Title (down) The Z(cs)(3985) as a threshold effect from the (D)over-bar(s)*D + (D)over-bar(s)D* interaction Type Journal Article

Abstract We study the e(+)e(-) -> K+(D-s*D--(0) + Ds-D*(0)) reaction recently measured at BESIII, from where a new Z(cs) state has been reported. We study the interaction of (D) over bar D-s* with the coupled channels J/psi K-, K*(-)eta(c), Ds-D*(0), D-s*D--(0) by means of an extension to the charm sector of the local hidden gauge approach. We find that the Ds-D*(0) + D-s*D--(0) combination couples to J/psi K- and K*(-)eta(c), but the Ds-D*(0 ) -D-s*D--(0) combination does not. The coupled channels help to build up strength in the Ds-D*(0) + D-s*D--(0) diagonal scattering matrix close to threshold and, although the interaction is not strong enough to produce a bound state or resonance, it is sufficient to produce a large accumulation of strength at the (D) over bar D-s* threshold in the e(+)e(-) -> K+(D-s*D--(0) + Ds-D*(0)) reaction in agreement with experiment.

Title (down) The X(4140) and X(4160) resonances in the e(+)e(-) -> gamma J/psi phi reaction Type Journal Article
Year 2019 Publication Chinese Physics C Abbreviated Journal Chin. Phys. C
  Volume 43 Issue 11 Pages 113101 - 10pp
Keywords X(4140); J/psi phi scattering; heavy flavor hadrons; X(4160)
Abstract We investigate the J/psi phi invariant mass distribution in the e(+)e(-) -> gamma J/psi phi reaction at a center-of-mass energy of root s = 4.6 GeV measured by the BESIII collaboration, which concluded that no significant signals were observed for e(+)e(-) -> gamma J/psi phi because of the low statistics. We show, however, that the J/psi phi invariant mass distribution is compatible with the existence of the X(4140) state, appearing as a peak, and a strong cusp structure at the D-s*(D) over bar (s)* threshold, resulting from the molecular nature of the X(4160) state, which provides a substantial contribution to the reaction. This is consistent with our previous analysis of the B+ -> J psi phi K+ decay measured by the LHCb collaboration. We strongly suggest further measurements of this process with more statistics to clarify the nature of the X(4140) and X(4160) resonances.

Title (down) The width of the omega meson in the nuclear medium Type Journal Article
Year 2013 Publication European Physical Journal A Abbreviated Journal Eur. Phys. J. A
  Volume 49 Issue 11 Pages 148 - 16pp

Abstract We evaluate the width of the omega meson in nuclear matter. We consider the free decay mode of the omega into three pions, which is dominated by rho IEuro decay, and replace the rho and pi propagators by their medium-modified ones. We also take into account the quasielastic and inelastic processes induced by a vector-baryon interaction dominated by vector meson exchange, as well as the contributions coming from the mechanism with medium-modified K , propagators. We obtain a substantial increase of the omega width in the medium, reaching a value of 121 +/- 10 MeV at normal nuclear matter density for an omega at rest, which comes mainly from omega N -> pi pi N, omega NN -> pi NN processes associated to the dominant omega -> rho IEuro decay mode. The value of the width increases moderately with momentum, reaching values of around 200MeV at 600MeV/c.

Title (down) The role of vector-baryon channels and resonances in the gamma p -> K-0 Sigma(+) and gamma n -> K-0 Sigma(0) reactions near the K*Lambda threshold Type Journal Article
Year 2013 Publication Physics Letters B Abbreviated Journal Phys. Lett. B
  Volume 727 Issue 1-3 Pages 287-292
  Keywords
Abstract We have studied the gamma p -> K-0 Sigma(+) reaction in the energy region around the K*Lambda and K*Sigma thresholds, where the CBELSA/TAPS cross section shows a sudden drop and the differential cross section experiences a transition from a forward-peaked distribution to a flat one. Our coupled-channel model incorporates the dynamics of the vector meson-baryon interaction which is obtained from the hidden gauge formalism. We find that the cross section in this energy region results from a delicate interference between amplitudes having K*Lambda and K*Sigma intermediate states. The sharp downfall is dictated by the presence of a nearby N* resonance produced by our model, a feature that we have employed to predict its properties. We also show results for the complementary gamma n -> K-0 Sigma(0) reaction, the measurement of which would test the mechanism proposed in this work.

Title (down) The role of f(0)(1710) in the phi omega threshold peak of J/Psi -> gamma phi omega Type Journal Article
Year 2013 Publication Physics Letters B Abbreviated Journal Phys. Lett. B
  Volume 719 Issue 4-5 Pages 388-393
  Keywords
Abstract We study the process J/Psi -> gamma phi omega, measured by the BES experiment, where a neat peak close to the phi omega threshold is observed and is associated to a scalar meson resonance around 1800 MeV. We make the observation that a scalar resonance coupling to phi omega unavoidably couples strongly to K (K) over bar, but no trace of a peak is seen in the K (K) over bar spectrum of the J/Psi -> gamma K (K) over bar at this energy. This serves us to rule out the interpretation of the observed peak as a signal of a new resonance. After this is done, a thorough study is performed on the production of a pair of vector mesons and how its interaction leads necessarily to a peak in the J/Psi -> gamma phi omega reaction close to the phi omega threshold, due to the dynamical generation of the f(0)(1710) resonance by the vector-vector interaction. We then show that both the shape obtained for the phi omega mass distribution, as well as the strength are naturally reproduced by this mechanism. The work also explains why the phi omega peak is observed in the BES experiment and not in other reactions, like B-+/- -> K-+/-phi omega of Belle.
