Abstract |
A search for the doubly charmed baryon.+ cc is performed through its decay to the.+ c K- p+ final state, using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV. The data correspond to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb-1. No significant signal is observed in the mass range from 3.4 to 3.8 GeV/c2. Upper limits are set at 95% credibility level on the ratio of the.+ cc production cross-section times the branching fraction to that of.+ c and.++ cc baryons. The limits are determined as functions of the.+ cc mass for di fferent lifetime hypotheses, in the rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and the transverse momentum range from 4 to 15 GeV/c. |

Abstract |
The element vertical bar V-cb vertical bar of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix is measured using semileptonic B-s(0) decays produced in proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). Rates of B-s0 -> D-s(-) mu(+)nu(mu) and B-s0 -> D-s*(-) mu(+)nu(mu) decays are analyzed using hadronic form-factor parametrizations derived either by Caprini, Lellouch and Neubert (CLN) or by Boyd, Grinstein and Lebed (BGL). The measured values of vertical bar V-cb vertical bar are (41.4 +/- 0.6 +/- 0.9 +/- 1.2) x 10(-3) and (42.3 +/- 0.8 +/- 0.9 +/- 1.2) x 10(-3) in the CLN and BGL parametrization, respectively. The first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third is due to the external inputs used in the measurement. These results are in agreement with those obtained from decays of B+ and B-0 mesons. They are the first determinations of vertical bar V-cb vertical bar at a hadron-collider experiment and the first using B-s(0) meson decays. |

Abstract |
Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0 fb-1, collected by the LHCb experiment, the production of the.c(1S) state in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of v s = 13 TeVis studied in the rapidity range 2.0 < y < 4.5 and in the transverse momentum range 6.5 < pT < 14.0GeV. The cross-section for prompt production of.c(1S) mesons relative to that of the J/. meson is measured using the p p decay mode and is found to be s.c(1S)/sJ/. = 1.69 +/- 0.15 +/- 0.10 +/- 0.18. The quoted uncertainties are, in order, statistical, systematic and due to uncertainties on the branching fractions of the J/.. p p and.c. p p decays. The prompt.c(1S) production cross-section is determined to be s.c( 1S) = 1.26 +/- 0.11 +/- 0.08 +/- 0.14 μb, where the last uncertainty includes that on the J/. meson cross-section. The ratio of the branching fractions of b-hadron decays to the.c(1S) and J/. states is measured to be Bb..c X /Bb. J/. X = 0.48 +/- 0.03 +/- 0.03 +/- 0.05, where the last uncertainty is due to those on the branching fractions of the J/.. p p and.c. p p decays. The difference between the J/. and.c(1S) masses is also determined to be 113.0 +/- 0.7 +/- 0.1MeV, which is the most precise single measurement of this quantity to date. |

Abstract |
A search for the decays B-s(0) -> e(+)e(-) and B-0 e(+)e(-) is performed using data collected with the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1, 2, and 2 fb(-1), respectively. No signal is observed. Assuming no contribution from B-0 -> e(+)e(-) decays, an upper limit on the branching fraction B(B-s(0) -> e(+)e(-)) < 9.4(11.2) x 10(-9) is obtained at 90(95)% confidence level. If no B-s(0) -> e(+)e(-) contribution is assumed, a limit of B(B-0 -> e(+)e(-)) < 2.5(3.0) x 10(-9) is determined at 90(95)% confidence level. These upper limits are more than one order of magnitude lower than the previous values. |

Abstract |
The ratio of branching fractions of the decays -> pK(-)mu(+)mu(-),RpK-1}, is measured for the first time using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb(-1) recorded with the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV. In the dilepton mass-squared range 0.1 < q(2)< 6.0 GeV2/c(4) and the pK(-) mass range m(pK(-)) < 2600 MeV/c(2), the ratio of branching fractions is measured to be RpK-1=1.17-0.16+0.18 +/- 0.0$$ {R}{pK}<^>{-1}={1.17}{-0.16}<^>{+0.18}\pm 0.07 $$\end{document}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This is the first test of lepton universality with b baryons and the first observation of the decay -> pK(-)e(+)e(-). |

Abstract |
The Lambda K-+(c)- mass spectrum is studied with a data sample of pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.6 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment. Three Xi(0)(c) states are observed with a large significance and their masses and natural widths are measured to be m[Xi(c)(2923)(0)] = 2923.04 +/- 0.25 +/- 0.20 +/- 0.14 MeV, Gamma[Xi(c)(2923)(0)] = 7.1 +/- 0.8 +/- 1.8 MeV, m[Xi(c)(2939)(0)] = 2938.55 +/- 0.21 +/- 0.17 +/- 0.14 MeV, Gamma[Xi(c)(2939)(0)] = 10.2 +/- 0.8 +/- 1.1 MeV, m[Xi(c)(2965)(0)] = 2964.88 +/- 0.26 +/- 0.14 +/- 0.14 MeV, Gamma[Xi(c)(2965)(0)] = 14.1 +/- 0.9 +/- 1.3 MeV, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the limited knowledge of the Lambda(+)(c) mass. The Xi(c)(2923)(0) and Xi(c)(2939)(0) baryons are new states. The Xi(c)(2965)(0) state is in the vicinity of the known Xi(c)(2970)(0) baryon; however, their masses and natural widths differ significantly. |

Abstract |
Measurements of CP observables in B-+/- -> DK +/- and B-+/- -> D pi (+/-) decays are presented, where D represents a superposition of D-0 and D<overbar>0 states. The D meson is reconstructed in the three-body final states KS0K +/- pi -/+ and KS0K -/+ pi +/-. The analysis uses samples of B mesons produced in proton-proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0, 2.0, and 6.0 fb(-1) collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of s = 7, 8, and 13 TeV, respectively. These measurements are the most precise to date, and provide important input for the determination of the CKM angle gamma. |

Abstract |
This paper presents an analysis of the Lambda(0)(b) -> J/psi Lambda angular distribution and the transverse production polarisation of Lambda(0)(b) baryons in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV. The measurements are performed using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.9 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb experiment. The polarisation is determined in a fiducial region of Lambda(0)(b) transverse momentum and pseudorapidity of 1 < p(T) < 20 GeV/c and 2 < eta < 5, respectively. The data are consistent with Lambda(0)(b) baryons being produced unpolarised in this region. The parity-violating asymmetry parameter of the Lambda -> p pi(-) decay is also determined from the data and its value is found to be consistent with a recent measurement by the BES III collaboration. |

Abstract |
An angular analysis of the B-0 -> K-0 (-> K+pi(-))mu(+)mu(-) decay is presented using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb(-1) of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. The full set of CP-averaged observables are determined in bins of the invariant mass squared of the dimuon system. Contamination from decays with the K+ pi(-) system in an S-wave configuration is taken into account. The tension seen between the previous LHCb results and the standard model predictions persists with the new data. The precise value of the significance of this tension depends on the choice of theory nuisance parameters. |

Abstract |
A new baryon state is observed in the Lambda(0)(b)pi(+)pi(-) mass spectrum with high significance using a data sample of pp collisions, collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies root s = 7, 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The mass and natural width of the new state are measured to be m = 6072.3 +/- 2.9 +/- 0.6 +/- 0.2 MeV, Gamma = 72 +/- 11 +/- 2 MeV, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The third uncertainty for the mass is due to imprecise knowledge of the Lambda(0)(b) baryon mass. The new state is consistent with the first radial excitation of the Lambda(0)(b) baryon, the Lambda(b)(2S)(0) resonance. Updated measurements of the masses and the upper limits on the natural widths of the previously observed Lambda(b)(5912)(0) and Lambda(b)(5920)(0) states are also reported. |
