Abstract: We present a new, comprehensive global analysis of parton-to-pion fragmentation functions at next-to-leading-order accuracy in QCD. The obtained results are based on the latest experimental information on single-inclusive pion production in electron-positron annihilation, lepton-nucleon deep-inelastic scattering, and proton-proton collisions. An excellent description of all data sets is achieved, and the remaining uncertainties in parton-to-pion fragmentation functions are estimated based on the Hessian method. Extensive comparisons to the results from our previous global analysis are performed.

Abstract: By means of a partial wave decomposition, we separate their contributions to the equation of state (EoS) of symmetric nuclear matter for the N3LO pseudo-potential. In particular, we show that although both the tensor and the spin-orbit terms do not contribute to the EoS, they give a non-vanishing contribution to the separate (JLS) channels.

Abstract: The Ar-40 + Pb-208 multinucleon transfer reaction has been studied at E-lab = 255 MeV with the large solid angle magnetic spectrometer PRISMA. Mass and charge yields, differential and total cross sections, total kinetic energy loss distributions of different channels were simultaneously measured. Angular distributions were measured in a wide angular range by matching different spectrometer angular settings. Absolute cross sections were obtained by careful evaluation of the spectrometer response function. These cross sections for different transfer channels allow the discussion of the role played by nucleon-nucleon correlations.

Ruiz-Femenia, P., & Zahiri-Abyaneh, M. (2015). On the minimality of the order p(6) chiral Lagrangian. Phys. Lett. B, 751, 256–261.
Abstract: A method to find relations between the operators in the mesonic Lagrangian of Chiral Perturbation Theory at order p(6) is presented. The procedure can be used to establish if the basis of operators in the Lagrangian is minimal. As an example, we apply the method to the two-flavor case in the absence of scalar and pseudo-scalar sources (s = p = 0), and conclude that the minimal Lagrangian contains 27 independent operators.

Escrihuela, F. J., Forero, D. V., Miranda, O. G., Tortola, M., & Valle, J. W. F. (2015). On the description of nonunitary neutrino mixing. Phys. Rev. D, 92(5), 053009–16pp.
Abstract: Neutrino oscillations are well established and the relevant parameters determined with good precision, except for the CP phase, in terms of a unitary lepton mixing matrix. Seesaw extensions of the Standard Model predict unitarity deviations due to the admixture of heavy isosinglet neutrinos. We provide a complete description of the unitarity and universality deviations in the light-neutrino sector. Neutrino oscillation experiments involving electron or muon neutrinos and antineutrinos are fully described in terms of just three new real parameters and a new CP phase, in addition to the ones describing oscillations with unitary mixing. Using this formalism we describe the implications of nonunitarity for neutrino oscillations and summarize the model-independent constraints on heavy-neutrino couplings that arise from current experiments.
