Abstract: We study the presence in the Lozi map of a type of abrupt order-to-order and order-to-chaos transitions which are mediated by an attractor made of a continuum of neutrally stable limit cycles, all with the same period.

Panotopoulos, G. (2011). A dynamical dark energy model with a given luminosity distance. Gen. Relativ. Gravit., 43(11), 3191–3199.
Abstract: It is assumed that the current cosmic acceleration is driven by a scalar field, the Lagrangian of which is a function of the kinetic term only, and that the luminosity distance is a given function of the red-shift. Upon comparison with baryon acoustic oscillations and cosmic microwave background data the parameters of the models are determined, and then the time evolution of the scalar field is determined by the dynamics using the cosmological equations. We find that the solution is very different than the corresponding solution when the non-relativistic matter is ignored, and that the universe enters the acceleration era at larger red-shift compared to the standard I > CDM model.

Filipuzzi, A. (2011). Universality Violation In Leptonic W Decays: An Effective Field Theory Approach. Acta Physica Polonica B, 42(11), 2453–2459.
Abstract: We analyse the deviation from universality in leptonic W decays suggested by current PDG data within a general effective field theory approach. Considering the constraints to the New Physics effects coming from Electroweak precision observables we are able to set limits on the amount of universality violation that can be accounted for in a broad class of New Physics models. Our approach starts from a usual Single Operator analysis and extends up to considering the interplay of all the effective operators defined by our EFT.

Pastor, S. (2011). Light Neutrinos in Cosmology. Phys. Part. Nuclei, 42(4), 628–640.
Abstract: Neutrinos can play an important role in the evolution of the Universe, modifying some of the cosmological observables. We describe how the precision of present cosmological data can be used to learn about neutrino properties, in particular their mass. We show how the analysis of current cosmological observations provides an upper bound on the sum of neutrino masses, with improved sensitivity from future cosmological measurements.

Meloni, D., Morisi, S., & Peinado, E. (2011). Fritzsch neutrino mass matrix from S-3 symmetry. J. Phys. G, 38(1), 015003–10pp.
Abstract: We present an extension of the standard model (SM) based on the discrete flavor symmetry S-3 which gives a neutrino mass matrix with two-zero texture of Fritzsch type and nearly diagonal charged lepton mass matrix. The model is compatible with the normal hierarchy only and predicts sin(2) theta(13) approximate to 0.01 at the best-fit values of solar and atmospheric parameters and maximal leptonic CP violation.
