Abstract: A measurement of four branching-fraction ratios for three-body decays of B mesons involving two open-charm hadrons in the final state is presented. Run 1 and Run 2 pp collision data are used, recorded by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies 7, 8, and 13 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The measured branching-fraction ratios are<disp-formula id=“Equa”>BB+-> D+D-K+BB+-> D<overbar>0D0K+=0.5170.0150.013 +/- 0.011,BB+-> D-D+K+BB+-> D<overbar>0D0K+=0.577 +/- 0.016 +/- 0.013 +/- 0.013,BB0 -> D-D0K+BB0 -> D-D0K+=1.754 +/- 0.028 +/- 0.016 +/- 0.035,BB+-> D+D-K+BB+-> D-D+K+=0.907 +/- 0.033+/- 0.014,<graphic position=“anchor” xmlns:xlink=“http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink” xlink:href=“13130202014428ArticleEqua.gif”></graphic></disp-formula><p id=“Par2”>where the first of the uncertainties is statistical, the second systematic, and the third is due to the uncertainties on the D-meson branching fractions. Abstract: A data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment has been analysed to search for D-(s)(()*())+ ((D) over bar)(*)0 decays. The decays are fully or partially reconstructed, where one or two (8) missing neutral pions or photons from the decay of an excited charm meson are allowed. Upper limits for the branching fractions, normalised to B+ decays to final states with similar topologies, are obtained for sixteen B-c(+) decay modes. For the decay B-c(+) -> D-s(+)(D) over bar (0), an excess with a significance of 3.4 standard deviations is found.

Abstract: A combination of measurements sensitive to the CP violation angle gamma of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitarity triangle and to the charm mixing parameters that describe oscillations between D-0 and (D) over bar (0) mesons is performed. Results from the charm and beauty sectors, based on data collected with the LHCb detector at CERN's Large Hadron Collider, are combined for the first time. This method provides an improvement on the precision of the charm mixing parameter y by a factor of two with respect to the current world average. The charm mixing parameters are determined to be x = (0.400(-0.053)(+0.052))% and y = (0.630(-0.030)(+0.033))%. The angle gamma is found to be gamma = (65.4(-4.2)(+3.8))degrees and is the most precise determination from a single experiment.

Abstract: A measurement of the CP-violating observables from B -> (DK +/-)-K-* and B-+/- -> D-*pi(+/-) decays is presented, where D-*(D) is an admixture of D-*0 and D-0 (D-0 and (0)) states and is reconstructed through the decay chains D-*-> D pi(0)/gamma and D -> KS0 pi+pi-/KS0K+K-. The measurement is performed by analysing the signal yield variation across the D decay phase space and is independent of any amplitude model. The data sample used was collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions and corresponds to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV. The CKM angle gamma is determined to be (69(-14)(+13))degrees using the measured CP-violating observables. The hadronic parameters r(B)(D)*(K +/-),r(B)(D)*(pi +/-),delta(D)(B)*(K +/-),delta(D)(B)*(pi +/-), which are the ratios and strong phase differences between favoured and suppressed B-+/- decays, are also reported.

Abstract: We report on measurements of the time-dependent CP violating observables in B-s(0) -> D-s(-/+) K--/+ decays using a dataset corresponding to 1.0 fb(-1) of pp collisions recorded with the LHCb detector. We find the CP violating observables C-f = 0.53 +/- 0.25 +/- 0.04, A(f)(Delta Gamma) = 0.37 +/- 0.42 +/- 0.20, A((f) over bar)(Delta Gamma) = 0.20 +/- 0.41 +/- 0.20, S-f = -1.09 +/- 0.33 +/- 0.08, S-(f) over bar = -0.36 +/- 0.34 +/- 0.08, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. Using these observables together with a recent measurement of the B-s(0) mixing phase -2 beta(s) leads to the first extraction of the CKM angle gamma from B-s(0) -> D-s(-/+) K--/+ decays, finding gamma = (115(-43)(+28))degrees modulo 180 degrees at 68% CL, where the error contains both statistical and systematic uncertainties.
