Abstract: We recall the predictions made ten years ago about a bound state of J(P) = 0(+) in I = 0 of the D*(K) over bar* system, which is manifestly exotic, and we associate it to the X-0(2866) state reported in the recent LHCb experiment. Fine tuning the parameters to reproduce exactly the mass and width of the X-0(2866) state, we report two more states stemming from the same interaction, one with 1(+) and the other with 2(+). For reasons of parity, the 1(+) state cannot be observed in D (K) over bar decay, and we suggest to observe it in the D*(K) over bar spectrum. On the other hand, the 2(+) state can be observed in D (K) over bar decay but the present experiment has too small statistics in the region of its mass to make any claim. We note that measurements of the D*(K) over bar spectrum and of the D (K) over bar with more statistics should bring important information concerning the nature of the X-0(2866) and related ones that could be observed.

Abstract: We study the e(+)e(-) -> K+(D-s*D--(0) + Ds-D*(0)) reaction recently measured at BESIII, from where a new Z(cs) state has been reported. We study the interaction of (D) over bar D-s* with the coupled channels J/psi K-, K*(-)eta(c), Ds-D*(0), D-s*D--(0) by means of an extension to the charm sector of the local hidden gauge approach. We find that the Ds-D*(0) + D-s*D--(0) combination couples to J/psi K- and K*(-)eta(c), but the Ds-D*(0 ) -D-s*D--(0) combination does not. The coupled channels help to build up strength in the Ds-D*(0) + D-s*D--(0) diagonal scattering matrix close to threshold and, although the interaction is not strong enough to produce a bound state or resonance, it is sufficient to produce a large accumulation of strength at the (D) over bar D-s* threshold in the e(+)e(-) -> K+(D-s*D--(0) + Ds-D*(0)) reaction in agreement with experiment.

Abstract: The Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda+cK+K-pi(-) decay is observed for the first time using a data sample of proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of root s = 7 and 8 TeV collected by the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3fb(-1). The ratio of branching fractions between the Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda K-+(c)+ K-pi(-) and the Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda D-+(c)s(-) decays is measured to be B(Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda+cK+K-pi(-))/B(Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda D-+(c)s(-)) = (9.26 +/- 0.29 +/- 0.46 +/- 0.26) x 10(-2), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third is due to the knowledge of the D-s(-) -> K+K-pi(-) branching fraction. No structure on the invariant mass distribution of the Lambda K-+(c)+ system is found, consistent with no open-charm pentaquark signature.

Abstract: We propose a flavor theory of leptons implementing an A(4) family symmetry. Our scheme provides a simple way to derive trimaximal neutrino mixing from first principles, leading to simple and testable predictions for neutrino mixing and CP violation. Dark matter mediates neutrino mass generation, as in the simplest scotogenic model.

Abstract: This letter reports the observation of photon-induced production of W-boson pairs, gamma gamma -> WW. The analysis uses 139 fb(-1) of LHC proton-proton collision data taken at root s = 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment during the years 2015-2018. The measurement is performed selecting one electron and one muon, corresponding to the decay of the diboson system as WW -> e(+/-)nu mu(-/+)nu final state. The background-only hypothesis is rejected with a significance of well above 5 standard deviations consistent with the expectation from Monte Carlo simulation. A cross section for the gamma gamma -> WW process of 3.13 +/- 0.31(stat.) +/- 0.28(syst.) fb is measured in a fiducial volume close to the acceptance of the detector, by requiring an electron and a muon of opposite signs with large dilepton transverse momentum and exactly zero additional charged particles. This is found to be in agreement with the Standard Model prediction.

Abstract: The associated production of a Higgs boson with a W or Z boson decaying into leptons and where the Higgs boson decays to a b (b) over bar pair is measured in the high vector-boson transverse momentum regime, above 250 GeV, with the ATLAS detector. The analysed data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1), were collected in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider between 2015 and 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of root s = 13 TeV. The measured signal strength, defined as the ratio of the measured signal yield to that predicted by the Standard Model, is 0.72(-0.36)(+0.39) corresponding to an observed (expected) significance of 2.1 (2.7) standard deviations. Cross-sections of associated production of a Higgs boson decaying into b quark pairs with a W or Z gauge boson, decaying into leptons, are measured in two exclusive vector boson transverse momentum regions, 250-400 GeV and above 400 GeV, and interpreted as constraints on anomalous couplings in the framework of a Standard Model effective field theory.

Abstract: The neutron-rich Pb-213 isotope was produced in the fragmentation of a primary 1 GeV A U-238 beam, separated in FRS in mass and atomic number, and then implanted for isomer decay gamma-ray spectroscopy with the RISING setup at GSI. A newly observed isomer and its measured decay properties indicate that states in Pb-213 are characterized by the seniority quantum number that counts the nucleons not in pairs coupled to angular momentum J = 0. The conservation of seniority is a consequence of a geometric phase associated with particle-hole conjugation, which becomes observable in semi-magic nuclei where nucleons half-fill the valence shell. The gamma-ray spectroscopic observables in Pb-213 are thus found to be driven by two mechanisms, particle-hole conjugation and seniority conservation, which are intertwined through a Berry phase.

Abstract: We analyze the consistency of electroweak breaking, neutrino and dark matter phenomenology within the simplest scoto-seesaw model. By adding the minimal dark sector to the simplest “missing partner” type-I seesaw one has a physical picture for the neutrino oscillation lengths: the “atmospheric” mass scale arises from the tree-level seesaw, while the “solar” scale is induced radiatively, mediated by the dark sector. We identify parameter regions consistent with theoretical constraints, as well as dark matter relic abundance and direct detection searches. Using two-loop renormalization group equations we explore the stability of the vacuum and the consistency of the underlying dark parity symmetry. One also has a lower bound for the neutrinoless double beta decay amplitude.

Abstract: A search for the Higgs boson decaying into a photon and a pair of electrons or muons with an invariant mass m(ll) < 30 GeV is presented. The analysis is performed using 139 fb(-1) of proton-proton collision data, produced by the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV and collected by the ATLAS experiment. Evidence for the H -> ll(gamma) process is found with a significance of 3.2 over the background-only hypothesis, compared to an expected significance of 2.1 for the Standard Model prediction. The best-fit value of the signal-strength parameter, defined as the ratio of the observed signal yield to the one expected in the Standard Model, is μ= 1.5 +/- 0.5. The Higgs boson production cross-section times the H -> ll(gamma) branching ratio for m(ll) < 30 GeV is determined to be 8.7(-2.7)(+2.8) fb.

Abstract: We analyze a model with unbroken U(1)(B-L) gauge symmetry where neutrino masses are generated at one loop, after spontaneous breaking of a global U(1)(G) symmetry. These symmetries ensure dark matter (DM) stability and the Diracness of neutrinos. Within this context, we examine fermionic dark matter. Consistency between the required neutrino mass and the observed relic abundance indicates dark matter masses and couplings within the reach of direct detection experiments.
