Abstract: A search for the decay B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) is performed using proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). No evidence for the B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) decay is found and an upper limit on the branching fraction, excluding the 0 and charmonium regions in the dimuon spectrum, of 4.4 x 10(-3) at a 90% credibility level, relative to that of the B-s(0) -> phi mu(+) mu(-) decay, is established. Using the measured B-s(0) -> phi mu(+) mu(-) branching fraction and assuming a phase-space model, the absolute branching fraction of the decay B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) in the full q(2) range is determined to be less than 3.2 x 10(-9) at a 90% credibility level.

Abstract: A search for the charmless B-s(0) -> eta'phi decay is performed using pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). No signal is observed and upper limits on the B-s(0) -> eta'phi branching fraction are set to 0.82 x 10(-6) at 90% and 1.01 x 10(-6) at 95% confidence level.

Abstract: A search for the b (b) over bar decay of the Standard Model Higgs boson is performed with the ATLAS experiment using the full dataset recorded at the LHC in Run 1. The integrated luminosities used are 4.7 and 20.3 fb(-1) from pp collisions at root s = 7 and 8 TeV, respectively. The processes considered are associated (WIZ)H production, where W -> e nu/mu nu, Z -> ee/mu mu, and Z -> nu nu. The observed (expected) deviation from the backgroundonly hypothesis corresponds to a significance of 1.4 (2.6) standard deviations and the ratio of the measured signal yield to the Standard Model expectation is found to be μ= 0.52 +/- 0.32 (stat.) +/- 0.24 (syst.) for a Higgs boson mass of 125.36 GeV. The analysis procedure is validated by a measurement of the yield of (W/Z)Z production with Z -> b (b) over bar in the same final states as for the Higgs boson search, from which the ratio of the observed signal yield to the Standard Model expectation is found to be 0.74 +/- 0.09 (stat.) +/- 0.14 (syst.).

Abstract: This paper presents a search for new heavy particles decaying into a pair of top quarks using 139 fb(-1) of proton-proton collision data recorded at a centre-of-mass energy of root s = 13TeV with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The search is performed using events consistent with pair production of high-transverse-momentum top quarks and their subsequent decays into the fully hadronic final states. The analysis is optimized for resonances decaying into a t (t) over bar pair with mass above 1.4TeV, exploiting a dedicated multivariate technique with jet substructure to identify hadronically decaying top quarks using large-radius jets and evaluating the background expectation from data. No significant deviation from the background prediction is observed. Limits are set on the production cross-section times branching fraction for the new Z' boson in a topcolor-assisted-technicolor model. The Z0 boson masses below 3.9 and 4.7TeV are excluded at 95% confidence level for the decay widths of 1% and 3%, respectively.

Abstract: A search for a new heavy scalar or pseudo-scalar Higgs boson (H/A) produced in association with a pair of top quarks, with the Higgs boson decaying into a pair of top quarks (H/A -> t (t) over bar) is reported. The search targets a final state with exactly two leptons with same-sign electric charges or at least three leptons. The analysed dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions collected at a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Two multivariate classifiers are used to separate the signal from the background. No significant excess of events over the Standard Model expectation is observed. The results are interpreted in the context of a type-II two-Higgs-doublet model. The observed (expected) upper limits at 95% confidence level on the t (t) over barH/A production cross-section times the branching ratio of H/A -> t (t) over bar range between 14 (10) fb and 6 (5) fb for a heavy Higgs boson with mass between 400 GeV and 1000 GeV, respectively. Assuming that only one particle, either the scalar H or the pseudo-scalar A, contributes to the t (t) over bart (t) over bar final state, values of tan beta below 1.2 or 0.5 are excluded for a mass of 400 GeV or 1000 GeV, respectively. These exclusion ranges increase to tan beta below 1.6 or 0.6 when both particles are considered.
