Abstract: We use a O(alpha(s). Lambda(QCD)/m(c)) heavy quark effective theory scheme, where only O(Lambda(QCD)/mb) corrections are neglected, to study the matrix elements of the scalar, pseudoscalar, vector, axial-vector and tensor currents between the Lambda(b) ground state and the odd parity charm Lambda(c)(2595)(+) and Lambda(c)(2625)(+) resonances. We show that in the near-zero recoil regime, the scheme describes reasonably well, taking into account uncertainties, the results for the 24 form factors obtained in lattice QCD (LQCD) just in terms of only four Isgur-Wise (IW) functions. We also find some support for the possibility that the Lambda(c)(2595)(+) and Lambda(c)(2625)(+) resonances might form a heavy quark spin symmetry (HQSS) doublet. However, we argue that the available LQCD description of these two resonances is not accurate enough to disentangle the possible effects of the Sigma(c)pi and Sigma(c)*pi thresholds, located only a few MeV above their position, and that it cannot be ruled out that these states are not HQSS partners. Finally, we study the ratio d Gamma/[Lambda(b) -> Lambda(c,1/2)-*l (v) over bar (l)]/dq(2)/d Gamma/[Lambda(b) -> Lambda(c,3/2)-*l (v) over bar (l)]/dq(2) of the Standard Model differential semileptonic decay widths, with q the four-momentum transferred between the initial and final hadrons. We provide a natural explanation for the existence of large deviations, near the zero recoil, of this ratio from 1=2 (value predicted in the infinite heavy quark mass limit, assuming that the Lambda(c,1/2)- and Lambda(c,3/2)- are the two members of a HQSS doublet) based on S-wave contributions to the Lambda(b) -> Lambda(c,1/2)- decay amplitude driven by a subleading IW function.

Abstract: The beta-delayed one- and two-neutron emission probabilities (P-1n and P-2n) of 20 neutron-rich nuclei with N >= 82 have been measured at the RIBF facility of the RIKEN Nishina Center. P-1n of Ag-130;131, Cd-133;134, In-135;136, and (138;13)9Sn were determined for the first time, and stringent upper limits were placed on P-2n for nearly all cases. beta-delayed two-neutron emission (beta 2n) was unambiguously identified in Cd-133 and In-135;136, and their P-2n were measured. Weak beta 2n was also detected from Sn-137;138. Our results highlight the effect of the N = 82 and Z = 50 shell closures on beta-delayed neutron emission probability and provide stringent benchmarks for newly developed macroscopic-microscopic and self-consistent global models with the inclusion of a statistical treatment of neutron and. emission. Abstract: We perform a theoretical study of the D-s(+) ->pi(+)pi(+)pi(-)eta decay. We look first at the basic D-s(+) decay at the quark level from external and internal emission. Then we hadronize a pair or two pairs of q (q) over bar states to have mesons at the end. Posteriorly the pairs of mesons are allowed to undergo final state interaction, by means of which the a(0)(980), f(0)(980), a(1)(1260), and b(1)(1235) resonances are dynamically generated. The G parity is used as a filter of the possible channels, and from those with negative G parity only the ones that can lead to pi(+)pi(+)pi(-)eta at the final state are kept. Using transition amplitudes from the chiral unitary approach that generates these resonances and a few free parameters, we obtain a fair reproduction of the six mass distributions reported in the BESIII experiment.

Abstract: The mass spectrum of pi(+) and rho(+) mesons in the presence of a static uniform magnetic field (B) over right arrow is studied within a two-flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio-like model. We improve previous calculations, taking into account the effect of Schwinger phases carried by quark propagators and using an expansion of meson fields in terms of the solutions of the corresponding equations of motion for nonzero B. It is shown that the meson polarization functions are diagonal in this basis. Our numerical results for the rho(+) meson spectrum are found to disfavor the existence of a meson condensate induced by the magnetic field. In the case of the pi(+) meson, pi-rho mixing effects are analyzed for the meson lowest-energy state. The predictions of the model are compared with available lattice QCD results.

Abstract: We measured multinucleon transfer reactions for the 206Pb + 118Sn system at Elab = 1200 MeV by employing the large solid angle magnetic spectrometer PRISMA. Differential and total cross sections and Q-value distri-butions have been obtained for a variety of neutron and proton pick-up and stripping channels. The Q-value distributions show how the quasielastic and deep inelastic processes depend on the mass and charge of the transfer products. The corresponding cross sections have been compared with calculations performed with the GRAZING code. An overall good agreement is found for most of the few nucleon transfer channels. The underestimation of the data for channels involving a large number of transferred nucleons indicates that more complicated processes populate the given isotopes.

Abstract: Background: The Xe isotopic chain with four valence protons above the Z = 50 shell closure is an ideal laboratory for the study of the evolution of nuclear deformation. At the N = 82 shell closure, 136Xe presents all characteristics of a doubly closed shell nucleus with a spherical shape. In the very neutron-deficient isotopes close to N = 50, the alpha-decay chain of Xe was investigated to probe the radioactive decay properties near the drip-line and the magicity of 100Sn. Additionally, the Xe isotopes present higher order symmetries in the nuclear deformation such as the octupole degree of freedom near N = 60 and N = 90 or O(6) symmetry in stable isotopes.Purpose: The relevance of the O(6) symmetry has been investigated by measuring the spectroscopic quadrupole moment of the first excited states in 124Xe. In the O(6) symmetry limit, the spectroscopic quadrupole moment of collective states is expected to be null.Method: A stable 124Xe beam with energies of 4.03A MeV and 4.11A MeV was used to bombard a natW target at the GANIL facility. Excited states were populated via the safe Coulomb excitation reaction. The collision of the heavy ions with a large Z at low energy make this reaction sensitive to the diagonal E2 matrix element of the excited states. The recoils were detected in the VAMOS++ magnetic spectrometer and the gamma rays in the AGATA tracking array. The least squares fitting code GOSIA was used for the analysis to extract both E2 and M1 transitional and E2 diagonal matrix elements.Results: The rotational ground state band was populated up to the 8+1 state as well as the 2+2 and 4+2 states. Using high precision spectroscopic data to constrain the GOSIA fit, the spectroscopic quadrupole moments of the 2+1 , 4+1 , and 6+1 states were determined for the first time. Conclusions: The spectroscopic quadrupole moments were found to be negative, large, and constant in the ground state band underlining the prolate axially deformed ground state band of 124Xe. The present experimental data confirm that the is broken in 124Xe.

Abstract: The European Spallation Source (ESS), currently under construction in Sweden, will provide an intense pulsed neutrino flux allowing for high-statistics measurements of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) with advanced nuclear recoil detectors. In this paper, we investigate in detail the possibility of constraining nonstandard neutrino interactions (NSIs) through such precision CEvNS measurements at the ESS, considering the different proposed detection technologies, either alone or in combination. We first study the sensitivity to neutral-current NSI parameters that each detector can reach in 3 years of data taking. We then show that operating two detectors simultaneously can significantly improve the expected sensitivity on flavor-diagonal NSI parameters. Combining the results of two detectors turns out to be even more useful when two NSI parameters are assumed to be nonvanishing at a time. In this case, suitably chosen detector combinations can reduce the degeneracies between some pairs of NSI parameters to a small region of the parameter space.

Abstract: We study the phenomenology of a particular leptoquark extension of the Standard Model (SM), namely the doublet-singlet scalar leptoquark extension of the SM (DSL-SM). Besides generating Majorana mass for neutrinos, these leptoquarks contribute to muon and electron (g – 2) and various lepton flavor violating processes. Collider signatures of the benchmark points (BPs), consistent with the neutrino oscillation data, anomalous muon/electron magnetic moments, experimental bounds on the charged lepton flavor violation observables, etc., are studied at the LHC/FCC with center-of-mass energies of 14, 27 and 100 TeV. While the two -1=3 charged colored scalars from the singlet and the doublet leptoquark mix with each other, the charge 2=3 colored scalar from the doublet leptoquark remains pure. With a near-degenerate mass spectrum, the pure and mixed leptoquark states are shown to be distinguishable from multiple final states, while discerning between the two mixed states remains very challenging.

Abstract: We study the interaction of two D* and a over bar K* by using the fixed center approximation to the Faddeev equations to search for bound states of the three-body system. Since the D*D* interaction is attractive and gives a bound state, and so is the case of the D* over bar K* interaction, where the JP = 0+ bound state is identified with the X0(2900), the D*D* over bar K* system leads to manifestly exotic bound states with ccs open quarks. We obtain bound states of isospin I = 1=2, negative parity and total spin J = 0, 1, 2. For J = 0 we obtain one state, and for J = 1, 2 we obtain two states in each case. The binding energies range from 56 to 152 MeV and the widths from 80 to 100 MeV.
