Abstract: The ratio of branching fractions R-K/pi = B (B-c(+) -> J/psi K+)/B(B-c(+) -> J/psi pi(+)) is measured with pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7TeV and 8TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). It is found to be R-K/pi = 0.079 +/- 0.007 +/- 0.003, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This measurement is consistent with the previous LHCb result, while the uncertainties are significantly reduced.

Abstract: The first observation of the B-s(0) -> D*+ D*- decay and the measurement of its branching ratio relative to the B-0 -> D*+ D*(-) decay are presented. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions recorded by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV between 2011 and 2018. The decay is observed with more than 10 standard deviations and the time-integrated ratio of branching fractions is determined to be [GRAPHICS] . where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third due to the uncertainty of the fragmentation fraction ratio f(s)/f(d). The B-s(0) -> D*(+) D*(-) branching fraction is calculated to be [GRAPHICS] . where the fourth uncertainty is due to the B-0 -> D*(+) D*(-) branching fraction. These results are calculated using the average B-s(0) meson lifetime in simulation. Correction factors are reported for scenarios where either a purely heavy or a purely light B-s(0) eigenstate is considered.

Observations of Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda K+pi(-) and Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda K+K- decays and searches for other Lambda(0)(b) and Xi(0)(b) decays to Lambda h(+)h '(-) final states. J. High Energy Phys., 05(5), 081–22pp.
Abstract: A search is performed for the charmless three-body decays of the Lambda(0)(b) and Xi(0)(b) baryons to the final states Lambda h(+)h'(-), where h(') = pi or K. The analysis is based on a data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb-1 of pp collisions, collected by the LHCb experiment. The Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda K+pi(-) and Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda K+K- decays are observed for the first time and their branching fractions and CP asymmetry parameters are measured. Evidence is seen for the Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda pi(+)pi(-) decay and limits are set on the branching fractions of Xi(0)(b) baryon decays to the Lambda h(+)h(-) final states.

Abstract: A search for the Xi(++)(cc) baryon through the Xi(++)(cc) -> D(+)pK(-)pi(+) decay is performed with a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb(-1) recorded by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. No significant signal is observed in the mass range from the kinematic threshold of the decay to 3800 MeV/c(2). An upper limit is set on the ratio of branching fractions R = B(Xi(++)(cc) -> D(+)pK(-)pi(+))/B(Xi(++)(cc) -> A(c)(+) K- pi(+)pi(+)) with R < 1.7 (2.1) x 10(-2) at the 90% (95%) confidence level at the known mass of the Xi(++)(cc) state.

Abstract: The ratios of the branching fractions of the decays do Lambda(+)(c) -> , p pi(-)pi(+), Lambda(+->)(c) pK(-)K(+), and Lambda(+)(c) -> p pi K--(+) with respect to the Cabibbo-favoured Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+) decay are measured using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb experiment at a 7 TeV centre-of-mass energy and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1): B(Lambda(+)(c) -> p pi(-)pi(+))/B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+)) = (7.44 +/- 0.08 +/- 0.18)%. B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)K(+))/B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+) = (1.70 +/- 0.03 +/- 0.03)%, B(Lambda(+)(c) -> p pi(-)pi K-+(+))/B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+) = (0.165 +/- 0.015 +/- 0.005)%, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. These results are the most precise measurements of these quantities to date. Abstract: The branching fractions of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D+ ! K, D+ ! and D+ s ! are measured using the decays D+ ! K and D+ s ! K as normalisation channels. The measurements are performed using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 8TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0 fb. Abstract: The first observation of the B-s(0) -> D-s*(-/+) K-+/- decay is reported using 3.0 fb(-1) of proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment. The D-s*(-/+) mesons are reconstructed through the decay chain D-s*(-/+) -> gamma D-s(-/+) ((KK +/-)-K--/+pi(-/+)). The branching fraction relative to that for B-s(0) -> D-s*(-)pi(+) decays is measured to be B (B-s(0) -> D-s*K--/+(+/-))/B(B-s(0) -> D-s*(-)pi(+)) = 0.068 +/- 0.005(-0.002)(+0.003), where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Using a recent measurement of B(B-s(0) -> D-s*(-)pi(+)), the absolute branching fraction of B-s(0) -> Ds*K--/+(+/-) is measured as B(B-s(0) -> D*K--/+(+/-)) = (16.3 +/- 1.2(stat)(-0.5)(+0.7)(syst) +/- 4.8(norm)) x 10(-5), where the third uncertainty is due to the uncertainty on the branching fraction of the normalisation channel.

Abstract: The first observation of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi p pi(-) is reported using a data sample of proton-proton collisions at 7 and 8TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). A prominent signal is observed and the branching fraction relative to the decay mode Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi pK(-) is determined to be B(Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi p pi(-))/ B(Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi pK(-)) = 0.0824 +/- 0.0025 (stat) +/- 0.0042 (syst). A search for direct CP violation is performed. The difference in the CP asymmetries between these two decays is found to be ACP(Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi p pi(-))/ A(CP)(Lambda(0)(b) -> J / psi pK(-)) = (+5.7 +/- 2.4 (stat) +/- 1.2 (syst))%, which is compatible with CP symmetry at the 2.2 sigma level.

Abstract: A search for the decay B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) is performed using proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). No evidence for the B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) decay is found and an upper limit on the branching fraction, excluding the 0 and charmonium regions in the dimuon spectrum, of 4.4 x 10(-3) at a 90% credibility level, relative to that of the B-s(0) -> phi mu(+) mu(-) decay, is established. Using the measured B-s(0) -> phi mu(+) mu(-) branching fraction and assuming a phase-space model, the absolute branching fraction of the decay B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) in the full q(2) range is determined to be less than 3.2 x 10(-9) at a 90% credibility level.
