Search for new phenomena with large jet multiplicities and missing transverse momentum using large-radius jets and flavour-tagging at ATLAS in 13 TeV pp collisions. J. Abstract: A search is presented for particles that decay producing a large jet multiplicity and invisible particles. The event selection applies a veto on the presence of isolated electrons or muons and additional requirements on the number of b-tagged jets and the scalar sum of masses of large-radius jets. Having explored the full ATLAS 2015-2016 dataset of LHC proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV, which corresponds to 36.1 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity, no evidence is found for physics beyond the Standard Model. The results are interpreted in the context of simplified models inspired by R-parity-conserving and R-parity-violating supersymmetry, where gluinos are pair-produced. More generic models within the phenomenological minimal supersymmetric Standard Model are also considered.

Abstract: Using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb, collected with the LHCb detector between 2011 and 2018, a new narrow charmonium state, the X(3842) resonance, is observed in the decay modes X(3842) ! D0 D 0 and X(3842) ! D+D. The mass and the natural width of this state are measured to be where the fi rst uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The observed mass and narrow natural width suggest the interpretation of the new state as the unobserved spin-3 3 1 3 D 3 charmonium state. In addition, prompt hadroproduction of the (3770) and 2 (3930) states is observed for the fi rst time, and the parameters of these states are measured to be m (3770) = 3778 : 1 0 : 7 0 : 6MeV where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.

Abstract: The W boson mass is measured using proton-proton collision data at root s = 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7fb(-1) recorded during 2016 by the LHCb experiment. With a simultaneous fit of the muon q/p(T) distribution of a sample of W ->mu y decays and the phi* distribution of a sample of Z -> μμdecays the W boson mass is determined to be m(W )= 80354 +/- 23(stat )+/- 10(exp) +/- 17(theory) +/- 9(PDF) MeV, where uncertainties correspond to contributions from statistical, experimental systematic, theoretical and parton distribution function sources. This is an average of results based on three recent global parton distribution function sets. The measurement agrees well with the prediction of the global electroweak fit and with previous measurements.

Abstract: The decays of B (s) (0) and mesons into the J/psi K (+) K (-) final state are studied in the K (+) K (-) mass region above the I center dot(1020) meson in order to determine the resonant substructure and measure the CP-violating phase, I center dot (s) , the decay width, I“ (s) , and the width difference between light and heavy mass eigenstates, Delta I” (s) . A decay-time dependent amplitude analysis is employed. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1) produced in 7 and 8 TeV pp collisions at the LHC, collected by the LHCb experiment. The measurement determines I center dot (s) = 119 +/- 107 +/- 34 mrad. A combination with previous LHCb measurements using similar decays into the J/psi pi (+) pi (-) and J/psi I center dot(1020) final states gives I center dot (s) = 1 +/- 37 mrad, consistent with the Standard Model prediction.

Abstract: A search for new phenomena in events with two same- charge leptons or three leptons and jets identi fi ed as originating from b – quarks in a data sample of 36.1 fb of pp collisions at ps = 13TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider is reported. No signi fi cant excess is found and limits are set on vector- like quark, fourtop- quark, and same- sign top- quark pair production. The observed ( expected) 95% CL mass limits for a vector- like T – and B – quark singlet are mT > 0 : 98 ( 0 : 99) TeV and mB > 1 : 00 ( 1 : 01) TeV respectively. Limits on the production of the vector- like T5=3 – quark are also derived considering both pair and single production; in the former case the lower limit on the mass of the T5=3 – quark is ( expected to be) 1.19 ( 1.21) TeV. The Standard Model fourtop- quark production cross- section upper limit is ( expected to be) 69 ( 29) fb. Constraints are also set on exotic four- top- quark production models. Finally, limits are set on samesign top- quark pair production. The upper limit on uu ! tt production is ( expected to be) 89 ( 59) fb for a mediator mass of 1TeV, and a dark- matter interpretation is also derived, excluding a mediator of 3TeV with a dark- sector coupling of 1.0 and a coupling to ordinary matter above 0.31.
