Abstract: Recently, the Weinberg compositeness condition of a bound state was generalized to account for resonant states and higher partial waves. We apply this extension to the case of the Lambda (1520) resonance and quantify the weight of the meson-baryon components in contrast to other possible genuine building blocks. This resonance was theoretically obtained from a coupled channels analysis using the s-wave pi Sigma* and K Xi* and the d-wave (K) over bar N and pi Sigma channels, applying the techniques of the chiral unitary approach. We obtain the result that this resonance is essentially dynamically generated from these meson-baryon channels, leaving room for only 15% weight of other kinds of components in its wave function.

Abstract: We study the weak decay of the Lambda(b) into J/psi K Xi. and J/psi eta Lambda states, and relate these processes to the Lambda(b) -> J/psi(K) over barN decay mode. The elementary weak transition at the quark level proceeds via the creation of a J/psi meson and an excited sud system with I = 0, which upon hadronization leads to (K) over barN or eta Lambda pairs. These states undergo final-state interaction in coupled channels and produce a final meson-baryon pair. The K. state only occurs via rescattering, hence making the Lambda(b) -> J/psi K Xi process very sensitive to the details of the meson-baryon interaction in strangeness S = -1 and isospin I = 0. We show that the corresponding invariant mass distribution is dominated by the next-to-leading-order terms of the chiral interaction. The I = 0 selectivity of this decay, and its large sensitivity to the higher-order terms, makes its measurement very useful and complementary to the K- p -> K Xi cross section data. The rates of the Lambda(b) -> J/psi K Xi and Lambda(b) -> J/psi eta Lambda invariant mass distributions are sizable compared to those of the Lambda(b) -> J/psi(K) over barN decay, which is measured experimentally, and thus, we provide arguments for an experimental determination of these decay modes that will help us understand better the chiral dynamics at higher energies.

Abstract: In this work, we study systems composed of a rho/omega and B* meson pair. We find three bound states in isospin, spin-parity channels (1/2, 0(+)), (1/2, 1(+)), and (1/2, 2(+)). The state with J = 2 can be a good candidate for the B-2*(5747). We also study the rho B system, and a bound state with mass 5728 MeV and width around 20 MeV is obtained, which can be identified with the B-1(5721) resonance. In the case of I = 3/2, one obtains repulsion and, thus, no exotic (molecular) mesons in this sector are generated in the approach.

Abstract: In a previous work we presented a theoretical analysis of the Lambda(b) -> J/psi K- p reaction based on which a recent experiment by the LHCb collaboration at CERN claimed the existence of two hidden charm pentaquarks, P-c(4380)(+) and P-c(4450)(+). In that work we focused only on the Lambda(1405) and P-c(4450)(+) signals and discussed the possible explanation of this pentaquark state within the picture of a dynamical meson-baryon molecule made up mostly from (D) over bar*Sigma(c) and (D) over bar*Sigma(c)* components. In the present work we improve upon the previous one by considering the total K- p and J/psi p data including all the relevant resonances contributing to the spectra, and discuss the possible nature of both P-c(4380)(+) and P-c(4450)(+). We also discuss several important topics, like the effect of the contact term in the reaction, the viability of reproducing the data without the P-c(4380)(+) and the possible quantum number assignment to these pentaquarks.

Abstract: The possible role of the triangle mechanism in the B- decay into D*(0)pi(-)pi(0)eta and D*(0)pi(-)pi(+)pi(-) is investigated. In this process, the triangle singularity appears from the decay of B- into D*K-0(-) K*(0) followed by the decay of K-*0 into pi(-) K+ and the fusion of the K+ K-, which forms the a(0)(980) or f(0)(980), which finally decay into pi(0)eta or pi(+)pi(-), respectively. The triangle mechanism from the (K) over bar * K (K) over bar loop generates a peak around 1420 MeV in the invariant mass of pi(-) a(0) or pi(-) f(0), and it gives sizable branching fractions, Br(B- -> D*(0)pi(-) a(0); a(0) -> pi(0)eta) = (1.66 +/- 0.45) x 10(-6) and Br(B- -> D*(0)pi(-) f(0); f(0) -> pi(+)pi(-)) = (2.82 +/- 0.75) x 10(-6).
