Dalitz plot analyses of J / psi -> pi(+) pi(-) pi(0), J / psi -> K+ K- pi(0), and J / psi -> (KsK +/-)-K-0 pi(-/+) produced via e (+) e (-) annihilation with initial-state radiation |

Abstract |
We study the processes e(+)e(-) -> gamma ISRJ (/) (psi), where J / psi pi(+)pi(-) pi(0), J / psi -> K+K-pi(0), and J / psi -> (KSK +/-)-K-0 pi(-/+) using a data sample of 519 fb(-1) recorded with the BABAR detector operating at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy e(+) e(-) collider at center-of-mass energies at and near the Y(nS) (n = 2, 3, 4) resonances. We measure the ratio of branching fractions R-1 = B(J / psi -> K+K-pi(0))/B(J / psi ->pi(+)pi(-)pi(0)) and R-2 = B(J / psi -> K-S(0) K-+/- p(-/+))/B(J / psi ->pi(+)pi(-)pi(0)). We perform Dalitz plot analyses of the three J / psi decay modes and measure fractions for resonances contributing to the decays. We also analyze the J /psi -> pi(+)pi(-)pi(0) decay using the Veneziano model. We observe structures compatible with the presence of rho(1450) in all three J / psi decay modes and measure the relative branching fraction: R(rho(1450)) = B(rho(1450)-> K+K-)/B(rho(1450)->pi(+)pi(-)) = 0.307 +/- 0.084(stat) +/- 0.082(sys). |

Abstract |
The resonant substructures of B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)pi(+)pi(-) decays are studied with the Dalitz plot technique. In this study a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) of pp collisions collected by the LHCb detector is used. The branching fraction of the B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)pi(+)pi(-) decay in the region m((D) over bar (0)pi(+/-)) > 2.1 GeV/c(2) is measured to be (8.46 +/- 0.14 +/- 0.29 +/- 0.40) x 10(-4), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic and the last arises from the normalization channel B-0 --> D*(2010)(-)pi(+). The pi(+)pi(-) S-wave components are modeled with the isobar and K-matrix formalisms. Results of the Dalitz plot analyses using both models are presented. A resonant structure at m((D) over bar (0)pi(-)) approximate to 2.8 GeV/c(2) is confirmed and its spin-parity is determined for the first time as J(P) = 3(-). The branching fraction, mass and width of this structure are determined together with those of the D-0*(2400)(-) and D-2*(2460)(-) resonances. The branching fractions of other B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)h(0) decay components with h(0) --> pi(+)pi(-) also reported. Many of these branching fraction measurements are the most precise to date. The first observation of the decays B0 --> (D) over bar (0)f(0)(500), B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)f(0)(980), B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)rho(1450), B-0 --> D-3(*)(2760)(-)pi(+) and the first evidence of B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)f(0)(2020) are presented. |

Abstract |

A structure at m((D) over bar K-0(-)) approximate to 2.86 GeV/c(2) is found to be an admixture of spin-1 and spin-3 resonances. The masses and widths of these states and of the D-s2*(2573)(-) meson are measured, as are the complex amplitudes and fit fractions for all the (D) over bar K-0(-) and K-pi(-) components included in the amplitude model. In addition, the D-s2*(2573)(-) resonance is confirmed to be spin 2. |

Abstract |
We perform a Dalitz plot analysis of about 100 000 D-s(+) decays to K+ K- pi(+) and measure the complex amplitudes of the intermediate resonances which contribute to this decay mode. We also measure the relative branching fractions of D-s(+) -> K+ K+ pi(-) and D-s(+) -> K+ K+ K-. For this analysis we use a 384 fb(-1) data sample, recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider running at center-of-mass energies near 10.58 GeV. |

We observe eta(c) -> K+K-pi(0) and eta(c) -> K+K-eta decays, measure their relative branching fraction, and perform a Dalitz plot analysis for each decay. We observe the K*(0)(1430) -> K eta decay and measure its branching fraction relative to the K pi decay mode to be R(K*(0)(1430)) = B(K*(0)(1430)-> K eta)/B(K*(0)(1430)-> K pi) = 0.092 +/- 0.025(- 0.025)(+0.010). The eta(c) -> K+K-eta and K*(0)(1430) -> K eta results correspond to the first observations of these channels. The data also show evidence for eta(c)(2S) -> K+K-pi(0) and first evidence for eta(c)(2S) -> K+K-eta. |
