BABAR Collaboration(Lees, J. P. et al), Martinez-Vidal, F., & Oyanguren, A. (2018). Measurement of the spectral function for the tau(-) -> K- K(S)v(tau) decay. Phys. Rev. D, 98(3), 032010–11pp.
Abstract: The decay tau(-) -> K- K(S)v(tau) has been studied using 430 x 10(6) e(+) e(-) -> tau(+) tau(-) events produced at a center-of-mass energy around 10.6 GeV at the PEP-II collider and studied with the BABAR detector. The mass spectrum of the K- K-S system has been measured and the spectral function has been obtained. The measured branching fraction B(tau(-) -> K- K(S)v(tau)) = (0.739 +/- 0.011 (stat) +/- 0.020 (syst)) x 10(-3) is found to be in agreement with earlier measurements.

Abstract: A study of the B+ -> (KSK+)-K-0 K-pi(+) and B+ -> (KSK+K+)-K-0 pi(-) decays is performed using proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV at the LHCb experiment. The (KSK)-K-0 pi invariant mass spectra from both decay modes reveal a rich content of charmonium resonances. New precise measurements of the eta(c) and eta(c)(2S) resonance parameters are performed and branching fraction measurements are obtained for B+ decays to eta(c), J/psi, eta(c)(2S) and chi(c1) resonances. In particular, the first observation and branching fraction measurement of B+ -> chi K-c0(0)pi(+) is reported as well as first measurements of the B+ -> (KK+K-)-K-0 pi(+) and B+ -> (KK+K+)-K-0 pi(-) branching fractions. Dalitz plot analyses of eta(c) -> (KSK)-K-0 pi and eta(c)(2S) -> (KSK)-K-0 pi decays are performed. A new measurement of the amplitude and phase of the K pi S-wave as functions of the K pi mass is performed, together with measurements of the K-0*(1430), K-0*(1950) and a(0)(1700) parameters. Finally, the branching fractions of chi(c1) decays to K* resonances are also measured.

BABAR Collaboration(Lees, J. P. et al), Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., & Villanueva-Perez, P. (2013). Production of charged pions, kaons, and protons in e(+)e(-) annihilations into hadrons at root s=10.54 GeV. Phys. Rev. D, 88(3), 032011–26pp.
Abstract: Inclusive production cross sections of pi(+/-), K-+/- and p/(p) over bar per hadronic e(+)e(-) annihilation event are measured at a center-of-mass energy of 10.54 GeV, using a relatively small sample of very high quality data from the BABAR experiment at the PEP-II B-factory at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. The drift chamber and Cherenkov detector provide clean samples of identified pi(+/-), K-+/-, and p/(p) over bar over a wide range of momenta. Since the center-of-mass energy is below the threshold to produce a B (B) over bar pair, with B a bottom-quark meson, these data represent a pure e(+)e(-) -> q (q) over bar sample with four quark flavors, and are used to test QCD predictions and hadronization models. Combined with measurements at other energies, in particular at the Z(0) resonance, they also provide precise constraints on the scaling properties of the hadronization process over a wide energy range.

Abstract: In a sample of 471 x 10(6) B (B) over bar events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e(+)e(-) collider we study the rare decays B -> K((*))l(+)l(-), where l(+)l(-) is either e(+)e(-) or mu(+)mu(-). We report results on partial branching fractions and isospin asymmetries in seven bins of dilepton mass-squared. We further present CP and lepton-flavor asymmetries for dilepton masses below and above the J/psi resonance. We find no evidence for CP or lepton-flavor violation. The partial branching fractions and isospin asymmetries are consistent with the Standard Model predictions and with results from other experiments.

BABAR Collaboration(Lees, J. P. et al), Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., & Villanueva-Perez, P. (2013). Search for the rare decays B -> pi l(+)l(-) and B-0 -> eta l(+)l(-). Phys. Rev. D, 88(3), 032012–16pp.
Abstract: We present the results of a search for the rare flavor-changing neutral-current decays B -> pi l(+)l(-) (pi = pi(+), pi(0) and l = e, mu) and B-0 -> eta l(+)l(-) using a sample of e(+)e(-) -> Upsilon(4S) -> B (B) over bar decays corresponding to 428 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected by the BABAR detector. No significant signal is observed, and we set an upper limit on the isospin and lepton-flavor averaged branching fraction of B(B -> pi l(+)l(-)) < 5.9 x 10(-8) and a lepton-flavor averaged upper limit of B(B-0 -> eta l(+)l(-)) < 6.4 x 10(-8), both at the 90% confidence level. We also report 90% confidence level branching fraction upper limits for the individual modes B+ -> pi(+)e(+)e(-), B-0 -> pi(0)e(+)e(-), B-0 -> pi(+)mu(+)mu(-), B-0 -> pi(+)mu(+)mu(-), B-0 -> pi(0)mu(+)mu(-), B-0 -> eta e(+)e(-), and B-0 ->eta mu(+)mu(-).

BABAR Collaboration(Lees, J. P. et al), Martinez-Vidal, F., & Oyanguren, A. (2012). Precise measurement of the e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-)(gamma) cross section with the initial-state radiation method at BABAR. Phys. Rev. D, 86(3), 032013–49pp.
Abstract: A precise measurement of the cross section of the process e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-) (gamma) from threshold to an energy of 3 GeV is obtained with the initial-state radiation (ISR) method using 232 fb(-1) of data collected with the BABAR detector at e(+)e(-) center-of-mass energies near 10.6 GeV. The ISR luminosity is determined from a study of the leptonic process e(+)e(-) -> mu(+)mu(-) (gamma)gamma(ISR), which is found to agree with the next-to-leading-order QED prediction to within 1.1%. The cross section for the process e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-) (gamma) is obtained with a systematic uncertainty of 0.5% in the dominant rho resonance region. The leading-order hadronic contribution to the muon magnetic anomaly calculated using the measured pi pi cross section from threshold to 1.8 GeV is (514.1 +/- 2.2(stat) +/- 3.1(sys)) x 10(-10).

BABAR Collaboration(Lees, J. P. et al), Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., & Villanueva-Perez, P. (2013). Precision measurement of the e(+)e(-) -> K+K-(gamma) cross section with the initial-state radiation method at BABAR. Phys. Rev. D, 88(3), 032013–28pp.
Abstract: A precise measurement of the cross section for the process e(+)e(-) -> K+K-(gamma) from threshold to an energy of 5 GeV is obtained with the initial-state radiation (ISR) method using 232 fb(-1) of data collected with the BABAR detector at e(+)e(-) center-of-mass energies near 10.6 GeV. The measurement uses the effective ISR luminosity determined from the e(+)e(-) -> mu(+)mu(-)(gamma)gamma(ISR) process with the same data set. The corresponding lowest-order contribution to the hadronic vacuum polarization term in the muon magnetic anomaly is found to be a(mu)(KK,LO) = (22.93 +/- 0.18(stat) +/- 0.22(syst)) x 10(-10). The charged kaon form factor is extracted and compared to previous results. Its magnitude at large energy significantly exceeds the asymptotic QCD prediction, while the measured slope is consistent with the prediction.

Abstract: The photoproduction of J/psi mesons at low transverse momentum is studied in peripheral lead-lead collisions collected by the LHCb Collaboration at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of 5 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 210 μb(-1). The J/psi candidates are reconstructed through the prompt decay into two muons of opposite charge in the rapidity region of 2.0 < y < 4.5. The results significantly improve previous measurements and are compared to the latest theoretical prediction.

LHCb Collaboration(Aaij, R. et al), Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., Ruiz Valls, P., & Sanchez Mayordomo, C. (2015). Measurement of the Semileptonic CP Asymmetry in B-0-(B)over-bar(0) Mixing. Phys. Rev. Lett., 114(4), 041601–9pp.
Abstract: The semileptonic CP asymmetry in B-0-(B) over bar (0) mixing, a(s1)(d), is measured in proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1), recorded by the LHCb experiment. Semileptonic B-0 decays are reconstructed in the inclusive final states D-mu(+) and D*(-)mu(+), where the D- meson decays into the K+pi(-)pi(-) final state and the D*(-) meson into the (D) over bar (0)(-> K+pi(-))pi(-) final state. The asymmetry between the numbers of D-(*()-)mu(+) and D-(*()+)mu(-) decays is measured as a function of the decay time of the B-0 mesons. The CP asymmetry is measured to be a(s1)(d) = (-0.02 +/- 0.19 +/- 0.30)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This is the most precise measurement of a(s1)(d) to date and is consistent with the prediction from the standard model.

LHCb Collaboration(Aaij, R. et al), Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., Ruiz Valls, P., & Sanchez Mayordomo, C. (2015). Precision Measurement of CP Violation in B-S(0) -> J/Psi K+K- Decays. Phys. Rev. Lett., 114(4), 041801–9pp.
Abstract: The time-dependent CP asymmetry in B-S(0) -> J/Psi K+K- decays is measured using pp collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. In a sample of 96 000 B-S(0) -> J/Psi K+K- decays, the CP-violating phase phi(s) is measured, as well as the decay widths GL and GH of the light and heavy mass eigenstates of the B-s(0)-(B) over bar (0)(s) system. The values obtained are phi(s) = -0.058 +/- 0.049 +/- 0.006 rad, Gamma(s) equivalent to (Gamma(L) + Gamma(H))/2 = 0.6603 +/- 0.0027 +/- 0.0015 ps(-1), and Delta Gamma(s) equivalent to Gamma(L)-Gamma(H) = 0.0805 +/- 0.0091 +/- 0.0032 ps(-1), where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second, systematic. These are the most precise single measurements of those quantities to date. A combined analysis with B-s(0) -> J/Psi pi(+)pi(-) decays gives phi(s) = -0.010 +/- 0.039 rad. All measurements are in agreement with the standard model predictions. For the first time, the phase phi(s) is measured independently for each polarization state of the K+K- system and shows no evidence for polarization dependence.
