Orrigo, S. E. A. et al, Rubio, B., Gelletly, W., Agramunt, J., Algora, A., & Molina, F. (2016). beta decay of the exotic T-z =-2 nuclei Fe-48, Ni-52, and Zn-56. Phys. Rev. C, 93(4), 044336–18pp.
Abstract: The results of a study of the beta decays of three proton-rich nuclei with T-z = -2, namely Fe-48, Ni-52, and Zn-56, produced in an experiment carried out at GANIL, are reported. In all three cases we have extracted the half-lives and the total beta-delayed proton emission branching ratios. We have measured the individual beta-delayed protons and beta-delayed. rays and the branching ratios of the corresponding levels. Decay schemes have been determined for the three nuclei, and new energy levels are identified in the daughter nuclei. Competition between beta-delayed protons and. rays is observed in the de-excitation of the T = 2 isobaric analog states in all three cases. Absolute Fermi and Gamow-Teller transition strengths have been determined. The mass excesses of the nuclei under study have been deduced. In addition, we discuss in detail the data analysis taking as a test case Zn-56, where the exotic beta-delayed gamma-proton decay has been observed.

Mijatovia, T., Szilner, S., Corradi, L., Montanari, D., Pollarolo, G., Fioretto, E., et al. (2016). Study of the cross section determination with the PRISMA spectrometer: The Ar-40+Pb-208 case. Eur. Phys. J. A, 52(4), 113–6pp.
Abstract: The PRISMA spectrometer's response function was successfully applied to match three angular and magnetic settings over a wide angular range for measurements of quasi-elastic reactions in Ar-40 + Pb-208 . The absolute scale of cross sections has been obtained by using the Rutherford cross section at the forward angles and the information from the energy distributions measured with the spectrometer without and with coincidences with the CLARA -array. The semi-classical model GRAZING has been used to test the unfolding procedure and for comparison with the corrected cross sections.

ATLAS Collaboration(Aad, G. et al), Alvarez Piqueras, D., Cabrera Urban, S., Castillo Gimenez, V., Costa, M. J., Fernandez Martinez, P., et al. (2016). Probing lepton flavour violation via neutrinoless tau -> 3 μdecays with the ATLAS detector. Eur. Phys. J. C, 76(5), 232–25pp.
Abstract: This article presents the sensitivity of the ATLAS experiment to the lepton-flavour-violating decays of tau -> 3 mu. A method utilising the production of t leptons via W -> tau nu decays is used. This method is applied to the sample of 20.3 fb(-1) of pp collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in 2012. No event is observed passing the selection criteria, and the observed (expected) upper limit on the tau lepton branching fraction into three muons, Br(tau -> 3 mu), is 3.76 x 10(-7) (3.94 x 10(-7)) at 90 % confidence level.

van Beekveld, M., Beenakker, W., Caron, S., & Ruiz de Austri, R. (2016). The case for 100 GeV bino dark matter: a dedicated LHC tri-lepton search. J. High Energy Phys., 04(4), 154–26pp.
Abstract: Global fit studies performed in the pMSSM and the photon excess signal originating from the Galactic Center seem to suggest compressed electroweak supersymmetric spectra with a similar to 100 GeV bino-like dark matter particle. We find that these scenarios are not probed by traditional electroweak supersymmetry searches at the LHC. We propose to extend the ATLAS and CMS electroweak supersymmetry searches with an improved strategy for bino-like dark matter, focusing on chargino plus next-to-lightest neutralino production, with a subsequent decay into a tri-lepton final state. We explore the sensitivity for pMSSM scenarios with Delta m = m(NLSP) – m(LSF) similar to(5 – 50) GeV in the root s = 14 TeV run of the LHC. Counterintuitively, we find that the requirement of low missing transverse energy increases the sensitivity compared to the current ATLAS and CMS searches. With 300 fb(-1) of data we expect the LHC experiments to be able to discover these supersymmetric spectra with mass gaps down to Am 9 GeV for DM masses between 40 and 140 GeV. We stress the importance of a dedicated search strategy that targets precisely these favored pMSSM spectra.

Bayar, M., Fernandez-Soler, P., Sun, Z. F., & Oset, E. (2016). States of rho B*(B)over-bar* with J=3 within the fixed center approximation to Faddeev equations. Eur. Phys. J. A, 52(4), 106–8pp.
Abstract: In this work we stu dy the rho B*(B) over bar* three-body system solving the Faddeev equations in the fixed center approximation. We assume the B*B* system forming a cluster, and in terms of the two-body rho B* unitarized scattering amplitudes in the local hidden gauge approach we find a new I(J(PC)) = 1(3(--)) state. The mass of the new state corresponds to a two-particle invariant mass of the rho B* system close to the resonant energy of the B-2(*) (5747), indicating that the role of this J = 2 resonance is important in the dynamical generation of the new state.
