Abstract: We measure the mass difference Delta m(0) between the D*(2010)(+) and the D-0 and the natural linewidth Gamma of the transition D*(2010)(+) -> D-0 pi(+). The data were recorded with the BABAR detector at center-of-mass energies at and near the gamma(4S) resonance, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of approximately 477 fb(-1). The D-0 is reconstructed in the decay modes D-0 -> K-pi(+) and D-0 -> K-pi(+) and D-0 -> K-pi(+)pi(-)pi(+). For the decay mode D-0 -> K-pi(+) we obtain Gamma = (83.4 +/- 1.7 +/- 1.5) keV and Delta m(0) = (145425.6 +/- 0.6 +/- 18) keV, where the quoted errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. For the D-0 -> K-pi(+)pi(-)pi(+) mode we obtain Gamma = (83.2 +/- 1.5 +/- 2.6) keV and Delta m(0) = (145426.6 +/- 0.5 +/- 2.0) keV. The combined measurements yield Gamma = (83.3 +/- 1.2 +/- 1.4) keV and Delta m(0) (145425.9 +/- 0.4 +/- 1.7) keV; the width is a factor of approximately 12 times more precise than the previous value, while the mass difference is a factor of approximately 6 times more precise.

Abstract: We present measurements of the inclusive production of antideuterons in e(+)e(-) annihilation into hadrons at approximate to 10.58 GeV center-of-mass energy and in Upsilon(1S, 2S, 3S) decays. The results are obtained using data collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II electron-positron collider. Assuming a fireball spectral shape for the emitted antideuteron momentum, we find B(Upsilon(1S) -> (d) over barX) = (2.81 +/- 0.49(stat)-(+0.20)(0.24)(syst)) x 10(-5), B(Upsilon(2S) -> (d) over barX) = (2.64 +/- 0.11(stat)(-0.21)(+0.26)(syst)) x 10(-5), B(Upsilon(3S) -> (d) over barX) = (2.33 +/- 0.15(stat)(-0.28)(+0.31)(syst)) x 10(-5), and sigma(e(+)e(-) -> (d) over barX) = (9.63 +/- 0.41(stat)(-1.01)(+1.17)(syst) fb.

Abstract: We present results of a search for CP violation in B-0-(B) over bar (0) mixing with the BABAR detector. We select a sample of B0 -> D*-Xl(+)nu decays with a partial reconstruction method and use kaon tagging to assess the flavor of the other B meson in the event. We determine the CP violating asymmetryA(CP) [N((BB0)-B-0) – N((B-0) over bar (B-0) over bar)]/[N((B-0) over bar (B-0) over bar) + N((BB0)-B-0)] = (0.06 +/- 0.17 +/- 0.38-0.32)%, corresponding to Delta(CP) = 1- vertical bar q/p vertical bar = (0.29 +/- 0.84+1.88-1.61) X 10(-3).

Abstract: We present a study of tau(-) -> pi(-KsKs0)-K-0(pi(0))nu(tau) and tau(-) -> (K-KsKs0)-K-0(pi(0))nu(tau) decays using a data set of 430 million tau lepton pairs, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 468 fb(-1), collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric energy e(+)e(-) storage rings. We measure branching fractions of (2.31 +/- 0.04 +/- 0.08) x 10(-4) and (1.60 +/- 0.20 +/- 0.22) x 10(-5) for the tau(-) -> pi(-KsKs0)-K-0 nu(tau) and tau(-) -> pi(-KsKs0)-K-0 pi(0)nu(tau) decays, respectively. We find no evidence for tau(-) -> (K-KsKs0)-K-0 nu(tau) and tau(-) -> (K-KsKs0)-K-0 pi(0)nu(tau) decays and place upper limits on the branching fractions of 6.3 x 10(-7) and 4.0 x 10(-7) at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: The process e(+)e(-) -> p (p) over bar gamma is studied using 469 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, at an e(+)e(-) center-of-mass energy of 10.6 GeV. From the analysis of the p (p) over bar invariant mass spectrum, the energy dependence of the cross section for e(+)e(-) -> p (p) over bar is measured from threshold to 4.5 GeV. The energy dependence of the ratio of electric and magnetic form factors, vertical bar G(E)/G(M)vertical bar, and the asymmetry in the proton angular distribution are measured for p (p) over bar masses below 3 GeV. We also measure the branching fractions for the decays J/psi -> p (p) over bar and psi(2S) -> p (p) over bar are also determined.

Abstract: We report the results of a study of the exclusive charmless semileptonic decays, B-0 -> pi(-)l(+)nu, B+ -> pi(0)l(+)nu, B+ -> omega l(+)nu, B+ -> eta l(+)nu, and B+ -> eta'l(+)nu (l = e or mu) undertaken with approximately 462 X 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector. The analysis uses events in which the signal B decays are reconstructed with a loose neutrino reconstruction technique. We obtain partial branching fractions in several bins of q(2), the square of the momentum transferred to the lepton-neutrino pair, for B-0 -> pi(-)l(+)nu, B+ -> pi(0)l(+)nu, B+ -> omega l(+)nu, and B+ -> eta l(+)nu. From these distributions, we extract the form-factor shapes f(+)(q(2)) and the total branching fractions B(B-0 -> pi(-)l(+)nu) = (1.45 +/- 0.04(stat) +/- 0.06(syst)) X 10(-4) (combined pi(-) and pi(0) decay channels assuming isospin symmetry), B(B+ -> omega l(+)nu) = (1.19 +/- 016(stat) +/- 0.09(syst)) X 10(-4) and B(B+ -> eta l(+)nu) = (0.38 +/- 0.05(stat) +/- 0.05(syst)) X 10(-4). We also measure B(B+ -> eta'l(+)nu) = (0.24 +/- 0.08(stat) +/- 0.03(syst)) X 10(-4). We obtain values for the magnitude of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (KM) matrix element vertical bar V-ub vertical bar by direct comparison with three different QCD calculations in restricted q(2) ranges of B -> pi l(+)nu decays. From a simultaneous fit to the experimental data over the full q(2) range and the FNAL/MILC lattice QCD predictions, we obtain vertical bar V-ub vertical bar = (3.25 +/- 0.31) X 10(-3), where the error is the combined experimental and theoretical uncertainty.

Abstract: We study the decay (B) over bar (0) -> Lambda(+)(c) (p) over bar pi(+) pi(-), reconstructing the Lambda(+)(c) baryon in the pK(-) pi(+) mode, using a data sample of 467 X 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage rings at SLAC. We measure branching fractions for decays with intermediate Sigma(c) baryons to be B[(B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2455)(++) (p) over bar (-) pi(-)] = (21.3 +/- 1.0 +/- 1.0 +/- 5.5) X 10(-5), B[(B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2520)(++) (p) over bar (-) pi(-)] = (11.5 +/- 1.0 +/- 0.5 +/- 3.0) X 10(-5), B[(B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2455)(0) (p) over bar (-) pi(-)] – (9.1 +/- 0.7 +/- 0.4 +/- 2.4) X 10(-5), and B[(B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2520)(++) (p) over bar (-) pi(-)] – (2.2 +/- 0.7 +/- 0.1 +/- 0.6) X 10(-5), where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the uncertainty on the Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-) pi(+) branching fraction, respectively. For decays without Sigma(c)(2455) or Sigma(c)(2520) resonances, we measure B[(B) over bar (0) -> Lambda(+)(c) (p) over bar pi(+) pi(-)](non-Sigma c) =(79 +/- 4 +/- 4 +/- 20) X 10(-5). The total branching fraction is determined to be B[(B) over bar (0) -> Lambda(+)(c) (p) over bar pi(+) pi(-)](total) = (123 +/- 5 +/- 7 +/- 32) X 10(-5). We examine multibody mass combinations in the resonant three-particle Sigma(c) final states and in the four-particle Lambda(+)(c) (p) over bar pi(+) pi(-) final state, and observe different characteristics for the (p) over bar pi combination in neutral versus doubly charged Sigma(c) decays.

Abstract: We study the processes e+e- -> K0S K0L gamma, K0S K0L pi+ pi- gamma, K0S K0S pi+ pi- gamma, and K0S K0S K+ K- gamma, where the photon is radiated from the initial state, providing cross section measurements for the hadronic states over a continuum of center-of-mass energies. The results are based on 469 fb-1 of data collected with the BABAR detector at SLAC. We observe the phi(1020) resonance in the K0S K0L final state and measure the product of its electronic width and branching fraction with about 3% uncertainty. We present a measurement of the e+e- -> K0S K0L cross section in the energy range from 1.06 to 2.2 GeV and observe the production of a resonance at 1.67 GeV. We present the first measurements of the e+e- -> K0S K0L pi+ pi-, K0S K0S pi+ pi-, and K0S K0S K+ K- cross sections and study the intermediate resonance structures. We obtain the first observations of J/Psi decay to the K0S K0L pi+ pi-, K0S K0S pi+ pi-, and K0S K0S K+ K- final states.

Abstract: We measure the direct CP violation asymmetry, A(CP), in B -> X-s gamma and the isospin difference of the asymmetry, Delta A(CP), using 429 fb(-1) of data collected at Upsilon(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP- II asymmetric- energy e(+)e(-) storage rings operating at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. B mesons are reconstructed from ten charged B final states and six neutral B final states. We find A(CP) = +(1.7 +/- 1.9 +/- 1.0)%, which is in agreement with the Standard Model prediction and provides an improvement on the world average. Moreover, we report the first measurement of the difference between A(CP) for charged and neutral decay modes, Delta A(CP) = +(5.0 +/- 3.9 +/- 1.5)%. Using the value of Delta A(CP), we also provide 68% and 90% confidence intervals on the imaginary part of the ratio of theWilson coefficients corresponding to the chromomagnetic dipole and the electromagnetic dipole transitions.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the asymmetry A(CP) between same- sign inclusive dilepton samples l(+) l(+) and l(-) l(-) ( l = e, mu) from semileptonic B decays in Y(4S) -> B (B) over bar events, using the complete data set recorded by the BABAR experiment near the Y(4S) resonance, corresponding to 471 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs. The asymmetry A(CP) allows comparison between the mixing probabilities P((B) over bar (0) -> B-0) and P(B-0 -> (B) over bar (0)) and therefore probes CP and T violation. The result, A(CP) = [-3.9 +/- 3.5(stat) +/- 1.9(syst)] x 10(-3), is consistent with the standard model expectation.
