Abstract: The cross-section for inelastic proton-proton collisions, with at least one prompt long-lived charged particle of transverse momentum P-T > 0.2GeV/c in the pseudorapidity range 2.0 < eta < 4.5, is measured by the 1:11Cb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of root s = 7 TeV. The cross-section in this kinematic range is determined to be sigma(accc)(inel) = 55.0 +/- 2.4 nib with an experimental uncertainty that is dominated by systematic contributions. Extrapolation to the full phase space, using PYTHIA 6, yields sigma(inel) = 66.9 +/- 2.9 +/- 4.4 nib, where the first uncertainty is experimental and the second is due to the extrapolation.

Abstract: A search is performed for D-sJ(()*()+) mesons in the reactions pp -> D*(+KSX)-X-0 and pp -> D*(K+X)-K-0 using data collected at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV with the LHCb detector. For the D*K-+(S)0 final state, the decays D*(+) -> D-0 pi(+) with D-0 -> K-pi(+) and D-0 -> K-pi(+)pi(+)pi(-) are used. For D*K-0(+), the decay D*(0) -> D-0 pi(0) with D-0 -> K-pi(+) is used. A prominent D-s1(2536)(+) signal is observed in both D*K-+(S)0 and D*K-0(+) final states. The resonances D*(s1)(2700)(+) and D*(s3)(2860)(+) are also observed, yielding information on their properties, including spin-parity assignments. The decay D*(s2)(2573)(+) -> D*(+) K-S(0) is observed for the first time, at a significance of 6.9 sigma, and its branching fraction relative to the D*(s2)(2573)(+) -> (D+KS0) decay mode is measured.

Abstract: Measurements are presented of the branching fractions of the decays B-s(0) -> D-s(-/+) K--/+ and B-0 -> Ds-K+ relative to the decays B-s(0) -> D-s(-)pi(+) and B-0 -> D-s(-)pi(+), respectively. The data used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions. The ratios of branching fractions are B(B-s(0) -> D-s(-/+) K--/+)/B(B-s(0) -> D-s(-)pi(+)) = 0.0752 +/- 0.0015 +/- 0.0019 and B(B-0 -> Ds-K+)/B(B-0 -> D-pi(+)) = 0.0129 +/- 0.0005 +/- 0.0008, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.

Abstract: A search for B-s(0) -> (D) over bar (0) f(0)(980) decays is performed using 3.0 fb(1-) of pp collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment during 2011 and 2012. The f(0)(980) meson is reconstructed through its decay to the pi(+)pi(-) final state in the mass window 900 MeV/c(2) < m (pi(+)pi(-)) < 1080 MeV/c(2). No significant signal is observed. The first upper limits on the branching fraction of B (B-s(0) -> (D) over bar (0) f(0)(980)) < 3.1 (3.4) x 10(-6) are set at 90% (95 %) confidence level.

Abstract: Using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) collected in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, the B (s) (0) -> aEuro parts per thousand I center dot I center dot branching fraction is measured to be B(B-0 -> phi phi) = (1.84 +/- 0.05(stat) +/- 0.07 (syst) +/- 0.11 (f(s)/f(d)) +/- 0.12 (norm)) x 10(-5) where f (s) /f (d) represents the ratio of the B (s) (0) to B (0) production cross-sections, and the B (0) -> I center dot K (*)(892)(0) decay mode is used for normalization. This is the most precise measurement of this branching fraction to date, representing a factor five reduction in the statistical uncertainty compared with the previous best measurement. A search for the decay B (0) -> I center dot I center dot is also made. No signal is observed, and an upper limit on the branching fraction is set as B(B-0 -> phi phi < 2.8 x 10(-8)) at 90% confidence level. This is a factor of seven improvement compared to the previous best limit.
