Abstract |
The decays B+-> J/psi pi(+)pi(-)K(+)are studied using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1)collected with the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions between 2011 and 2018. Precise measurements of the ratios of branching fractions with the intermediate psi(2)(3823), chi(c1)(3872) and psi(2S) states are reported. The values areBB+->psi 2(“>3823K+xB psi 2(”>3823 -> J/psi pi+pi-BB+->chi c1>3872K+xB chi c1>3872 -> J/psi pi+pi-=>3.56 +/- 0.67 +/- 0.11x10-2,BB+->psi 2>3823K+xB psi 2>3823 -> J/psi pi+pi-BB+->psi>2SK+xB psi>2S -> J/psi pi+pi-=>1.31 +/- 0.25 +/- 0.04x10-3,BB+->chi c1>3872K+xB chi c1>3872 -> J/psi pi+pi-BB+->psi>2SK+xB psi>2S -> J/psi pi+pi-= where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The decay of B+->psi(2)(3823)K(+)with psi(2)(3823)-> J/psi pi(+)pi(-)is observed for the first time with a significance of 5.1 standard deviations. The mass differences between the psi(2)(3823), chi(c1)(3872) and psi(2S) states are measured to be m chi c1>3872-m psi 2>3823=47. 50 +/- 0.53 +/- 0.13MeV/c2,m psi 2 2S=185.49 +/- 0.06 +/- 0.03MeV/c2, resulting in the most precise determination of the chi(c1)(3872) mass. The width of the psi(2)(3823) state is found to be below 5.2 MeV at 90% confidence level. The Breit-Wigner width of the chi(c1)(3872) state is measured to be Gamma chi c13872BW=0.96-0.18+0.19 +/- 0.21MeV={0.96}_{-0.18}<^>{+0.19}\pm 0.21\;\mathrm{MeV} which is inconsistent with zero by 5.5 standard deviations. |

Abstract |
The B+ -> J psi eta'K+ decay is observed for the first time using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The branching fraction of this decay is measured relative to the known branching fraction of the B+ -> psi(2S)K+ decay and found to be B(B+ -> J psi eta'K+)/B(B+ -> psi(2S)K+) = (4.91 +/- 0.47 +/- 0.29 +/- 0.07) x 10(-2), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic and the third is related to external branching fractions. A first look at the J/psi eta' mass distribution is performed and no signal of intermediate resonances is observed. |

Abstract |
Decays of the form B-s(0) -> J/psi K(s)(0)h(+)h((1)-) (h((1)) = K, pi) are searched for in proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1) recorded with the LHCb detector. The first observation of the B-s(0) -> J/psi (KsK +/-)-K-0 pi(-/+) decay is reported, with significance in excess of 10 standard deviations. The B-0 -> J/psi (KsK+K-)-K-0 decay is also observed for the first time. The branching fraction of B-s(0) -> J/psi K(s)(0)h(+)h((1)-) is determined, to significantly better precision than previous measurements, using B-0 -> J/psi K(s)(0)h(+)h((1)-) as a normalisation channel. Branching fractions and upper limits of the other B-(s)(0) -> J/psi K-s(0)pi(+)pi(-) (s modes are determined relative to that of the B-0 -> J/psi K-s(0)pi(+)pi(-) decay. |

Abstract |
The first observation of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi p pi(-) is reported using a data sample of proton-proton collisions at 7 and 8TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). A prominent signal is observed and the branching fraction relative to the decay mode Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi pK(-) is determined to be B(Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi p pi(-))/ B(Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi pK(-)) = 0.0824 +/- 0.0025 (stat) +/- 0.0042 (syst). A search for direct CP violation is performed. The difference in the CP asymmetries between these two decays is found to be ACP(Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi p pi(-))/ A(CP)(Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi pK(-)) = (+5.7 +/- 2.4 (stat) +/- 1.2 (syst))%, which is compatible with CP symmetry at the 2.2 sigma level. |

Abstract |
A study of B-s(0) -> eta(c)phi and B-s(0) -> eta(c)pi(+)pi(-) decays is performed using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector in Run 1 of the LHC. The observation of the decay B-s(0) -> eta(c)phi is reported, where the eta(c) meson is reconstructed in the p (p) over bar, K+K-pi(+)pi(-), pi(+)pi(-)pi(+)pi-and K+K-K+K-decay modes and the phi(1020) in the K+K-decay mode. The decay B-s(0) -> J/psi phi is used as a normalisation channel. Evidence is also reported for the decay B-s(0) -> eta(c)pi(+)pi(-), where the eta(c) meson is reconstructed in the p (p) over bar decay mode, using the decay B-s(0) -> J/psi phi pi(+)pi-as a normalisation channel. The measured branching fractions are B(B-s(0) -> eta(c)phi) = (5 : 01 +/- 0 : 53 +/- 0 : 27 +/- 0 : 63) x 10(-4), B(B-s(0) -> eta(c)pi(+)pi(-)) = (1 : 76 +/- 0 : 59 +/- 0 : 12 +/- 0 : 29) x 10(-4), where in each case the fi rst uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third uncertainty is due to the limited knowledge of the external branching fractions. |

Abstract |
Measurements of four-lepton differential and integrated fiducial cross-sections in events with two same-flavour, opposite-charge electron or muon pairs are presented. The data correspond to 139 fb(-1) of root s = 13 TeV proton-proton collisions, collected by the ATLAS detector during Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider (2015-2018). The final state has contributions from a number of interesting Standard Model processes that dominate in different four-lepton invariant mass regions, including single Z boson production, Higgs boson production and on-shell ZZ production, with a complex mix of interference terms, and possible contributions from physics beyond the Standard Model. The differential cross-sections include the four-lepton invariant mass inclusively, in slices of other kinematic variables, and in different lepton flavour categories. Also measured are dilepton invariant masses, transverse momenta, and angular correlation variables, in four regions of four-lepton invariant mass, each dominated by different processes. The measurements are corrected for detector effects and are compared with state-of-the-art Standard Model calculations, which are found to be consistent with the data. The Z -> 4l branching fraction is extracted, giving a value of (4.41 +/- 0.30) x 10(-6). Constraints on effective field theory parameters and a model based on a spontaneously broken B – L gauge symmetry are also evaluated. Further reinterpretations can be performed with the provided information. |

Abstract |
The first observation of the B-s(0) -> D*+ D*- decay and the measurement of its branching ratio relative to the B-0 -> D*+ D*(-) decay are presented. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions recorded by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV between 2011 and 2018. The decay is observed with more than 10 standard deviations and the time-integrated ratio of branching fractions is determined to be [GRAPHICS] . where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third due to the uncertainty of the fragmentation fraction ratio f(s)/f(d). The B-s(0) -> D*(+) D*(-) branching fraction is calculated to be [GRAPHICS] . where the fourth uncertainty is due to the B-0 -> D*(+) D*(-) branching fraction. These results are calculated using the average B-s(0) meson lifetime in simulation. Correction factors are reported for scenarios where either a purely heavy or a purely light B-s(0) eigenstate is considered. |

Abstract |
The ratio of branching fractions of B-c(+) -> B-s(0)pi(+) and B-c(+) -> J/psi pi(+) decays is measured with proton-proton collision data of a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV. The data were collected with the LHCb experiment during 2016-2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb(-1). The B-s(0) mesons are reconstructed via the decays B-s(0) -> J/psi phi and B-s(0) -> D-s(-)pi(+). The ratio of branching fractions is measured to be B(B-c(+) -> B-s(0)pi(+))/B(B-c(+) -> J/psi pi(+)) = 91 +/- 10 +/- 8 +/- 3 where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic and the third is due to the knowledge of the branching fractions of the intermediate state decays. |

The first observation of the Lambda(0)(b) -> D-s(-) p decay is presented using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of root s = 13TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 6 fb(-1). The isospin asymmetries of B -> K μ(+) μ(-) and B -> K (*) μ(+) μ(-) decays and the partial branching fractions of the B (0) -> K (0) μ(+) μ(-), B (+) -> K (+) μ(+) μ(-) and B (+) -> K (*+) μ(+) μ(-) decays are measured as functions of the dimuon mass squared, q (2). The data used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1) from proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7 TeV and 8 TeV in 2011 and 2012, respectively. The isospin asymmetries are both consistent with the Standard Model expectations. The three measured branching fractions favour lower values than their respective theoretical predictions, however they are all individually consistent with the Standard Model. |
