Abstract |
We propose a systematic and renormalizable sequential loop suppression mechanism to generate the hierarchy of the Standard Model fermion masses from one discrete symmetry. The discrete symmetry is sequentially softly broken in order to generate one-loop level masses for the bottom, charm, tau and muon leptons and two-loop level masses for the lightest Standard Model charged fermions. The tiny masses for the light active neutrinos are produced from radiative type-I seesaw mechanism, where the Dirac mass terms are effectively generated at two-loop level. |

Abstract |
The stringent experimental bound on μ-> e gamma is compatible with a simultaneous and sizable new physics contribution to the electron and muon anomalous magnetic moments (g – 2)(l) (l = e, mu), only if we assume a non-trivial flavor structure of the dipole operator coefficients. We propose a mechanism in which the realization of the (g – 2)(l) correction is manifestly related to the mass generation through a flavor symmetry. A radiative flavon correction to the fermion mass gives a contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment. In this framework, we introduce a chiral enhancement from a non-trivial O(1) quartic coupling of the scalar potential. We show that the muon and electron anomalies can be simultaneously explained in a vast region of the parameter space with predicted vector-like mediators of masses as large as M chi is an element of [0.6, 2.5] TeV. |

Abstract |
This paper presents an analysis of the Lambda(0)(b) -> J/psi Lambda angular distribution and the transverse production polarisation of Lambda(0)(b) baryons in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV. The measurements are performed using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.9 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb experiment. The polarisation is determined in a fiducial region of Lambda(0)(b) transverse momentum and pseudorapidity of 1 < p(T) < 20 GeV/c and 2 < eta < 5, respectively. The data are consistent with Lambda(0)(b) baryons being produced unpolarised in this region. The parity-violating asymmetry parameter of the Lambda -> p pi(-) decay is also determined from the data and its value is found to be consistent with a recent measurement by the BES III collaboration. |

Abstract |
A new baryon state is observed in the Lambda(0)(b)pi(+)pi(-) mass spectrum with high significance using a data sample of pp collisions, collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies root s = 7, 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The mass and natural width of the new state are measured to be m = 6072.3 +/- 2.9 +/- 0.6 +/- 0.2 MeV, Gamma = 72 +/- 11 +/- 2 MeV, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The third uncertainty for the mass is due to imprecise knowledge of the Lambda(0)(b) baryon mass. The new state is consistent with the first radial excitation of the Lambda(0)(b) baryon, the Lambda(b)(2S)(0) resonance. Updated measurements of the masses and the upper limits on the natural widths of the previously observed Lambda(b)(5912)(0) and Lambda(b)(5920)(0) states are also reported. |

Abstract |
The decays B+-> J/psi pi(+)pi(-)K(+)are studied using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1)collected with the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions between 2011 and 2018. Precise measurements of the ratios of branching fractions with the intermediate psi(2)(3823), chi(c1)(3872) and psi(2S) states are reported. The values areBB+->psi 2(“>3823K+xB psi 2(”>3823 -> J/psi pi+pi-BB+->chi c1>3872K+xB chi c1>3872 -> J/psi pi+pi-=>3.56 +/- 0.67 +/- 0.11x10-2,BB+->psi 2>3823K+xB psi 2>3823 -> J/psi pi+pi-BB+->psi>2SK+xB psi>2S -> J/psi pi+pi-=>1.31 +/- 0.25 +/- 0.04x10-3,BB+->chi c1>3872K+xB chi c1>3872 -> J/psi pi+pi-BB+->psi>2SK+xB psi>2S -> J/psi pi+pi-= where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The decay of B+->psi(2)(3823)K(+)with psi(2)(3823)-> J/psi pi(+)pi(-)is observed for the first time with a significance of 5.1 standard deviations. The mass differences between the psi(2)(3823), chi(c1)(3872) and psi(2S) states are measured to be m chi c1>3872-m psi 2>3823=47. 50 +/- 0.53 +/- 0.13MeV/c2,m psi 2 2S=185.49 +/- 0.06 +/- 0.03MeV/c2, resulting in the most precise determination of the chi(c1)(3872) mass. The width of the psi(2)(3823) state is found to be below 5.2 MeV at 90% confidence level. The Breit-Wigner width of the chi(c1)(3872) state is measured to be Gamma chi c13872BW=0.96-0.18+0.19 +/- 0.21MeV={0.96}_{-0.18}<^>{+0.19}\pm 0.21\;\mathrm{MeV} which is inconsistent with zero by 5.5 standard deviations. |

Abstract |
This paper presents a search for new heavy particles decaying into a pair of top quarks using 139 fb(-1) of proton-proton collision data recorded at a centre-of-mass energy of root s = 13TeV with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The search is performed using events consistent with pair production of high-transverse-momentum top quarks and their subsequent decays into the fully hadronic final states. The analysis is optimized for resonances decaying into a t (t) over bar pair with mass above 1.4TeV, exploiting a dedicated multivariate technique with jet substructure to identify hadronically decaying top quarks using large-radius jets and evaluating the background expectation from data. No significant deviation from the background prediction is observed. Limits are set on the production cross-section times branching fraction for the new Z' boson in a topcolor-assisted-technicolor model. The Z0 boson masses below 3.9 and 4.7TeV are excluded at 95% confidence level for the decay widths of 1% and 3%, respectively. |

Abstract |
A search for the doubly heavy Xi bc0 baryon using its decay to the D(0)pK(-) final state is performed using proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment between 2016 and 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb(-1). No significant signal is found in the invariant mass range from 6.7 to 7.2 GeV/c(2). Upper limits are set at 95% credibility level on the ratio of the Xi bc0 production cross-section times its branching fraction to D(0)pK(-) relative to that of the Lambda b0 -> D0pK- decay. The limits are set as a function of the Xi bc0 mass and lifetime hypotheses, in the rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and in the transverse momentum region from 5 to 25 GeV/c. Upper limits range from 1.7 x 10(-2) to 3.0 x 10(-1) for the considered Xi bc0 mass and lifetime hypotheses. |

The decays B-s(0) -> J/psi K*(K) over bar *0 and B-s(0) -> chi(c1)(3872)K+K-, where the K+K- pair does not originate from a phi meson, are observed for the first time. Precise measurements of the ratios of branching fractions between intermediate chi(c1)(3872)phi, J/psi K*0 (K) over bar *0, psi(2S)phi and chi(c1)(3872)K+K- states are reported. A structure, denoted as X(4740), is observed in the J/psi phi mass spectrum and, assuming a Breit-Wigner parameterisation, its mass and width are determined to be m(X(4740)) = 4741 +/- 6 +/- 6 MeV/c(2), Gamma(X(4740)) = 53 +/- 15 +/- 11MeV, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. In addition, the most precise single measurement of the mass of the B-s(0) meson is performed and gives a value of m(Bs)(0) = 5366.98 +/- 0.07 +/- 0.13MeV/c(2). |

Abstract |
Precision measurements in allowed nuclear beta decays and neutron decay are reviewed and analyzed both within the Standard Model and looking for new physics. The analysis incorporates the most recent experimental and theoretical developments. The results are interpreted in terms of Wilson coefficients describing the effective interactions between leptons and nucleons (or quarks) that are responsible for beta decay. New global fits are performed incorporating a comprehensive list of precision measurements in neutron decay, superallowed 0(+)-> 0(+) transitions, and other nuclear decays that include, for the first time, data from mirror beta transitions. The results confirm the V-A character of the interaction and translate into updated values for V-ud and g(A) at the 10(-4) level. We also place new stringent limits on exotic couplings involving left-handed and right-handed neutrinos, which benefit significantly from the inclusion of mirror decays in the analysis. |

Using the Lambda b0</mml:msubsup>-> chi (c1)pK(-) decay as normalisation channel, the ratios of branching fractions are measured to be<disp-formula id=“Equa”><mml:mtable displaystyle=“true”><mml:mtr><mml:mtd><mml:mfrac>B<mml:mfenced close=“)” open=“(”>Lambda b0</mml:msubsup>-> chi c1p pi-</mml:mfenced>B<mml:mfenced close=“)” open=“(”>Lambda b0</mml:msubsup>-> <mml:msub>chi c1pK-</mml:mfenced></mml:mfrac>=<mml:mfenced close=“)” open=“(”>6.59 +/- 1.01 +/- 0.22</mml:mfenced>x10-2,</mml:mtd></mml:mtr><mml:mtr><mml:mtd><mml:mfrac>B<mml:mfenced close=“)” open=“(”>Lambda b0 -> <mml:msub>chi c2p pi-</mml:mfenced>B<mml:mfenced close=“)” open=“(”>Lambda b0 -> <mml:msub>chi c1p pi-</mml:mfenced></mml:mfrac>=0.95 +/- 0.30 +/- 0.04 +/- 0.04,</mml:mtd></mml:mtr><mml:mtr><mml:mtd><mml:mfrac>B<mml:mfenced close=“)” open=“(”>Lambda b0 -> <mml:msub>chi c2pK-</mml:mfenced>B<mml:mfenced close=“)” open=“(”>Lambda b0 -> <mml:msub>chi c1pK-</mml:mfenced></mml:mfrac>=1.06 +/- 0.05 +/- 0.04 +/- 0.04,</mml:mtd></mml:mtr></mml:mtable><graphic position=“anchor” xmlns:xlink=“http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink” xlink:href=“13130202115658ArticleEqua.gif”></graphic></disp-formula><p id=“Par2”>where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic and the third is due to the uncertainties in the branching fractions of chi (c1,2)-> J/psi gamma decays.<fig id=“Figa” position=“anchor”><graphic position=“anchor” specific-use=“HTML” mime-subtype=“JPEG” xmlns:xlink=“http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink” xlink:href=“MediaObjects/13130202115658FigaHTML.jpg” id=“MO1”></graphic |
