Abstract: We explore the potential of current and next generation of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CE nu NS) experiments in probing neutrino electromagnetic interactions. On the basis of a thorough statistical analysis, we determine the sensitivities on each component of the Majorana neutrino transition magnetic moment (TMM), vertical bar Lambda(i)vertical bar, that follow from low-energy neutrino-nucleus experiments. We derive the sensitivity to neutrino TMM from the first CE nu NS measurement by the COHERENT experiment, at the Spallation Neutron Source. We also present results for the next phases of COHERENT using HPGe, LAr and NaI[Tl] detectors and for reactor neutrino experiments such as CONUS, CONNIE, MINER, TEXONO and RED100. The role of the CP violating phases in each case is also briefly discussed. We conclude that future CE nu NS experiments with low-threshold capabilities can improve current TMM limits obtained from Borexino data.

Abstract: Measurements of CP observables in B-0 -> DK0 decays are presented, where D represents a superposition of D-0 and D0 states. The D meson is reconstructed in the two-body final states K+pi(-), pi K-+(-), K+K- and pi(+)pi(-), and, for the first time, in the fourbody final states K+pi(-)pi(+)pi(-), pi K-+(-)pi(+)pi(-) and pi(+)pi(-)pi(+)pi(-). The analysis uses a sample of neutral B mesons produced in proton-proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0, 2.0 and 1.8 fb(-1) collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of ,8 and 13 TeV, respectively. First observations of the decays B-0 -> D(pi K-+(-))K-0 and B-0 -> D(pi(+)pi(-)pi(+)pi(-))K-0 are obtained. The measured observables are interpreted in terms of the CP -violating weak phase gamma.

Abstract: The presence of new neutrino-quark interactions can enhance, deplete or distort the coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) event rate. The new interactions may involve CP violating phases that can potentially affect these features. Assuming light vector mediators, we study the effects of CP violation on the CEvNS process in the COHERENT sodium-iodine, liquid argon and germanium detectors. We identify a region in parameter space for which the event rate always involves a dip and another one for which this is never the case. We show that the presence of a dip in the event rate spectrum can be used to constraint CP violating effects, in such a way that the larger the detector volume the tighter the constraints. Furthermore, it allows the reconstruction of the effective coupling responsible for the signal with an uncertainty determined by recoil energy resolution. In the region where no dip is present, we find that CP violating parameters can mimic the Standard Model CEvNS prediction or spectra induced by real parameters. We point out that the interpretation of CEvNS data in terms of a light vector mediator should take into account possible CP violating effects. Finally, we stress that our results are qualitatively applicable for CEvNS induced by solar or reactor neutrinos. Thus, the CP violating effects discussed here and their consequences should be taken into account as well in the analysis of data from multi-ton dark matter detectors or experiments such as CONUS, nu-cleus or CONNIE.

Abstract: The known isospin-breaking contributions to the K -> pi pi amplitudes are reanalyzed, taking into account our current understanding of the quark masses and the relevant non-perturbative inputs. We present a complete numerical reappraisal of the direct CP-violating ratio is an element of(')/is an element of, where these corrections play a quite significant role. We obtain the Standard Model prediction Re (is an element of(')/is an element of) = (14 +/- 5) <bold> </bold>10(-4), which is in very good agreement with the measured ratio. The uncertainty, which has been estimated conservatively, is dominated by our current ignorance about 1/N-C-suppressed contributions to some relevant chiral-perturbation-theory low-energy constants.

Abstract: The decay-time-dependent CP asymmetry in B-0 -> (DD -/+)-D-*+/- decays is mea- sured using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) recorded by the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV. The CP parameters are measured asSD*D=-0.861 +/- 0.077 +/- 0.019,Delta SD*D=0.019 +/- 0.075 +/- 0.012,CD*D=-0.059 +/- 0.092 +/- 0.020,Delta CD*D=-0.031 +/- 0.092 +/- 0.016,AD*D=0.008 +/- 0.014 +/- 0.006. The analysis provides the most precise single measurement of CP violation in this decay channel to date. All parameters are consistent with their current world average values.

These measurements are the most precise to date, and provide important input for the determination of the CKM angle gamma.

Abstract: We consider an extension of the Standard Model with two singlet leptons, with masses in the electroweak range, that induce neutrino masses via the see-saw mechanism, plus a generic new physics sector at a higher scale, A. We apply the minimal flavor violation (MFV) principle to the corresponding Effective Field Theory (nu SMEFT) valid at energy scales E << A. We identify the irreducible sources of lepton flavor and lepton number violation at the renormalizable level, and apply the MFV ansatz to derive the scaling of the Wilson coefficients of the nu SMEFT operators up to dimension six. We highlight the most important phenomenological consequences of this hypothesis in the rates for exotic Higgs decays, the decay length of the heavy neutrinos, and their production modes at present and future colliders. We also comment on possible astrophysical implications.

Abstract: Even though it is undoubtedly very appealing to interpret the latest T2K results as evidence of CP violation, this claim assumes CPT conservation in the neutrino sector to an extent that has not been tested yet. As we will show, T2K results are not robust against a CPT-violating explanation. On the contrary, a CPT-violating CP-conserving scenario is in perfect agreement with current neutrino oscillation data. Therefore, to elucidate whether T2K results imply CP or CPT violation is of utter importance. We show that, even after combining with data from NO nu A and from reactor experiments, no claims about CP violation can be made. Finally, we update the bounds on CPT violation in the neutrino sector.

Abstract: A measurement of CP-violating observables is performed using the decays B-+/- -> DK +/- and B-+/- -> D pi(+/-), where the D meson is reconstructed in one of the self-conjugate three-body final states K-S(0)pi(+)pi(-) and (KSK+K-)-K-0 (commonly denoted K(S)(0)h(+)h(-)). The decays are analysed in bins of the D-decay phase space, leading to a measurement that is independent of the modelling of the D-decay amplitude. The observables are inter- preted in terms of the CKM angle gamma. Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) collected in proton-proton collisions at centre-of mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV with the LHCb experiment, gamma is measured to be (68.7(-5.1)(+5.2))degrees. The hadronic parameters r(B)(DK), r(B)(D pi), delta(DK)(B), and delta(D pi)(B), which are the ratios and strong-phase differences of the suppressed and favoured B-+/- decays, are also reported.

Abstract: The time-dependent CP asymmetries of B-0 -> pi(+)pi(-) and B-s(0) -> K+K- decays are measured using a data sample of pp collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.9 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV. The results are C-pi pi = 0.311 +/- 0.045 +/- 0.015; S-pi pi = 0.706 +/- 0.042 +/- 0.013; C-KK = 0.164 +/- 0.034 +/- 0.014; S-KK = 0.123 +/- 0.034 +/- 0.015; A(KK)(Delta Gamma) = -0.83 +/- 0.05 +/- 0.09; where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The same data sample is used to measure the time-integrated CP asymmetries of B-0 -> K + pi(-) and B-s(0) -> K-pi(+) decays and the results are AB(CP)(B0) = -0.0824 +/- 0.0033 +/- 0.0033; A(CP)(Bs0) = 0.236 +/- 0.013 +/- 0.011. All results are consistent with earlier measurements. A combination of LHCb measurements provides the first observation of time-dependent CP violation in B-s(0) decays.
