Abstract: The shape of the B-s(0) -> D-s*mu(+)nu(mu) differential decay rate is obtained as a function of the hadron recoil parameter using proton-proton collision data at a centreof-mass energy of 13TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb detector. The B-s(0) -> D-s*(-)mu(+)nu(mu) decay is reconstructed through the decays D-s*(-) up arrow D-s(-) gamma and D-s(-) -> K-K+pi(-). The differential decay rate is fitted with the CapriniLellouch-Neubert (CLN) and Boyd-Grinstein-Lebed (BGL) parametrisations of the form factors, and the relevant quantities for both are extracted.

Abstract: The cross section of a top-quark pair produced in association with a photon is measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of root s = 8 TeV with 20.2 fb(-1) of data collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider in 2012. The measurement is performed by selecting events that contain a photon with transverse momentum p(T) > 15 GeV, an isolated lepton with large transverse momentum, large missing transverse momentum, and at least four jets, where at least one is identified as originating from a b-quark. The production cross section is measured in a fiducial region close to the selection requirements. It is found to be 139 +/- 7 (stat.) +/- 17 (syst.) fb, in good agreement with the theoretical prediction at next-to-leading order of 151 +/- 24 fb. In addition, differential cross sections in the fiducial region are measured as a function of the transverse momentum and pseudorapidity of the photon.

Abstract: The t (t) over bar production cross-section dependence on jet multiplicity and jet transverse momentum is reported for proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV in the single-lepton channel. The data were collected with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider and comprise the full 2011 data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.6 fb(-1). Differential cross-sections are presented as a function of the jet multiplicity for up to eight jets using jet transverse momentum thresholds of 25, 40, 60, and 80 GeV, and as a function of jet transverse momentum up to the fifth jet. The results are shown after background subtraction and corrections for all known detector effects, within a kinematic range closely matched to the experimental acceptance. Several QCD-based Monte Carlo models are compared with the results. Sensitivity to the parton shower modelling is found at the higher jet multiplicities, at high transverse momentum of the leading jet and in the transverse momentum spectrum of the fifth leading jet. The MC@NLO+HERWIG MC is found to predict too few events at higher jet multiplicities.

Abstract: The inclusive top-quark pair ( t (t) over bar) production cross-section sigma(t (t) over bar) is measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy root s = 5.02TeV, using 257 pb(-1) of data collected in 2017 by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. The t (t) over bar cross-section is measured in both the dilepton and single-lepton final states of the t<overline> t system and then combined. The combination of the two measurements yields sigma(t (t) over bar) = 67.5 +/- 0.9 (stat.) +/- 2.3 (syst.) +/- 1.1 (lumi.) +/- 0.2 (beam) pb, where the four uncertainties reflect the limited size of the data sample, experimental and theoretical systematic effects, and imperfect knowledge of both the integrated luminosity and the LHC beam energy, giving a total uncertainty of 3.9%. The result is in agreement with theoretical quantum chromodynamic calculations at next-to-next-to-leading order in the strong coupling constant, including the resummation of next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic soft-gluon terms, and constrains the parton distribution functions of the proton at large Bjorken-x.

Abstract: A measurement of four-top-quark production using proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1) is presented. Events are selected if they contain a single lepton (electron or muon) or an opposite-sign lepton pair, in association with multiple jets. The events are categorised according to the number of jets and how likely these are to contain b-hadrons. A multivariate technique is then used to discriminate between signal and background events. The measured four-top-quark production cross section is found to be 26(-15)(+17) fb, with a corresponding observed (expected) significance of 1.9 (1.0) standard deviations over the background-only hypothesis. The result is combined with the previous measurement performed by the ATLAS Collaboration in the multilepton final state. The combined four-top-quark production cross section is measured to be 24(-6)(+7) fb, with a corresponding observed (expected) signal significance of 4.7 (2.6) standard deviations over the background-only predictions. It is consistent within 2.0 standard deviations with the Standard Model expectation of 12.0 +/- 2.4 fb.

Abstract: The production cross sections of top-quark pairs in association with massive vector bosons have been measured using data from pp collisions at root s = 8 TeV. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb(-1) collected by the ATLAS detector in 2012 at the LHC. Final states with two, three or four leptons are considered. A fit to the data considering the t (t) over barW and t (t) over barZ processes simultaneously yields a significance of 5.0 sigma (4.2 sigma) over the background-only hypothesis for t (t) over barW (t (t) over barZ) production. The measured cross sections are sigma(t (t) over barW) = 369(-91)(+100) fb and sigma(t (t) over barZ) = 176(-52)(+58) fb. The background-only hypothesis with neither t (t) over barW nor t (t) over barZ production is excluded at 7.1 sigma. All measurements are consistent with next-to-leading-order calculations for the t (t) over barW and t (t) over barZ processes.

Abstract: The first measurement of decay-time-dependent CP asymmetries in the decay B-S(0) -> J/psi K-S(0) and an updated measurement of the ratio of branching fractions B(B-S(0) -> J/psi K-S(0))/B(B-0 -> J/psi K-S(0)) are presented. The results are obtained using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions recorded with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The results on the CP asymmetries are A(Delta Gamma)(B-S(0) -> J/psi K-S(0)) = 0.49 +/- (0.77)(0.65)(stat) +/- 0.06(syst), C-dir(B-S(0) -> J/psi K-S(0)) = -0.28 +/- 0.41(stat) +/- 0.08(syst), S-mix(B-S(0) -> J/psi K-S(0)) = -0.08 +/- 0.40(stat) +/- 0.08(syst). The ratio B(B-S(0) -> J/psi K-S(0))/B(B-0 -> J/psi K-S(0)) is measured to be 0.0431 +/- 0.0017(stat) +/- 0.0012(syst) +/- 0.0025(f(s)/f(d)), where the last uncertainty is due to the knowledge of the B-S(0) and B-0 production fractions.

Abstract: A measurement of the time-integrated CP asymmetry in D (0) -> K (S) (0) K (S) (0) decays is reported. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of about 2 fb(-1) collected in 2015-2016 by the LHCb collaboration in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The D (0) candidate is required to originate from a D (*+) -> D (0) pi (+) decay, allowing the determination of the flavour of the D (0) meson using the pion charge. The D (0) -> K (+) K (-) decay, which has a well measured CP asymmetry, is used as a calibration channel. The CP asymmetryfor D (0) -> K (S) (0) K (S) (0) is measured to be where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This result is combined with the previous LHCb measurement at lower centre-of-mass energies to obtain A(CP) (D-0 -> K-S(0) K-S(0)) = (2.3 +/- 2.8 +/- 0.9)%.

Abstract: The time-integrated CP asymmetry in the decay D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 is measured using 3 fb(-1) of proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centreof- mass energies of 7 and 8TeV. The flavour of the D-0 meson is determined by use of the decay D*(+) -> D-0 pi(+) and its charge conjugate mode. The result is A(CP) = -0.029 +/- 0.052 +/- 0.022, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The result is consistent with Standard Model expectations and improves the uncertainty with respect to the only previous measurement of this quantity by more than a factor of three.

Abstract: A measurement of the top quark electric charge is carried out in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider using 2.05 fb(-1) of data at a centre-of-mass energy of 7TeV. In units of the elementary electric charge, the top quark charge is determined to be 0.64 +/- 0.02 (stat.) +/- 0.08 (syst.) from the charges of the top quark decay products in single lepton t (t) over bar candidate events. This excludes models that propose a heavy quark of electric charge -4/3, instead of the Standard Model top quark, with a significance of more than 8 sigma.
