Abstract: The multihadron decays Lambda(0)(b) -> D(+)p pi(-)pi(-) and Lambda(0 )(b)-> D-*+p pi(-)pi(-) are observed in data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3fb(-1), collected in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV by the LHCb detector. Using the decay Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda(+)(c)pi(+)pi(-)pi(-) as a normalisation channel, the ratio of branching fractions is measured to be B(Lambda(0)(b) -> D(+)p pi(-)pi(-))/B(Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda(+)(c)pi(+)pi(-)pi(-)) x B(D+ -> K-pi(+)pi(+))/B(Lambda(+)(c)-> pK(-)pi(+)) = (5.35 +/- 0.21 +/- 0.16) %, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The ratio of branching fractions for the Lambda(0)(b)-> D-*+p pi(-)pi(-) and Lambda(0)(b) -> D(+)p pi(-)pi(-) decays is found to be B(Lambda(0)(b)-> D-*+p pi(-)pi(-))/B(Lambda(0)(b) -> D(+)p pi(-)pi(-)) x (B(D-*+-> D+pi(0)) + B(D (*)+-> D- (+)gamma)) = (61.3 +/- 4.3 +/- 4.0) %.

Abstract: Searches for rare B-s(0) and B-0 decays into four muons are performed using proton-proton collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). Direct decays and decays via light scalar and J/psi resonances are considered. No evidence for the six decays searched for is found and upper limits at the 95% confidence level on their branching fractions ranging between 1.8 x 10(-10) and 2.6 x 10(-9) are set.

Abstract: Using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) collected with the LHCb detector, seven decay modes of the B-C(+) meson into a J/psi or psi(2S) meson and three charged hadrons, kaons or pions, are studied. The decays B-C (+)-> (psi(2S) -> J/psi pi(+)pi(-))pi(+), B+C -> (psi(2S)pi(+)pi(-)pi(+), B+C -> J/psi K+pi(-)pi(+) and B+C -> J/K+K-K+ are observed for the first time, and evidence for the B-C (+)-> (psi(2S)K+K-pi(+), decay is found, where J/psi and psi(2S) mesons are reconstructed in their dimuon decay modes. The ratios of branching fractions between the different B-C(+) decays are reported as well as the fractions of the decays proceeding via intermediate resonances. The results largely support the factorisation approach used for a theoretical description of the studied decays.

Abstract: A search for the doubly charmed baryon Xi(+)(cc) is performed in the Xi(+)(c)pi(-)pi(+ )invariant-mass spectrum, where the Xi(-)(cc) baryon is reconstructed in the pK(-)pi(+) final state. The study uses proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at a centreof-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb(-1). No significant signal is observed in the invariant-mass range of 3.4-3.8 GeV/c(2). Upper limits are set on the ratio of branching fractions multiplied by the production cross-section with respect to the Xi(++)(cc) -> (Xi(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+)+/-)pi(+ ) decay for different Xi(+)(cc) mass and lifetime hy- potheses in the rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and the transverse momentum range from 2.5 to 25 GeV/c. The results from this search are combined with a previously published search for the Xi(+)(cc) -> A(c)(+)K(-)pi(+ ) decay mode, yielding a maximum local significance of 4.0 standard deviations around the mass of 3620 MeV/c(2), including systematic uncertainties. Taking into account the look-elsewhere effect in the 3.5-3.7 GeV/c(2) mass window, the combined global significance is 2.9 standard deviations including systematic uncertainties.

Abstract: A data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment has been analysed to search for D-(s)(()*())+ ((D) over bar)(*)0 decays. The decays are fully or partially reconstructed, where one or two (8) missing neutral pions or photons from the decay of an excited charm meson are allowed. Upper limits for the branching fractions, normalised to B+ decays to final states with similar topologies, are obtained for sixteen B-c(+) decay modes. For the decay B-c(+) -> D-s(+)(D) over bar (0), an excess with a significance of 3.4 standard deviations is found.

Abstract: The first full angular analysis of the B0 -> D-Ds+ decay is performed using 6 fb(-1) of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The Ds+-> Ds+gamma and D*- -> D<overbar></mml:mover>0- vector meson decays are used with the subsequent Ds+ -> K+K-pi (+) and D<overbar></mml:mover>0 -> K+pi (-) decays. All helicity amplitudes and phases are measured, and the longitudinal polarisation fraction is determined to be f(L) = 0.578 +/- 0.010 +/- 0.011 with world-best precision, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The pattern of helicity amplitude magnitudes is found to align with expectations from quark-helicity conservation in B decays. The ratio of branching fractions [B(B0 -> D-Ds+) x B(Ds+-> Ds+gamma)]/B(B-0 -> D(*-)Ds+) is measured to be 2.045 +/- 0.022 +/- 0.071 with world-best precision. In addition, the first observation of the Cabibbo-suppressed B-s -> D(*-)Ds+ decay is made with a significance of seven standard deviations. The branching fraction ratio B(B-s -> D(*-)Ds<mml:mo>+)/B(B-0 -> D(*-)Ds<mml:mo>+) is measured to be 0.049 +/- 0.006 +/- 0.003 +/- 0.002, where the third uncertainty is due to limited knowledge of the ratio of fragmentation fractions.<fig id=“Figa” position=“anchor”><graphic position=“anchor” specific-use=“HTML” mime-subtype=“JPEG” xmlns:xlink=“http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink” xlink:href=“MediaObjects/13130202116089FigaHTML.jpg” id=“MO1”></graphic

Abstract: The Cabibbo-suppressed decay Lambda b0</mml:msubsup>-> chi (c1)p(-) is observed for the first time using data from proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Evidence for the Lambda b0</mml:msubsup>-> chi (c2)p(-) decay is also found. Abstract: Measurements of four-lepton differential and integrated fiducial cross-sections in events with two same-flavour, opposite-charge electron or muon pairs are presented. The data correspond to 139 fb(-1) of root s = 13 TeV proton-proton collisions, collected by the ATLAS detector during Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider (2015-2018). The final state has contributions from a number of interesting Standard Model processes that dominate in different four-lepton invariant mass regions, including single Z boson production, Higgs boson production and on-shell ZZ production, with a complex mix of interference terms, and possible contributions from physics beyond the Standard Model. The differential cross-sections include the four-lepton invariant mass inclusively, in slices of other kinematic variables, and in different lepton flavour categories. Also measured are dilepton invariant masses, transverse momenta, and angular correlation variables, in four regions of four-lepton invariant mass, each dominated by different processes. The measurements are corrected for detector effects and are compared with state-of-the-art Standard Model calculations, which are found to be consistent with the data. The Z -> 4l branching fraction is extracted, giving a value of (4.41 +/- 0.30) x 10(-6). Constraints on effective field theory parameters and a model based on a spontaneously broken B – L gauge symmetry are also evaluated. Further reinterpretations can be performed with the provided information.

Abstract: A search for the B-s(0) -> D*(+/-) D--/+ decay is performed using proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The decay is observed with a high significance and its branching fraction relative to the B-0 -> D*(+/-) D--/+ decay is measured to be B(B-s(0) -> D*D-+/-(-/+))/B(B-0 -> D*D-+/-(-/+)) = 0.137 +/- 0.017 +/- 0.002 +/- 0.006, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third is due to the uncertainty on the ratio of the B-s(0) and B-0 hadronisation fractions.

Abstract: A search for the rare decay B-0 -> J/psi phi, is performed using pp collision data collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). No significant signal of the decay is observed and an upper limit of 1.1 x 10(-7) at 90% confidence level is set on the branching fraction.
