Abstract |
We perform a calculation of the mass distribution in the psi(3770) -> gamma D (D) over bar decay, studying both the D+D- and D-0(D) over bar (0) decays. The electromagnetic interaction is such that the tree level amplitude is null for the neutral channel, which forces the psi(3770) -> gamma D-0(D) over bar (0) transition to go through a loop involving the D+D- -> D-0(D) over bar (0) scattering amplitude. We take the results for this amplitude from a theoretical model that predicts a D (D) over bar bound state and find a D-0(D) over bar (0) mass distribution in the decay drastically different than phase space. The rates obtained are relatively large and the experiment is easily feasible in the present BESIII facility. The performance of this experiment could provide an answer to the issue of this much searched for state, which is the analogue of the f(0)(980) resonance. |

Abstract |
A Sigma* resonance with spin-parity J(P) = 1/2(-) and mass in the vicinity of the (K) over barN threshold has been predicted in the unitary chiral approach and inferred from the analysis of CLAS data on the gamma p -> K+pi(0)Sigma(0) reaction. In this work, based on the dominant Cabibbo favored weak decay mechanism, we perform a study of Lambda(+)(c) -> pi(+)pi(0)Sigma* with the possible Sigma* state decaying into pi(-)Sigma(+) through a triangle diagram. This process is initiated by Lambda(+)(c) -> pi(+)(K) over bar *N, then the (K) over bar* decays into (K) over bar pi and (K) over barN produce the Sigma* through a triangle loop containing (K) over bar *N (K) over bar which develops a triangle singularity. We show that the pi(-)Sigma(+) state is generated from final state interaction of (K) over barN in S-wave and isospin I = 1, and the Lambda(+)(c) -> pi(+)pi(0)pi(-)Sigma(+) decay can be used to study the possible Sigma* state around the (K) over barN threshold. The proposed decay mechanism can provide valuable information on the nature of the Sigma* resonance and can in principle be tested by facilities such as LHCb, BelleII and BESIII. |

Abstract |
We present a way to evaluate the scattering of unstable particles quantized in a finite volume with the aim of extracting physical observables for infinite volume from lattice data. We illustrate the method with the pi rho scattering which generates dynamically the axial-vector a(1)(1260) resonance. Energy levels in a finite box are evaluated both considering the rho as a stable and unstable resonance and we find significant differences between both cases. We discuss how to solve the problem to get the physical scattering amplitudes in the infinite volume, and hence phase shifts, from possible lattice results on energy levels quantized inside a finite box. |

Abstract |
We study theoretically the resonant structure of the double Cabibbo suppressed D+ -> K-K+K+ decay. We start from an elementary production diagram, considered subleading in previous approaches, which cannot produce a final K-K+ pair at the tree level but which we show to be able to provide the strength of the decay through final meson-meson state interaction. The different meson-meson elementary productions are related through SU(3), and the final rescattering is implemented from a suitable implementation of unitary extensions of chiral perturbation theory, which generate dynamically the scalar resonances1 f(0)(980) and a(0)(980). We obtain a good agreement with recent experimental data from the LHCb Collaboration with a minimal freedom in the fit and show the dominance of the a(0)(980) contribution close to the threshold of the K-K+ spectrum. |

Abstract |
Phase shifts and resonance parameters can be obtained from finite-volume lattice spectra for interacting pairs of particles, moving with non-zero total momentum. We present a simple derivation of the method that is subsequently applied to obtain the pi pi and pi K phase shifts in the sectors with total isospin I – 0 and I – 1/2, respectively. Considering different total momenta, one obtains extra data points for a given volume that allow for a very efficient extraction of the resonance parameters in the infinite-volume limit. Corrections due to the mixing of partial waves are provided. We expect that our results will help to optimize the strategies in lattice simulations, which aim at an accurate determination of the scattering and resonance properties. |
