| Abstract |
We present the results of a search for the rare flavor-changing neutral-current decays B -> pi l(+)l(-) (pi = pi(+), pi(0) and l = e, mu) and B-0 -> eta l(+)l(-) using a sample of e(+)e(-) -> Upsilon(4S) -> B (B) over bar decays corresponding to 428 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected by the BABAR detector. No significant signal is observed, and we set an upper limit on the isospin and lepton-flavor averaged branching fraction of B(B -> pi l(+)l(-)) < 5.9 x 10(-8) and a lepton-flavor averaged upper limit of B(B-0 -> eta l(+)l(-)) < 6.4 x 10(-8), both at the 90% confidence level. We also report 90% confidence level branching fraction upper limits for the individual modes B+ -> pi(+)e(+)e(-), B-0 -> pi(0)e(+)e(-), B-0 -> pi(+)mu(+)mu(-), B-0 -> pi(+)mu(+)mu(-), B-0 -> pi(0)mu(+)mu(-), B-0 -> eta e(+)e(-), and B-0 ->eta mu(+)mu(-). |

| Abstract |
A search for the flavor-changing neutral-current decay Lambda(+)(c) -> p mu(+)mu(-) is reported using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb Collaboration. No significant signal is observed outside of the dimuon mass regions around the phi and omega resonances, and an upper limit is placed on the branching fraction of B(Lambda(+ )(c)-> p mu(+)mu(-)) < 7.7(9.6) x 10(-8) at 90%(95%) confidence level. A significant signal is observed in the omega dimuon mass region for the first time. |

No significant signal of the decay is observed and an upper limit of 1.1 x 10(-7) at 90% confidence level is set on the branching fraction. |

A search for the rare leptonic decay B +. μ+ μ- μ+.mu is performed using proton- proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb – 1 collected by the LHCb experiment. The search is carried out in the region where the lowest of the two μ+ μ- mass combinations is below 980 MeV/ c2. The data are consistent with the background- only hypothesis and an upper limit of 1.6x10 – 8 at 95% confidence level is set on the branching fraction in the stated kinematic region. |

| Abstract |
We present a search for the rare decays B+ -> K+ v (v) over bar and B-0 -> K-0 v (v) over bar using 459 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Flavor-changing neutral-current decays such as these are forbidden at tree level but can occur through one-loop diagrams in the standard model (SM), with possible contributions from new physics at the same order. The presence of two neutrinos in the final state makes identification of signal events challenging, so reconstruction in the semileptonic decay channels B -> D-(*) lv of the B meson recoiling from the signal B is used to suppress backgrounds. We set an upper limit at the 90% confidence level (CL) of 1.3 x 10(-5) on the total branching fraction for B+ -> K+ v (v) over bar, and 5.6 x 10(-5) for B-0 -> K-0 v (v) over bar. We additionally report 90% CL upper limits on partial branching fractions in two ranges of dineutrino mass squared for B+ -> K+ v (v) over bar. |
