Abstract |
A combination of the searches for pair-produced vectorlike partners of the top and bottom quarks in various decay channels (T -> Zt/Wb/Ht, B -> Zb/Wt/Hb) is performed using 36.1 fb(-1) of pp collision data at root s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The observed data are found to be in good agreement with the standard model background prediction in all individual searches. Therefore, combined 95% confidence-level upper limits are set on the production cross section for a range of vectorlike quark scenarios, significantly improving upon the reach of the individual searches. Model-independent limits are set assuming the vectorlike quarks decay to standard model particles. A singlet T is excluded for masses below 1.31 TeV and a singlet B is excluded for masses below 1.22 TeV. Assuming a weak isospin (T, B) doublet and vertical bar V-Tb vertical bar << vertical bar V-tB vertical bar, T and B masses below 1.37 TeV are excluded. |

Abstract |
The cross section for prompt antiproton production in collisions of protons with an energy of 6.5 TeV incident on helium nuclei at rest is measured with the LHCb experiment from a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.5 nb(-1). The target is provided by injecting helium gas into the LHC beam line at the LHCb interaction point. The reported results, covering antiproton momenta between 12 and 110 GeV/c, represent the first direct determination of the antiproton production cross section in p-He collisions, and impact the interpretation of recent results on antiproton cosmic rays from space-borne experiments. |

Abstract |
We provide a new value for the ratio R = Gamma(pi(0) -> e(+)e(-)gamma(gamma))/Gamma(pi(0) -> gamma gamma) = 11.978(6) x 10(-3), which is by 2 orders of magnitude more precise than the current Particle Data Group average. It is obtained using the complete set of the next-to-leading-order radiative corrections in the QED sector, and incorporates up-to-date values of the pi(0)-transition-form-factor slope. The ratio R translates into the branching ratios of the two main pi(0) decay modes: B(pi(0) -> gamma gamma) = 98.8131(6)% and B(pi(0) -> e(+)e(-)gamma(gamma)) = 1.1836(6)%. |

Abstract |
A measurement of the charm-mixing parameter Y-CP using D-0 -> K+K-, D-0 -> pi(+)pi(-), and D-0 -> K-pi(+)decays is reported. The D-0 mesons are required to originate from semimuonic decays of B- and (B) over bar (0)mesons. These decays are partially reconstructed in a data set of proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV collected with the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). The y c p parameter is measured to be (0.57 +/- 0.13(stat) +/- 0.09(syst))%, in agreement with, and as precise as, the current world-average value. |

Abstract |
We search for single-photon decays of the Gamma(1S) resonance, Gamma -> gamma + invisible, where the invisible state is either a particle of definite mass, such as a light Higgs boson A(0), or a pair of dark matter particles, chi(chi) over bar. Both A(0) and chi are assumed to have zero spin. We tag Gamma(1S) decays with a dipion transition Gamma(1S) -> pi(+)pi(-)Y(1S) and look for events with a single energetic photon and significant missing energy. We find no evidence for such processes in the mass range m(A0) <= 9.2 GeV and m(chi) <= 4.5 GeV in the sample of 98 x 10(6) Gamma(2S) decays collected with the BABAR detector and set stringent limits on new physics models that contain light dark matter states. |
