Abstract: We study the D+ -> pi(+) eta eta and D+ -> pi(+)pi(0) eta reactions, which are single Cabibbo suppressed and can proceed both through internal and external emission. The primary mechanisms at quark level are considered, followed by hadronization to produce three mesons in the D+ decay, and after that the final state interaction of these mesons leads to the production of the a(0)(980) resonance, seen in the pi(+)eta, pi(0)eta mass distributions. The theory has three unknown parameters to determine the shape of the distributions and the ratio between the D+ -> pi(+) eta eta and D+ -> pi(+)pi(0) eta rates. This ratio restricts much the sets of parameters but there is still much freedom leading to different shapes in the mass distributions. We call for a measurement of these mass distributions that will settle the reaction mechanism, while at the same time provide relevant information on the way that the a(0)(980) resonance is produced in the reactions.

Abstract: We evaluate theoretically the interaction of the open bottom and strange systems (B) over bar (K) over bar, (B) over bar * (K) over bar, (B) over bar (K) over bar * and (B) over bar* (K) over bar* to look for possible bound states which could correspond to exotic non-quark-antiquark mesons since they would contain at least one b and one s quarks. The s-wave scattering matrix is evaluated implementing unitarity by means of the Bethe-Salpeter equation, with the potential kernels obtained from contact and vector meson exchange mechanisms. The vertices needed are supplied from Lagrangians derived from suitable extensions of the hidden gauge symmetry approach to the bottom sector. We find poles below the respective thresholds for isospin 0 interaction and evaluate the widths of the different obtained states by including the main sources of imaginary part, which are the B *-> B gamma decay in the (B) over bar * (K) over bar channels, the K *-> K pi in the channels involving a K *, plus the box diagrams with (B) over bar (K) over bar and (B) over bar * (K) over bar intermediate states for the (B) over bar * (K) over bar * channels.

Abstract: We study for the first time the p Sigma(-) -> K- d and K- d -> p Sigma(-) reactions close to threshold and show that they are driven by a triangle mechanism, with the Lambda(1405), a proton and a neutron as intermediate states, which develops a triangle singularity close to the (K) over bard threshold. We find that a mechanism involving virtual pion exchange and the K- p -> pi(+)Sigma(-) amplitude dominates over another one involving kaon exchange and the K- p -> K- p amplitude. Moreover, of the two Lambda(1405) states, the one with higher mass around 1420 MeV, gives the largest contribution to the process. We show that the cross section, well within measurable range, is very sensitive to different models that, while reproducing (K) over barN observables above threshold, provide different extrapolations of the (K) over barN amplitudes below threshold. The observables of this reaction will provide new constraints on the theoretical models, leading to more reliable extrapolations of the (K) over barN amplitudes below threshold and to more accurate predictions of the Lambda(1405) state of lower mass.

Abstract: In this work we investigate the possibility of the formation of states from the dynamics involved in the D* D* D* system by considering that two D*'s generate a JP = 1+ bound state, with isospin 0, which has been predicted in an earlier theoretical work. We solve the Faddeev equations for this system within the fixed center approximation and find the existence of J(P) = 0(-), 1(-) and 2(-) states with charm 3, isospin 1/2, masses similar to 6000 MeV, which are manifestly exotic hadrons, i.e., with a multiquark inner structure.

Abstract: We study the J/Psi ->phi K+ K- decay, looking for differences in the production rates of K+K- or K-0 K-(0) in the region of 1700-1800 MeV, where two resonances appear dynamically generated from the vector-vector interaction. Two resonances are known experimentally in that region, the f(0)(1710) and a new resonance reported by the BABAR and BESIII collaborations. The K K should be produced with I = 0 in that reaction, but due to the different K*(0) and K*(+) masses some isospin violation appears. Yet, due to the large width of the K*, the violation obtained is very small and the rates of K+K- or K-0 K-0 production are equal within 5%. However, we also find that due to the step needed to convert two vectors into K K, a shape can appear in the K K mass distribution that can mimic the a0 production around the K* K* threshold, and is simply a threshold effect.
