Abstract |
This Letter reports the observation of WWW production and a measurement of its cross section using detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Events with two same-sign leptons (electrons or muons) and at least two jets, as well as events with three charged leptons, are selected. A multivariate technique is then used to discriminate between signal and background events. Events from WWW production are observed with a significance of 8.0 standard deviations, where the expectation is 5.4 standard deviations. The inclusive WWW production cross section is measured to be 820 ± 100 (stat) ± 80 (syst) fb, approximately 2.6 standard deviations from the predicted cross section of 511 ± 18 fb calculated at next-to-leading-order QCD and leading-order electroweak accuracy. |

Abstract |
A search for a long-lived, heavy neutral lepton (N) in 139 fb(-1) of vs = 13 TeV pp collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider is reported. The N is produced via W ?N μor W -Ne and decays into two charged leptons and a neutrino, forming a displaced vertex. The N mass is used to discriminate between signal and background. No signal is observed, and limits are set on the squared mixing parameters of the N with the left-handed neutrino states for the N mass range 3 GeV < m(N) < 15 GeV. For the first time, limits are given for both single-flavor and multiflavor mixing scenarios motivated by neutrino flavor oscillation results for both the normal and inverted neutrino-mass hierarchies. |

Abstract |
A test of CP invariance in Higgs boson production via vector-boson fusion has been performed in the H -> gamma gamma channel using 139 fb(-1) of proton-proton collision data at root s = 13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The optimal observable method is used to probe the CP structure of interactions between the Higgs boson and electroweak gauge bosons, as described by an effective field theory. No sign of CP violation is observed in the data. Constraints are set on the parameters describing the strength of the CP-odd component in the coupling between the Higgs boson and the electroweak gauge bosons in two effective field theory bases: (d) over tilde in the HISZ basis and c(H (W) over tilde) in the Warsaw basis. The results presented are the most stringent constraints on CP violation in the coupling between Higgs and weak bosons. The 95% C.L. constraint on (d) over tilde is derived for the first time and the 95% C.L. constraint on c(H (W) over tilde) has been improved by a factor of 5 compared to the previous measurement. |

Abstract |
The production rate of B-s(0) mesons relative to B-0 mesons is measured by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy root s = 13 TeV over the forward rapidity interval 2 < y < 4.5 as a function of the charged particle multiplicity measured in the event. Evidence at the 3.4 sigma level is found for an increase of the ratio of B-s(0) to B-0 cross sections with multiplicity at transverse momenta below 6 GeV=c, with no significant multiplicity dependence at higher transverse momentum. Comparison with data from e(+)e(-) collisions implies that the density of the hadronic medium may affect the production rates of B mesons. This is qualitatively consistent with the emergence of quark coalescence as an additional hadronization mechanism in high-multiplicity collisions. |

Abstract |
Using 467 fb(-1) of e(+)e(-) annihilation data collected with the BABAR detector, we measure B(tau(-)->mu(-)(nu) over bar (mu)nu(tau))/B(tau(-)-> e(-)(nu) over bar (e)nu(tau)) = (0.9796 +/- 0.0016 +/- 0.0036), B(tau(-)->pi(-)nu(tau))/B(tau(-)-> e(-)nu(e)nu(tau)) = (0.5945 +/- 0.0014 +/- 0.0061), and B(tau(-)-> K-nu(tau))/B(tau(-)-> e(-)nu(e)nu(tau)) = (0.03882 +/- 0.00032 +/- 0.00057), where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. From these precision similar to measurements, we test the standard model assumption of μ- e and tau – μcharge current lepton universality and provide determinations of vertical bar V-us vertical bar experimentally independent of the decay of a kaon. |

Abstract |
We report on the calculation of W-+/- Zjj production with leptonic decays at hadron-hadron colliders at next-to-leading order in QCD. These processes are important both to test the quartic gauge couplings of the standard model and because they constitute relevant backgrounds to beyond standard model physics searches. Our results show that the next-to-leading order corrections reduce significantly the scale uncertainties and have a nontrivial phase space dependence. |

Abstract |
The first observation of the B-s(0) -> eta'eta' decay is reported. The study is based on a sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to 3.0 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected with the LHCb detector. The significance of the signal is 6.4 standard deviations. The branching fraction is measured to be [3.31 +/- 0.64(stat) +/- 0.28(syst) +/- 0.12(norm)] x 10(-5), where the third uncertainty comes from the B-+/- -> eta'K-+/- branching fraction that is used as a normalization. In addition, the charge asymmetries of B-+/- -> eta'K-+/- and B-+/- -> phi K-+/-, which are control channels, are measured to be (-0.2 +/- 1.3)% and (+1.7 +/- 1.3)%, respectively. All results are consistent with theoretical expectations. |

Abstract |
Measurements of the cross section for producing b quarks in the reaction pp -> b (b) over barX are reported in 7 and 13 TeV collisions at the LHC as a function of the pseudorapidity. in the range 2 < eta < 5 covered by the acceptance of the LHCb experiment. The measurements are done using semileptonic decays of b-flavored hadrons decaying into a ground-state charmed hadron in association with a muon. The cross sections in the covered. range are 72.0 +/- 0.3 +/- 6.8 and 154.3 +/- 1.5 +/- 14.3 +/- μb for 7 and 13 TeV. The ratio is 2.14 +/- 0.02 +/- 0.13, where the quoted uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The agreement with theoretical expectation is good at 7 TeV, but differs somewhat at 13 TeV. The measured ratio of cross sections is larger at lower eta than the model prediction. |

Abstract |
A search for the dimuon decay of the Higgs boson was performed using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb(-1) collected with the ATLAS detector in pp collisions at root s = 13 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider. No significant excess is observed above the expected background. The observed (expected) upper limit on the cross section times branching ratio is 3.0 (3.1) times the Standard Model prediction at the 95% confidence level for a Higgs boson mass of 125 GeV. When combined with the pp collision data at root s = 7 TeV and root s = 8 TeV, the observed (expected) upper limit is 2.8 (2.9) times the Standard Model prediction. |

Abstract |
The first measurement of the lifetime of the doubly charmed baryon Xi(++)(cc) is presented, with the signal reconstructed in the final state Lambda K-+(c)-pi(+)pi(+). The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb(-1), collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The Xi(++)(cc) lifetime is measured to be 0.256(-0.022)(+0.024) (stat) +/- 0.014(syst) ps. |
