We also estimate the branching ratio of Lambda c+->pi+pi-Sigma*(1430) to be about 3.5x10-4. The results for the branching ratio and the pi-Sigma*(1430) mass distributions are predictions of the theoretical approach, which could be tested with reanalysis of existing data.

Abstract In this work we compare the predictions for the scattering length and effective range of the channels K-0 Sigma(+), K+Sigma(0), K+ Lambda and eta p, assuming the N*(1535) state as a molecular state of these channels, or an original genuine state, made for instance from three quarks. Looking at very different scenarios, what we conclude is that the predictions of these two pictures are drastically different, to the point that we advise the measurement of these magnitudes, accessible for instance by measuring correlation functions, in order to gain much valuable information concerning the nature of this state.

Title Superexotic K* plus D* plus K* plus bound state Type Journal Article
Year 2026 Publication Physics Letters B Abbreviated Journal Phys. Lett. B
Volume 875 Issue Pages 140320 - 8pp
Keywords Meson-meson interaction; Hadron Structure; Exotic state
Abstract We study a system made from K*+D*+K*+ with charge 3, isospin I = 3/2, spin J = 3, and a quark content of cdisusu, which make it highly exotic relative to the standard qqi structure of mesons. The interaction of the three body system is obtained starting from a cluster of D*+K*+ in I = 1 and J = 2, that in different works has been found bound, and adding to it an extra K*+ with spin aligned with those of the vectors of the cluster. We find that the K*K* interaction in I = 1 and J = 2 is repulsive, but its strength is small compared to that of D*+K*+ in I = 1 and J = 2, such that we find a three body state bound by about 100 MeV with respect to the mass of a K*+ and the D*+K*+ cluster. The width of the state, of about 10 MeV, is much smaller than the binding, which facilitates its observation. We suggest to find that state by measuring the invariant mass of KDK*, something feasible in present experimental facilities.

Title The Z(cs)(3985) as a threshold effect from the (D)over-bar(s)*D + (D)over-bar(s)D* interaction Type Journal Article

Abstract We study the e(+)e(-) -> K+(D-s*D--(0) + Ds-D*(0)) reaction recently measured at BESIII, from where a new Z(cs) state has been reported. We study the interaction of (D) over bar D-s* with the coupled channels J/psi K-, K*(-)eta(c), Ds-D*(0), D-s*D--(0) by means of an extension to the charm sector of the local hidden gauge approach. We find that the Ds-D*(0) + D-s*D--(0) combination couples to J/psi K- and K*(-)eta(c), but the Ds-D*(0 ) -D-s*D--(0) combination does not. The coupled channels help to build up strength in the Ds-D*(0) + D-s*D--(0) diagonal scattering matrix close to threshold and, although the interaction is not strong enough to produce a bound state or resonance, it is sufficient to produce a large accumulation of strength at the (D) over bar D-s* threshold in the e(+)e(-) -> K+(D-s*D--(0) + Ds-D*(0)) reaction in agreement with experiment.

Title Triangle singularity mechanism for the pp -> pi(+)d fusion reaction Type Journal Article
Year 2021 Publication Physical Review C Abbreviated Journal Phys. Rev. C
Volume 104 Issue 1 Pages 014614 - 16pp
Keywords
Abstract We develop a model for the pp -> pi(+)d reaction based on the pp -> Delta(1232)N transition followed by Delta(1232) -> pi N' decay and posterior fusion of NN' to give the deuteron. We show that the triangle diagram depicting this process develops a triangle singularity leading to a large cross section of this reaction compared to ordinary fusion reactions. The results of the calculation also show that the process is largely dominated by the pp system in L = 2 and S = 0, which transfers J = 2 to the final pi(+)d system. This feature is shown to be well suited to provide L = 2, S = 1, and J(tot) = 3 for np in the np(I = 0) pi(-)pp reaction followed by the pp -> pi(+)d reaction, which has been proposed recently, as a means of describing the so far assumed dibaryon d* (2380) peak.

Title Zcs states from the D*s over bar D* and J=psi K* coupled channels: Signal in B+ -> J=psi phi K+ decay Type Journal Article

Volume 105 Issue 1 Pages 014012 - 13pp

Abstract We study the D*s over bar D* system in connection with the J=psi K* in coupled channels and observe that, within reasonable values of the cutoff used to regularize the loops, the system does not develop a bound state. However, the JP = 2+ channel has enough attraction to create a strong cusp structure that shows up in the J=psi K+ invariant mass distribution in the B+ -> J=psi phi K+ decay at the D*s over bar D* threshold. Such structure is results should stimulate further measurements around this region, given the fact that cusp effects provide as valuable information on hadron dynamics as resonances themselves.

Abstract We study the light and heavy quark mass dependence of the low-lying charmed mesons in the framework of one-loop HH & chi; PT. The low energy constants are determined by analyzing the available lattice data from different LQCD simulations. Model selection tools are implemented to determine the relevant parameters as required by data with a higher precision. Discretization and other effects due to the charm quark mass setting are discussed.

Abstract We determine the quark mass dependence-light and heavy-of the D*s0(2317) and Ds1(2460) properties, such as, mass, coupling to D(*)K, scattering lengths and compositeness, from a global analysis I = 0 for different boosts and two pion masses. The formalism is based in the local hidden-gauge interaction of Weinberg-Tomozawa type which respects both chiral and heavy quark spin symmetries, supplemented by a term that takes into account the D(*)K coupling to a bare cs<overline> component. The isospin violating decay of the D*s0(2317) -> D+s pi 0 is also evaluated.

Title Quark mass dependence of the Tcc(3875) + pole Type Journal Article
Year 2025 Publication Physical Review D Abbreviated Journal Phys. Rev. D
Volume 111 Issue 1 Pages 016029 - 21pp
Keywords
Abstract Recently, several LQCD simulations have proven that the interaction in the isoscalar channel in DD* scattering is attractive. This channel is naturally connected to the Tcc(3875)+ which is observed in the D0D0,c+ invariant mass distribution. However, it remains an open question whether the virtual bound state found in these several LQCD simulations is actually linked to the LHCb experimental observation. In this article we perform an EFT-based analysis of the LQCD data and demonstrate that a proper chiral extrapolation leads to a Tcc pole compatible with experiment. At the physical pion mass, we find a virtual bound state with a binding energy Delta E = -0.06(+1.30 -2.20)(+0.5-1.110).Moreover, we extract from a global analysis both the light and heavy quark mass dependence of the Tcc pole and study the role of the p- and i-meson exchanges.

Title On the chiral covariant approach to rho rho scattering Type Journal Article
Year 2017 Publication Chinese Physics C Abbreviated Journal Chin. Phys. C
Volume 41 Issue 12 Pages 124101 - 9pp
Keywords rho-rho scattering; unitary chiral approaches; on-shell approximations
Abstract We examine in detail a recent work (D. Gulmez, U. G. Meibner and J. A. Oller, Eur. Phys. J. C, 77: 460 (2017)), where improvements to make rho rho scattering relativistically covariant are made. The paper has the remarkable conclusion that the J=2 state disappears with a potential which is much more attractive than for J=0, where a bound state is found. We trace this abnormal conclusion to the fact that an “on-shell” factorization of the potential is done in a region where this potential is singular and develops a large discontinuous and unphysical imaginary part. A method is developed, evaluating the loops with full rho propagators, and we show that they do not develop singularities and do not have an imaginary part below threshold. With this result for the loops we define an effective potential, which when used with the Bethe-Salpeter equation provides a state with J=2 around the energy of the f(2)(1270). In addition, the coupling of the state to is evaluated and we find that this coupling and the T matrix around the energy of the bound state are remarkably similar to those obtained with a drastic approximation used previously, in which the q(2) terms of the propagators of the exchanged rho mesons are dropped, once the cut-off in the rho rho loop function is tuned to reproduce the bound state at the same energy.
