Abstract |
We study electromagnetic properties of particles with magnetic moment and no charge using their behavior when traversing coils and solenoids. These particles via the Faraday-Lenz law create a current whose energy we calculate. We analyze both the case of very long lived, almost stable, particles and those with a finite lifetime. We use this development to study the behavior of monopolium a monopole-antimonopole bound state in its excited states. |

Abstract |
The mass spectrum of pi(+) and rho(+) mesons in the presence of a static uniform magnetic field (B) over right arrow is studied within a two-flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio-like model. We improve previous calculations, taking into account the effect of Schwinger phases carried by quark propagators and using an expansion of meson fields in terms of the solutions of the corresponding equations of motion for nonzero B. It is shown that the meson polarization functions are diagonal in this basis. Our numerical results for the rho(+) meson spectrum are found to disfavor the existence of a meson condensate induced by the magnetic field. In the case of the pi(+) meson, pi-rho mixing effects are analyzed for the meson lowest-energy state. The predictions of the model are compared with available lattice QCD results. |

Abstract |
A Galactic cosmic-ray transport model featuring non-homogeneous transport has been developed over the latest years. This setup is aimed at reproducing gamma-ray observations in different regions of the Galaxy (with particular focus on the progressive hardening of the hadronic spectrum in the inner Galaxy) and was shown to be compatible with the very-high-energy gamma-ray diffuse emission recently detected up to PeV energies. In this work, we extend the results previously presented to test the reliability of that model throughout the whole sky. To this aim, we compare our predictions with detailed longitude and latitude profiles of the diffuse gamma-ray emission measured by Fermi-LAT for different energies and compute the expected Galactic nu diffuse emission, comparing it with current limits from the ANTARES collaboration. We emphasize that the possible detection of a Galactic nu component will allow us to break the degeneracy between our model and other scenarios featuring prominent contributions from unresolved sources and TeV halos. |

Abstract |
We present the development of neutron-tagging techniques in Super-Kamiokande IV using a neural network analysis. The detection efficiency of neutron capture on hydrogen is estimated to be 26%, with a mis-tag rate of 0.016 per neutrino event. The uncertainty of the tagging efficiency is estimated to be 9.0%. Measurement of the tagging efficiency with data from an Americium-Beryllium calibration agrees with this value within 10%. The tagging procedure was performed on 3,244.4 days of SK-IV atmospheric neutrino data, identifying 18,091 neutrons in 26,473 neutrino events. The fitted neutron capture lifetime was measured as 218 +/- 9 μs. |

Abstract |
We study the phenomenology of a particular leptoquark extension of the Standard Model (SM), namely the doublet-singlet scalar leptoquark extension of the SM (DSL-SM). Besides generating Majorana mass for neutrinos, these leptoquarks contribute to muon and electron (g – 2) and various lepton flavor violating processes. Collider signatures of the benchmark points (BPs), consistent with the neutrino oscillation data, anomalous muon/electron magnetic moments, experimental bounds on the charged lepton flavor violation observables, etc., are studied at the LHC/FCC with center-of-mass energies of 14, 27 and 100 TeV. While the two -1=3 charged colored scalars from the singlet and the doublet leptoquark mix with each other, the charge 2=3 colored scalar from the doublet leptoquark remains pure. With a near-degenerate mass spectrum, the pure and mixed leptoquark states are shown to be distinguishable from multiple final states, while discerning between the two mixed states remains very challenging. |
