Abstract |
We determine both real and virtual next-to-leading order corrections to the gluon-induced forward jet vertex from the high energy effective action proposed by Lipatov. For these calculations we employ the same regularization and subtraction formalism developed in our previous work on the quark-initiated vertex. We find agreement with previous results in the literature. |

Abstract |
The decay B-c(+) -> psi(2S)pi(+) with psi(2S) -> mu(+)mu(-) is observed with a significance of 5.2 sigma using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment. The branching fraction of B-c(+) -> psi(2S)pi(+) decays relative to that of the B-c(+) -> J/psi pi(+) mode is measured to be B(B-c(+) -> psi(2S)pi(+))/B(B-c(+) -> J/psi pi(+)) = 0.250 +/- 0.068(stat) +/- 0.014(syst) +/- 0.006(B). The last term is the uncertainty on the ratio B(psi(2S) -> mu(+)mu(-))/B(J/psi -> mu(+)mu(-)). |

Abstract |
A model is developed to describe odd-parity baryon resonances generated dynamically through a unitary baryon-meson coupled-channels approach. The scheme applies to channels with light- and/or heavy-quark content. Distinct features of the model are that i) the interaction is an S-wave contact one, ii) it reduces to the SU(3) Weinberg-Tomozawa Hamiltonian when light pseudoscalar mesons are involved, thus respecting chiral symmetry, iii) spin-flavor is preserved in the light-quark sector, and iv) heavy-quark spin symmetry is fulfilled in the heavy-quark sector. In particular, baryon-meson states with different content in c or in (c) over bar do not mix. The model is a minimal one and it contains no free parameters. In this work, we focus on baryon resonances with hidden charm (at least one (c) over bar and one c quark). We analyze several possible sectors and, for the sector with zero net charm, we write down the most general Lagrangian consistent with SU(3) and heavy-quark spin symmetry. We explicitly study the N and Delta states, which are produced from the S-wave interaction of pseudoscalar and vector mesons with 1/2(+) and 3/2(+) baryons within the charmless and strangeless hidden-charm sector. We predict seven odd-parity N-like and five Delta-like states with masses around 4 GeV, most of them as bound states. These states form heavy-quark spin multiplets, which are almost degenerate in mass. The predicted new resonances definitely cannot be accommodated by quark models with three constituent quarks and they might be looked for in the forthcoming PANDA experiment at the future FAIR facility. |

Abstract |
A search for the decay B-s(0) -> D*(-/+)pi(+/-) is presented using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1) of pp collisions collected by LHCb. This decay is expected to be mediated by a W-exchange diagram, with little contribution from rescattering processes, and therefore a measurement of the branching fraction will help us to understand the mechanism behind related decays such as B-s(0) -> pi(+)pi(-) and B-s(0) -> D (D) over bar. Systematic uncertainties are minimized by using B-0 -> D*(-/+)pi(+/-) as a normalization channel. We find no evidence for a signal, and set an upper limit on the branching fraction of B(B-s(0) -> D*(-/+)pi(+/-) < 6.1(7.8) x 10(-6) at 90% (95%) confidence level. |

Abstract |
T2K has performed the first measurement of nu(mu) inclusive charged current interactions on carbon at neutrino energies of similar to 1 GeV where the measurement is reported as a flux-averaged double differential cross section in muon momentum and angle. The flux is predicted by the beam Monte Carlo and external data, including the results from the NA61/SHINE experiment. The data used for this measurement were taken in 2010 and 2011, with a total of 10.8 x 10(19) protons-on-target. The analysis is performed on 4485 inclusive charged current interaction candidates selected in the most upstream fine-grained scintillator detector of the near detector. The flux-averaged total cross section is <sigma(CC)>(phi) = (6.91 +/- 0.13(stat) +/- 0.84(syst)) x 10(-39) cm(2)/nucleon for a mean neutrino energy of 0.85 GeV. |

Abstract |
We present a strategy to extract the position of the two Lambda(1405) poles from experimental photoproduction data measured recently at different energies in the gamma p -> K+pi(0)Sigma(0) reaction at Jefferson Laboratory. By means of a chiral dynamics motivated potential with free parameters, we solve the Bethe-Salpeter equation in the coupled channels (K) over barN and pi Sigma in isospin I = 0 and parametrize the amplitude for the photonuclear reaction in terms of a linear combination of the pi Sigma -> pi Sigma and (K) over barN -> pi Sigma scattering amplitudes in I = 0, with a different linear combination for each energy. Good fits to the data are obtained with some sets of parameters, by means of which one can also predict the cross section for the K- p -> pi(0)Sigma(0) reaction. These later results help us decide among the possible solutions. The result is that the different solutions lead to two poles similar to those found in the chiral unitary approach. With the best result we find the two Lambda(1405) poles at 1385 – 68i MeV and 1419 – 22i MeV. |

Abstract |
We review and extend the model derived in Garcia-Recio et al. [Phys. Rev. D 83, 016007 (2011)] to address the dynamics of the low-lying even-parity meson resonances. This model is based on a coupled-channels spin-flavor extension of the chiralWeinberg-Tomozawa Lagrangian. This interaction is then used to study the S-wave meson-meson scattering involving members not only of the pi octet, but also of the rho nonet. In this work, we study in detail the structure of the SU(6)-symmetry-breaking contact terms that respect (or softly break) chiral symmetry. We derive the most general local (without involving derivatives) terms consistent with the chiral-symmetry-breaking pattern of QCD. After introducing sensible simplifications to reduce the large number of possible operators, we carry out a phenomenological discussion of the effects of these terms. We show how the inclusion of these pieces leads to an improvement of the description of the J(P) = 2(+) sector, without spoiling the main features of the predictions obtained in the original model in the JP = 0(+) and J(P) = 1(+) sectors. In particular, we find a significantly better description of the I-G(J(PC)) =0(+)(2(++)), 1(-)(2(++)) and the I(JP)=1/2(2(+)) sectors, which correspond to the f(2)(1270), a(2)(1320), and K-2(*)(1430) quantum numbers, respectively. |

Abstract |
We study the decay (B) over bar (0) -> Lambda(+)(c) (p) over bar pi(+) pi(-), reconstructing the Lambda(+)(c) baryon in the pK(-) pi(+) mode, using a data sample of 467 X 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage rings at SLAC. We measure branching fractions for decays with intermediate Sigma(c) baryons to be B[(B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2455)(++) (p) over bar (-) pi(-)] = (21.3 +/- 1.0 +/- 1.0 +/- 5.5) X 10(-5), B[(B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2520)(++) (p) over bar (-) pi(-)] = (11.5 +/- 1.0 +/- 0.5 +/- 3.0) X 10(-5), B[(B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2455)(0) (p) over bar (-) pi(-)] – (9.1 +/- 0.7 +/- 0.4 +/- 2.4) X 10(-5), and B[(B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2520)(++) (p) over bar (-) pi(-)] – (2.2 +/- 0.7 +/- 0.1 +/- 0.6) X 10(-5), where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the uncertainty on the Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-) pi(+) branching fraction, respectively. For decays without Sigma(c)(2455) or Sigma(c)(2520) resonances, we measure B[(B) over bar (0) -> Lambda(+)(c) (p) over bar pi(+) pi(-)](non-Sigma c) =(79 +/- 4 +/- 4 +/- 20) X 10(-5). The total branching fraction is determined to be B[(B) over bar (0) -> Lambda(+)(c) (p) over bar pi(+) pi(-)](total) = (123 +/- 5 +/- 7 +/- 32) X 10(-5). We examine multibody mass combinations in the resonant three-particle Sigma(c) final states and in the four-particle Lambda(+)(c) (p) over bar pi(+) pi(-) final state, and observe different characteristics for the (p) over bar pi combination in neutral versus doubly charged Sigma(c) decays. |

Abstract |
The process e(+)e(-) -> p (p) over bar gamma is studied using 469 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, at an e(+)e(-) center-of-mass energy of 10.6 GeV. From the analysis of the p (p) over bar invariant mass spectrum, the energy dependence of the cross section for e(+)e(-) -> p (p) over bar is measured from threshold to 4.5 GeV. The energy dependence of the ratio of electric and magnetic form factors, vertical bar G(E)/G(M)vertical bar, and the asymmetry in the proton angular distribution are measured for p (p) over bar masses below 3 GeV. We also measure the branching fractions for the decays J/psi -> p (p) over bar and psi(2S) -> p (p) over bar are also determined. |

Abstract |
Using an interaction extracted from the local hidden-gauge Lagrangians, which brings together vector and pseudoscalar mesons, and the coupled channels rho N (s wave), pi N (d wave), pi Delta (s wave), and pi Delta (d wave), we look in the region ofv root s = 1400-1850 MeV and find two resonances dynamically generated by the interaction of these channels, which are naturally associated to N*(1520)(3/2(-)) and N*(1700)(3/2(-)). N*(1700)(3/2(-)) appears neatly as a pole in the complex plane. The free parameters of the theory are chosen to fit the pi N (d-wave) data. Both the real and imaginary parts of the pi N amplitude vanish in our approach in the vicinity of this resonance, which is similar to what happens in experimental determinations and which makes this signal very weak in this channel. This feature could explain why this resonance does not show up in some experimental analyses, but the situation is analogous to that of the f(0)(980) resonance, the second scalar meson after sigma[f(0)(500)] in the pi pi(d-wave) amplitude. The unitary coupled channel approach followed here, in connectionwith the experimental data, leads automatically to a pole in the 1700-MeV region and makes this second 3/2-resonance unavoidable. |
