Abstract |
A search for high-mass charged and neutral bosons decaying to W gamma and Z gamma final states is presented in this paper. The analysis uses a data sample of root s = 13TeV proton-proton collisions with an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1) collected by the ATLAS detector during LHC Run 2 operation. The sensitivity of the search is determined using models of the production and decay of spin-1 charged bosons and spin-0/2 neutral bosons. The range of resonance masses explored extends from 1.0TeV to 6.8TeV. At these high resonance masses, it is beneficial to target the hadronic decays of the W and Z bosons because of their large branching fractions. The decay products of the high-momentum W/Z bosons are strongly collimated and boosted-boson tagging techniques are employed to improve the sensitivity. No evidence of a signal above the Standard Model backgrounds is observed, and upper limits on the production cross-sections of these bosons times their branching fractions to W gamma and Z gamma are derived for various boson production models. |

Abstract |
A search for heavy long-lived multi-charged particles is performed using the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Data collected in 2015-2018 at root s = 13 TeV from pp collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1) are examined. Particles producing anomalously high ionization, consistent with long-lived spin-1/2 massive particles with electric charges from |q| = 2e to |q| = 7e are searched for. No statistically significant evidence of such particles is observed, and 95% confidence level cross-section upper limits are calculated and interpreted as the lower mass limits for a Drell-Yan plus photon-fusion production mode. The least stringent limit, 1060 GeV, is obtained for |q| = 2e particles, and the most stringent one, 1600 GeV, is for |q| = 6e particles. |

Abstract |
A search is reported for excited tau-leptons and leptoquarks in events with two hadronically decaying tau-leptons and two or more jets. The search uses proton-proton (pp) collision data at root s = 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment during the Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider in 2015-2018. The total integrated luminosity is 139 fb(-1). The excited tau-lepton is assumed to be produced and to decay via a four-fermion contact interaction into an ordinary tau-lepton and a quark-antiquark pair. The leptoquarks are assumed to be produced in pairs via the strong interaction, and each leptoquark is assumed to couple to a charm or lighter quark and a tau-lepton. No excess over the background prediction is observed. Excited tau-leptons with masses below 2.8 TeV are excluded at 95% CL in scenarios with the contact interaction scale Lambda set to 10 TeV. At the extreme limit of model validity where Lambda is set equal to the excited tau-lepton mass, excited tau-leptons with masses below 4.6 TeV are excluded. Leptoquarks with masses below 1.3 TeV are excluded at 95% CL if their branching ratio to a charm quark and a tau-lepton equals 1. The analysis does not exploit flavour-tagging in the signal region. |

Abstract |
The CP properties of the coupling between the Higgs boson and the top quark are investigated using 139 fb(-1) of proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of root s = 13 TeV. The CP structure of the top quark-Higgs boson Yukawa coupling is probed in events with a Higgs boson decaying into a pair of b-quarks and produced in association with either a pair of top quarks, t (t) over barH or a single top quark, tH. Events containing one or two electrons or muons are used for the measurement. Multivariate techniques are used to select regions enriched in t (t) over barh and tH events, where dedicated SP-sensitive observables are exploited. In an extension of the Standard Model (SM) with a CP-odd admixture in the top-Higgs Yukawa coupling, the mixing angle between CP-even and CP-odd couplings is measured to be alpha = 11 degrees(+52 degrees)(-73 degrees) compatible with the SM prediction corresponding to alpha = 0. |

Abstract |
A search for vector-like leptons in multilepton (two, three, or four-or-more electrons plus muons) final states with zero or more hadronic tau-lepton decays is presented. The search is performed using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. To maximize the separation of signal and background, a machine-learning classifier is used. No excess of events is observed beyond the Standard Model expectation. Using a doublet vector-like lepton model, vector-like leptons coupling to third-generation Standard Model leptons are excluded in the mass range from 130 GeV to 900 GeV at the 95% confidence level, while the highest excluded mass is expected to be 970 GeV. |
