Abstract |
Within the context of vector mediators, is a new signal observed in flavor changing interactions, particularly in the neutral mesons systems K-0 – (K) over bar (0), D-0 – (D) over bar (0) and B-0 – (B) over bar (0), consistent with dilepton resonance searches at the LHC? In the attempt to address this very simple question, we discuss the complementarity between flavor changing neutral current (FCNC) and dilepton resonance searches at the LHC run 2 at 13 TeV with 3.2 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity, in the context of vector mediators at tree level. Vector mediators, are often studied in the flavor changing framework, specially in the light of the recent LHCb anomaly observed at the rare B decay. However, the existence of stringent dilepton bound severely constrains flavor changing interactions, due to restrictive limits on the Z' mass. We discuss this interplay explicitly in the well motivated framework of a 3-3-1 scheme, where fermions and scalars are arranged in the fundamental representation of the weak SU(3) gauge group. Due to the paucity of relevant parameters, we conclude that dilepton data leave little room for a possible new physics signal stemming from these systems, unless a very peculiar texture parametrization is used in the diagonalization of the CKM matrix. In other words, if a signal is observed in such flavor changing interactions, it unlikely comes from a 3-3-1 model. |

Abstract |
We study the stability of hexaquark systems containing two heavy quarks and four light quarks within a simple quark model. No bound or metastable state is found. The reason stems from a delicate interplay between chromoelectric and chromomagnetic effects. Our calculation also provides information about anticharmed pentaquarks that are seemingly unbound in simple quark models. |

Abstract |
We study the semileptonic decay of Lambda(c) to nu l(+) and Lambda(1405), where the Lambda(1405) is seen in the invariant mass distribution of pi Sigma. We perform the hadronization of the quarks produced in the reaction in order to have a meson baryon pair in the final state and then let these hadron pairs undergo final state interaction from where the Lambda(1405) is dynamically generated. The reaction is particularly suited to study this resonance, because we show that it filters I = 0. It is also free of tree-level pi Sigma production, which leads to a clean signal of the resonance with no background. This same feature has as a consequence that one populates the state of the Lambda(1405) with higher mass around 1420 MeV, predicted by the chiral unitary approach. We make absolute predictions for the invariant mass distributions and find them within the measurable range in present facilities. The implementation of this reaction would allow us to gain insight into the existence of the predicted two Lambda(1405) states and their nature as molecular states. |

Abstract |
We study the scaling with the number of colors, N-c, of the weak amplitudes mediating kaon mixing and decay. We evaluate the amplitudes of the two relevant current-current operators on the lattice for N-c = 3-7. We conclude that the subleading 1/N-c corrections in B-k, are small, but those in the K -> pi pi amplitudes are large and fully anticoirelated in the I = 0, 2 isospin channels. We briefly comment on the implications for the Delta I = 1/2 rule. |

Abstract |
We study the role of the f(1)(1285) resonance in the decays of J/psi -> phi(K) over barK* and J/psi -> f(1) (1285). The theoretical approach is based on the results of chiral unitary theory where the f1(1285) resonance is dynamically generated from the K* (K) over bar -c.c. interaction. In order to further test the dynamical nature of the f(1)(1285) state, we investigate the J/psi -> phi(K) over barK* decay close to the (K) over barK* threshold and make predictions for the ratio of the invariant mass distributions of the J/psi -> phi(K) over barK* decay and the J/psi -> phi f(1)(1285) partial decay width with all the parameters of the mechanism fixed in previous studies. The results can be tested in future experiments and therefore offer new clues on the nature of the f(1) (1285) state. |
