HADES Collaboration(Agakishiev, G. et al), Diaz, J., & Gil, A. (2015). Study of the quasi-free np -> np pi(+)pi(-) reaction with a deuterium beam at 1.25 GeV/nucleon. Phys. Lett. B, 750, 184–193.
Abstract: The tagged quasi-free np -> np pi(+)pi(-) reaction has been studied experimentally with the High Acceptance Di-Electron Spectrometer (HADES) at GSI at a deuteron incident beam energy of 1.25 GeV/nucleon (root S similar to 2.42 GeV/c for the quasi-free collision). For the first time, differential distributions of solid statistics for pi(+)pi(-) production in np collisions have been collected in the region corresponding to the large transverse momenta of the secondary particles. The invariant mass and angular distributions for the np -> np pi(+)pi(-) reaction are compared with different models. This comparison confirms the dominance of the t-channel with Delta Delta contribution. It also validates the changes previously introduced in the Valencia model to describe two-pion production data in other isospin channels, although some deviations are observed, especially for the pi(+)pi(-) invariant mass spectrum. The extracted total cross section is also in much better agreement with this model. Our new measurement puts useful constraints for the existence of the conjectured dibaryon resonance at mass M similar to 2.38 GeV and with width Gamma similar to 70 MeV. (C) 2015 The Authors. Lutz, M. F. M. et al, & Nieves, J. (2016). Resonances in QCD. Nucl. Phys. A, 948, 93–105.
Abstract: We report on the EMMI Rapid Reaction Task Force meeting 'Resonances in QCD', which took place at GSI October 12-14,2015. A group of 26 people met to discuss the physics of resonances in QCD. The aim of the meeting was defined by the following three key questions: What is needed to understand the physics of resonances in QCD? Where does QCD lead us to expect resonances with exotic quantum numbers? What experimental efforts are required to arrive at a coherent picture? For light mesons and baryons only those with up, down and strange quark content were considered. For heavy-light and heavy-heavy meson systems, those with charm quarks were the focus. This document summarizes the discussions by the participants, which in turn led to the coherent conclusions we present here.

Kamiya, Y., Miyahara, K., Ohnishi, S., Ikeda, Y., Hyodo, T., Oset, E., et al. (2016). Antikaon-nucleon interaction and Lambda(1405) in chiral SU(3) dynamics. Nucl. Phys. A, 954, 41–57.
Abstract: The properties of the Lambda(1405) resonance are key ingredients for determining the antikaon-nucleon interaction in strangeness nuclear physics, and the novel internal structure of the Lambda(1405) is of great interest in hadron physics, as a prototype case of a baryon that does not fit into the simple three-quark picture. We show that a quantitative description of the antikaon-nucleon interaction with the Lambda(1405) is achieved in the framework of chiral SU(3) dynamics, with the help of recent experimental progress. Further constraints on the (K) over barN subthreshold interaction are provided by analyzing pi Sigma spectra in various processes, such as the K(-)d -> pi Sigma n reaction and the Lambda(c) -> pi pi Sigma decay. The structure of the Lambda(1405) is found to be dominated by an antikaon-nucleon molecular configuration, based on its wavefunction derived from a realistic (K) over barN potential and the compositeness criteria from a model-independent weak-binding relation.

Abstract: We perform calculations for the eta(c) -> eta pi(+)pi(-) decay using elements of SU(3) symmetry to see the weight of different trios of pseudoscalars produced in this decay, prior to the final state interaction of the mesons. After that, the interaction of pairs of mesons, leading finally to eta pi(+)pi(-), is done using the chiral unitary approach. We evaluate the pi(+)pi(-) and pi eta mass distributions and find large and clear signals for f(0)(500), f(0)(980) and a(0)(980) excitation. The reaction is similar to the chi(c1) -> eta pi(+)pi(-), which has been recently measured at BESIII and its implementation and comparison with these predictions will be very valuable to shed light on the nature of the low mass scalar mesons.

Wang, Y. F., Yao, D. L., & Zheng, H. Q. (2019). On the existence of N*(890) resonance in S-11 channel of N scatterings. Front. Phys., 14(2), 24501–6pp.
Abstract: Low-energy partial-wave N scattering data is reexamined with the help of the production representation of partial-wave S matrix, where branch cuts and poles are thoroughly under consideration. The left-hand cut contribution to the phase shift is determined, with controlled systematic error estimates, by using the results of O(p(3)) chiral perturbative amplitudes obtained in the extended-onmass- shell scheme. In S-11 and P-11 channels, severe discrepancies are observed between the phase shift data and the sum of all known contributions. Statistically satisfactory fits to the data can only be achieved by adding extra poles in the two channels. We find that a S-11 resonance pole locates at zr = (0:895-0:081)-(0:164-0:023)i GeV, on the complex s-plane. On the other hand, a P-11 virtual pole, as an accompanying partner of the nucleon bound-state pole, locates atzv = (0:966-0:018) GeV, slightly above the nucleon pole on the real axis below threshold. Physical origin of the two newly established poles is explored to the best of our knowledge. It is emphasized that the O(p(3)) calculation greatly improves the fit quality comparing with the previous O(p(2)) one.
