Abstract |
We derive constraints on the annual modulation signal in Dark Matter (DM) direct detection experiments in terms of the unmodulated event rate. A general bound independent of the details of the DM distribution follows from the assumption that the motion of the earth around the sun is the only source of time variation. The bound is valid for a very general class of particle physics models and also holds in the presence of an unknown unmodulated background. More stringent bounds are obtained, if modest assumptions on symmetry properties of the DM halo are adopted. We illustrate the bounds by applying them to the annual modulation signals reported by the DAMA and CoGeNT experiments in the framework of spin-independent elastic scattering. While the DAMA signal satisfies our bounds, severe restrictions on the DM mass can be set for CoGeNT. |

Abstract |
A search for cosmic neutrino sources using six years of data collected by the ANTARES neutrino telescope has been performed. Clusters of muon neutrinos over the expected atmospheric background have been looked for. No clear signal has been found. The most signal-like accumulation of events is located at equatorial coordinates R.A. = -46 degrees.8 and decl. = -64 degrees.9 and corresponds to a 2.2 sigma background fluctuation. In addition, upper limits on the flux normalization of an E-2 muon neutrino energy spectrum have been set for 50 pre-selected astrophysical objects. Finally, motivated by an accumulation of seven events relatively close to the Galactic Center in the recently reported neutrino sample of the IceCube telescope, a search for point sources in a broad region around this accumulation has been carried out. No indication of a neutrino signal has been found in the ANTARES data and upper limits on the flux normalization of an E-2 energy spectrum of neutrinos from point sources in that region have been set. The 90% confidence level upper limits on the muon neutrino flux normalization vary between 3.5 and 5.1 x 10(-8) GeV cm(-2) s(-1), depending on the exact location of the source. |

Abstract |
A search for CP violation using T-odd correlations is performed using the four-body D-0 -> K+K-pi(+)pi(-) decay, selected from semileptonic B decays. The data sample corresponds to integrated luminosities of 1.0 fb(-1) and 2.0 fb(-1) recorded at the centre-of-mass energies of 7 TeV and 8 TeV, respectively. The CP-violating asymmetry alpha(T-odd)(CP) is measured to be (0.18 +/- 0.29 (stat) +/- 0.04 (syst))%. Searches for CP violation in different regions of phase space of the four-body decay, and as a function of the D-0 decay time, are also presented. No significant deviation from the CP conservation hypothesis is found. |

Abstract |
We perform a complete one-loop computation of the two-body flavour-changing top decays t --> ch and t --> cV (V = gamma, Z), within the aligned two-Higgs-doublet model. We evaluate the impact of the model parameters on the associated branching ratios, taking into account constraints from flavour data and measurements of the Higgs properties. Assuming that the 125 GeV Higgs corresponds to the lightest CP-even scalar of the CP-conserving aligned two-Higgs-doublet model, we find that the rates for such flavour-changing top decays lie below the expected sensitivity of the future high-luminosity phase of the LHC. Measurements of the Higgs signal strength in the di-photon channel are found to play an important role in limiting the size of the t --> ch decay rate when the charged scalar of the model is light. |

Abstract |
A search for B-s(0) -> (D) over bar (0) f(0)(980) decays is performed using 3.0 fb(1-) of pp collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment during 2011 and 2012. The f(0)(980) meson is reconstructed through its decay to the pi(+)pi(-) final state in the mass window 900 MeV/c(2) < m (pi(+)pi(-)) < 1080 MeV/c(2). No significant signal is observed. The first upper limits on the branching fraction of B (B-s(0) -> (D) over bar (0) f(0)(980)) < 3.1 (3.4) x 10(-6) are set at 90% (95 %) confidence level. |
