ATLAS Collaboration(Aaboud, M. et al), Alvarez Piqueras, D., Aparisi Pozo, J. A., Bailey, A. J., Barranco Navarro, L., Cabrera Urban, S., et al. (2018). Observation of H -> b(b)over-bar decays and V H production with the ATLAS detector. Phys. Lett. B, 786, 59–86.
Abstract: A search for the decay of the Standard Model Higgs boson into a b (b) over bar pair when produced in association with a W or Z boson is performed with the ATLAS detector. The data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 79.8 fb(-1) were collected in proton-proton collisions during Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. For a Higgs boson mass of 125 GeV, an excess of events over the expected background from other Standard Model processes is found with an observed (expected) significance of 4.9 (4.3) standard deviations. A combination with the results from other searches in Run 1 and in Run 2 for the Higgs boson in the bb decay mode is performed, which yields an observed (expected) significance of 5.4 (5.5) standard deviations, thus providing direct observation of the Higgs boson decay into b-quarks. The ratio of the measured event yield for a Higgs boson decaying into b (b) over bar to the Standard Model expectation is 1.01 +/- 0.12(stat.) (-0.15) (+0.16)(syst.). Additionally, a combination of Run 2 results searching for the Higgs boson produced in association with a vector boson yields an observed (expected) significance of 5.3 (4.8) standard deviations.

Abstract: We study the process e(+)e(-) -> e(+)e(-)eta' in the double-tag mode and measure for the first time the gamma*gamma* -> eta' transition form factor F-eta'(Q(1)(2), Q(2)(2)) in the momentum-transfer range 2 < Q(1)(2), Q(2)(2) < 60 GeV2. The analysis is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of around 469 fb(-1) collected at the PEP-II e(+)e(-) collider with the BABAR detector at center-of-mass energies near 10.6 GeV.

Mandal, R. (2018). Fermionic dark matter in leptoquark portal. Eur. Phys. J. C, 78(9), 726–6pp.
Abstract: We investigate a beyond standard model (SM) portal scenario for dark matter (DM) particle with leptoquark being the mediator field. Leptoquark, a colored particle having both baryon and lepton number, allows the DM to interact with the SM fields via renormalizable interaction. By focusing on a vector leptoquark portal with Majorana fermion DM candidate, we find the only unknown coupling in the model is sensitive to all three main features of a DM model namely, relic density, direct detection as well as indirect detection, while being consistent with collider data. We explore the parameter space of the portal with minimum of its field content and find that AMS-02 data for antiproton flux imposes stringent bound till date and excludes the DM mass up to 400 GeV. The LUX 2016 data for DM-neutron scattering cross section allows the region compatible with relic density, however the future sensitivity of LUX-ZEPLIN experiment can probe the model up to its perturbative limit.

LHCb Collaboration(Aaij, R. et al), Garcia Martin, L. M., Henry, L., Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., Remon Alepuz, C., et al. (2018). Search for lepton-flavour-violating decays of Higgs-like bosons. Eur. Phys. J. C, 78(12), 1008–12pp.
Abstract: A search is presented for a Higgs-like boson with mass in the range 45 to 195 GeV/c(2) decaying into a muon and a tau lepton. The dataset consists of proton-proton interactions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb -1. The tau leptons are reconstructed in both leptonic and hadronic decay channels. An upper limit on the production cross-sectionmultiplied by the branching fraction at 95% confidence level is set and ranges from 22 pb for a boson mass of 45 GeV/c(2) to 4 pb for a mass of 195 GeV/c(2).

Sarriguren, P., Algora, A., & Kiss, G. (2018). beta-decay properties of neutron-rich Ca, Ti, and Cr isotopes. Phys. Rev. C, 98(2), 024311–10pp.
Abstract: beta-decay properties of neutron-rich Ca, Ti, and Cr isotopes are studied within a deformed proton-neutron quasiparticle random-phase approximation. The underlying mean field is described self-consistently from deformed Skyrme Hartree-Fock calculations with pairing correlations. Residual spin-isospin interactions in the particle-hole and particle-particle channels are also included in the formalism. The energy distributions of the Gamow-Teller strength, the beta-decay feedings, the beta-decay half-lives, and the beta-delayed neutron emission probabilities are discussed and compared with other theoretical results, as well as with the available experimental information. The evolution of these nuclear beta-decay properties is investigated in isotopic chains in a search for structural changes. A reliable estimate of the beta-decay properties in this mass region is valuable information for evaluating decay rates in astrophysical scenarios.
