| Abstract |
A search for CP violation in Lambda(0)(b) -> pK(-) and Lambda(0)(b) -> p pi(-) decays is presented using the full Run 1 and Run 2 data samples of pp collisions collected with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. For the Run 2 data sample, the CPviolating asymmetries are measured to be A(CP)(pK-) = (-1.4 +/- 0.7 +/- 0.4)% and A(CP)(p pi-)= (0.4 +/- 0.9 +/- 0.4)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Following significant improvements in the evaluation of systematic uncertainties compared to the previous LHCb measurement, the Run 1 dataset is reanalyzed to update the corresponding results. When combining the Run 2 and updated Run 1 measurements, the final results are found to be A(CP)(pK-) = (-1.1 +/- 0.7 +/- 0.4)% and A(CP)(p pi-) = (0.2 +/- 0.8 +/- 0.4)%, constituting the most precise measurements of these asymmetries to date. |

| Abstract |
The branching fraction of the decay B+ ->psi(2S)phi(1020)K+, relative to the topologically similar decay B+ -> J psi phi(1020)K+, is measured using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The ratio is found to be 0.061 +/- 0.004 +/- 0.009, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. Using the world-average branching fraction for B+ -> J psi phi(1020)K+, the branching fraction for the decay B+ ->psi(2S)phi(1020)K+ is found to be (3.0 +/- 0.2 +/- 0.5 +/- 0.2) x 10(-6), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third is due to the branching fraction of the normalization channel. |

| Abstract |
The Xi(0(-))(b) -> Xi(c)(3055)(+(0))(-> D+(0)Lambda)pi(-) decay chains are observed, and the spin-parity of Xi(c)(3055)(+(0)) baryons is determined for the first time. The measurement is performed using protonproton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of root s = 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb(-1), recorded by the LHCb experiment between 2016 and 2018. The spin-parity of the Xi(c)(3055)(+(0)) baryons is determined to be 3/2(+) with a significance of more than 6.5 sigma (3.5 sigma) compared to all other tested hypotheses. The up-down asymmetries of the Xi(0(-))(b) -> Xi(c)(3055)(+(0))pi(-) transitions are measured to be -0.92 +/- 0.10 +/- 0.05 (-0.92 +/- 0.16 +/- 0.22), consistent with maximal parity violation, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. These results support the hypothesis that the Xi(c)(3055)(+(0)) baryons correspond to the first D-wave lambda-mode excitation of the Xi(c) flavor triplet. |

| Abstract |
An amplitude analysis of B- -> D- (DKS0)-K-0 decays is performed using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. A resonant structure of spin-parity 0(+) is observed in the (DKS0)-K-0 invariant-mass spectrum with a significance of 5.3s. The mass and width of the state, modeled with a Breit-Wigner line shape, are determined to be 2883 +/- 11 +/- 8 MeV/c(2) and 87(-47)(+22) +/- 17 MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. These properties and the quark content are consistent with those of the open-charm tetraquark candidate T-cs0(*)(2870)(0) observed previously in the D+K- final state of the B- -> D-D+K- decay. This result confirms the existence of the T-cs0(*)(2870)(0) state in a new decay mode. The T-c10(*) (2900)(0) state, reported in the B- -> D-D+K- decay, is also searched for in the (DKS0)-K-0 invariant-mass spectrum of the B- -> D- (DKS0)-K-0 decay, without finding evidence for it. |

| Abstract |
The first evidence for the decay B- -> D(0)tau(-)(nu) over bar (tau) is obtained using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1), at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. Here, the D0 meson represents any of the three excited charm mesons D-1(2420)(0), D*(2)(2460)(0), and D'(1)(2400)(0). The B- -> D(0)tau(-)(nu) over bar (tau) signal is measured with a significance of 3.5 sigma, including systematic uncertainties. The combined branching fraction B(B- -> D(0)(1,2) tau(-)(nu) over bar (tau)) x B(D(0)(1,2) -> D*(+) pi(-)), where D(0)(1,2) denotes both D-1(2420)(0) and D*(2)(2460)(0) contributions, is measured to be [0.051 +/- 0.013(stat) +/- 0.006(syst) +/- 0.009(ext)]%, where the last uncertainty reflects that of the branching fraction of the normalization channel B- -> DD-0(1,2)-(*())(s). The ratio between the tauonic and muonic semileptonic B decays, with the latter taken from world average values, is also determined and found to be R(D(0)(1,2)) = 0.13 +/- 0.03(stat) +/- 0.01(syst) +/- 0.02(ext). |

| Abstract |
The CP asymmetry and branching fraction of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa-suppressed decay B+ -> J/psi pi(+) are precisely measured relative to the favored decay B+ -> J/psi K+ using a sample of protonproton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb(-1) recorded at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV during 2016-2018. The results of the CP asymmetry difference and branching fraction ratio are Delta A(CP)= A(CP)(B+ -> J/psi pi(+))-A(CP)(B+ -> J/psi K+)=(1.29 +/- 0.49 +/- 0.08)x10(-2), R-pi/K [B(B+ -> J/psi pi(+))/ B(B+-> J/psi K+)] = (3.852 +/- 0.022 +/- 0.018)x10(-2), where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. A combination with previous LHCb results based on data collected at 7 and 8 TeVin 2011 and 2012 yields Delta A(CP) = (1.42 +/- 0.43 +/- 0.08) x 10(-2) and R pi/K = (3.846 +/- 0.018 +/- 0.018) x 10(-2). The combined Delta A(CP) value deviates from zero by 3.2 standard deviations, providing the first evidence for direct CP violation in the amplitudes of beauty decays to charmonium final states. |

| Abstract |
A study of Lambda(0)(b) and Xi(0)(b) decays to Lambda h(+) h'(-) (h((')) = pi, K) is performed using pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment during LHC Runs 1-2, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The branching fractions for these decays are measured using the Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda pi(+)pi(-) decay as a control channel. The decays Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda pi(+)pi(-) and and Xi(o)(b) -> pi Lambda K-pi(+)- are observed for the first time. For decay modes with sufficient signal yields, CP asymmetries are measured in the full and localized regions of the final-state phase space. Evidence is found for CP violation in the Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda K+K- decay, interpreted as originating primarily from an asymmetric Lambda(0)(b) -> N*K-+(-) decay amplitude. The measured CP asymmetries for other decays are compatible with zero. |

| Abstract |
Lepton flavor universality in rare b -> s transitions is tested for the first time using B-s(0) meson decays. The measurements are performed using pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment between 2011 and 2018, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). Branching fraction ratios between the B-s(0) -> phi e(+) e(-) and B-s(0) -> phi mu(+) mu(-) decays are measured in three regions of dilepton mass squared, q(2), with 0.1 < q(2) < 1.1, 1.1 < q(2) < 6.0, and 15 < q(2) < 19 GeV2/c(4). The results agree with the standard model expectation of lepton flavor universality. |

| Abstract |
The first test of lepton flavor universality between muons and electrons using B+ -> K+ pi(+) pi(-) l(+) l(-) (l = e, mu) decays is presented. The measurement is performed with data from proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The ratio of branching fractions between B+ -> K+ pi(+) pi(-) mu(+) mu(-) decays is measured in the dilepton invariant-mass-squared range 1.1 < q(2) < 7.0 GeV2/c(4) and is found to be R-K pi pi(-1) = 1.31(-0.17)(+0.18) (stat)(-0.09)(+0.12) (syst), in agreement with the standard model prediction. The first observation of the B+ -> K+ pi(+) pi(-) e(+) e(-) decay is also reported. |

An amplitude analysis of the D-s1(2460)(+) -> D-s(+)pi(+)pi(-) transition is performed simultaneously in B-0 -> D-Ds+pi(+)pi(-), B+ -> (D) over bar D-0(s)+pi(+)pi(-), and B-0 -> D*D--(s)+pi(+)pi(-) decays. The study is based on a data sample of proton-proton collisions recorded with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of root s = 7,8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). A clear double-peak structure is observed in the m(pi(+)pi(-)) spectrum of the D-s1(2460)(+) -> D-s(+)pi(+)pi(-) decay. The data can be described either with a model including f(0)(500), f(0)(980), and f(2)(1270) resonances, in which the contributions of f(0)(980) and f(2)(1270) are unexpectedly large, or with a model including f(0)(500), a doubly charged open-charm tetraquark state T-c (s) over bar(++) and its isospin partner T-c (s) over bar(0). If the former is considered implausible, the T-c (s) over bar states are observed with high significance, and the data are consistent with isospin symmetry. When imposing isospin constraints between the two T-c (s) over bar states, their mass and width are determined to be (2327 +/- 13 +/- 13) MeV and (96 +/- 16(-23)(+170)) MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The mass is slightly below the DK threshold, and a spin-parity of 0(+) is favoured with high significance. (c) 2025 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V. and Science China Press. |
