Abstract: A search for the decays B-c(+) -> J/psi D-(*()0) Kappa(+) and B-c(+) -> J/psi D-(*K)+*(0) is performed with data collected at the LHCb experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). The decays B-c(+) -> J/psi(DK+)-K-0 and B-c(+) -> J/psi D*K-0(+) are observed for the first time, while first evidence is reported for the B-c(broken vertical bar) -> J/psi D*K-broken vertical bar(*0) and B-c(broken vertical bar) -> J/psi(DK)-K-broken vertical bar*(0) decays. The branching fractions of these decays are determined relative to the B-c(+) -> J/psi pi(+) decay. The B-c(+) mass is measured, using the J/psi(DK+)-K-0 final state, to be 6274.28 +/- 1.40(stat) +/- 0.32(syst) MeV/c(2). This is the most precise single measurement of the B-c(+) mass to date.

LHCb Collaboration(Aaij, R. et al), Garcia Martin, L. M., Henry, L., Jashal, B. K., Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., et al. (2020). Determination of quantum numbers for several excited charmed mesons observed in B- -> D*(+)pi(-) pi(-) decays. Phys. Rev. D, 101(3), 032005–24pp.
Abstract: A four-body amplitude analysis of the B- -> D*(+)pi(-) pi(-) decay is performed, where fractions and relative phases of the various resonances contributing to the decay are measured. Several quasi-model-independent analyses are performed aimed at searching for the presence of new states and establishing the quantum numbers of previously observed charmed meson resonances. In particular the resonance parameters and quantum numbers are determined for the D-1 (2420), D-1 (2430), D-0 (2550), D-1* (2600), D-2 (2740) and D-3*(2750) states. The mixing between the D-1 (2420) and D-1 (2430) resonances is studied and the mixing parameters are measured. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb(-1), collected in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV with the LHCb detector.

LHCb Collaboration(Aaij, R. et al), Henry, L., Jashal, B. K., Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., Remon Alepuz, C., et al. (2021). Precise measurement of the f(s)/f(d) ratio of fragmentation fractions and of B-s(0) decay branching fractions. Phys. Rev. D, 104(3), 032005–20pp.
Abstract: The ratio of the B-s(0) and B-0 fragmentation fractions, f(s)/f(d), in proton-proton collisions at the LHC, is obtained as a function of B-meson transverse momentum and collision center-of-mass energy from the combined analysis of different B-decay channels measured by the LHCb experiment. The results are described by a linear function of the meson transverse momentum or with a function inspired by Tsallis statistics. Precise measurements of the branching fractions of the B-s(0) -> J/psi phi and B-s(0)-> D-s(-)pi(+) decays are performed, reducing their uncertainty by about a factor of 2 with respect to previous world averages. Numerous B-s(0) decay branching fractions, measured at the LHCb experiment, are also updated using the new values of f(s)/f(d) and branching fractions of normalization channels. These results reduce a major source of systematic uncertainty in several searches for new physics performed through measurements of B-s(0) branching fractions.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the branching fractions of the 22 decay channels of the B-0 and B+ mesons to (D) over bar (()*()) D-(*()) K, where the D-(*()) and (D) over bar (()*()) mesons are fully reconstructed. Summing the 10 neutral modes and the 12 charged modes, the branching fractions are found to be B(B-0 -> (D) over bar (()*()) D-(*()) K) = (3.68 +/- 0.10 +/- 0.24)% and B(B+ -> (D) over bar (()*()) D-(*()) K) = (4.05 +/- 0.11 +/- 0.28)%, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The results are based on 429 fb(-1) of data containing 471 X 10(6)B (B) over bar pairs collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.

Study of (B)over-bar -> X(u)l(v)over-bar decays in B(B)over-bar events tagged by a fully reconstructed B-meson decay and determination of vertical bar V-ub vertical bar. Phys. Rev. D, 86(3), 032004–23pp.
Abstract: We report measurements of partial branching fractions for inclusive charmless semileptonic B decays (B) over bar -> X(u)l (v) over bar and the determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix element vertical bar V-ub vertical bar. The analysis is based on a sample of 467 x 10(6) Y(4S) -> B (B) over bar decays recorded with the BABAR detector at the PEP- II e(+)e(-) storage rings. We select events in which the decay of one of the B mesons is fully reconstructed and an electron or a muon signals the semileptonic decay of the other B meson. We measure partial branching fractions Delta B in several restricted regions of phase space and determine the CKM element vertical bar V-ub vertical bar based on different QCD predictions. For decays with a charged lepton momentum p(l)* > 1.0 GeV in the B meson rest frame, we obtain Delta B = (1.80 +/- 0.13(stat) +/- 0.15(sys) +/- 0.02(theo)) x 10(-3) from a fit to the two-dimensional M-X – q(2) distribution. Here, M-X refers to the invariant mass of the final state hadron X and q(2) is the invariant mass squared of the charged lepton and neutrino. From this measurement we extract vertical bar V-ub vertical bar = (4.33 +/- 0.24(exp) +/- 0.15(theo)) x 10(-3) as the arithmetic average of four results obtained from four different QCD predictions of the partial rate. We separately determine partial branching fractions for (B) over bar (0) and B- decays and derive a limit on the isospin breaking in (B) over bar -> X(u)l (v) over bar decays.

BABAR Collaboration(Lees, J. P. et al), Martinez-Vidal, F., & Oyanguren, A. (2013). Branching fraction measurement of B+ -> omega l(+)nu decays. Phys. Rev. D, 87(3), 032004–11pp.
Abstract: We present a measurement of the B+ -> omega l(+)nu branching fraction based on a sample of 467 million B (B) over bar pairs recorded by the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II e(+)e(-) collider. We observe 1125 +/- 131 signal decays, corresponding to a branching fraction of B(B+ -> omega l(+)nu) = (1.21 +/- 0.14 +/- 0.08) x 10(-4), where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. The dependence of the decay rate on q(2), the invariant mass squared of the leptons, is compared to QCD predictions of the form factors based on a quark model and light-cone sum rules.

Abstract: The time-dependent CP asymmetries in B-0 -> pi(+)pi(-) and B-(s)(0) -> K+K- decays are measured using a data sample of p p collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The same data sample is used to measure the time-integrated CP asymmetries in B-0 -> K+pi(-) and B-(s)(0) -> pi K-+(-) decays. The results are C pi+pi- = -0.34 +/- 0.06 +/- 0.01, S pi+pi- = -0.63 +/- 0.05 +/- 0.01, CK+K- = 0.20 +/- 0.06 +/- 0.02, SK+K- = 0.18 +/- 0.06 +/- 0.02, A(K+K-)(Delta Gamma) = -0.79 +/- 0.07 +/- 0.10, A(CP)(B0) = -0.084 +/- 0.004 +/- 0.003, and A(CP)(B0s) = 0.213 +/- 0.015 +/- 0.007, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Evidence for CP violation is found in the B-s(0) -> K+K- decay for the first time.

Abstract: We present results for the moments of observed spectra in inclusive semileptonic B-meson decays to charm hadrons (B) over bar -> X(c)l(-)(nu) over bar. Moments of the hadronic-mass and the combined mass-and-energy spectra for different minimum electron or muon momenta between 0.8 and 1: 9 GeV/c are obtained from a sample of 232 X 10(6) Gamma(4S) -> B (B) over bar events, collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B-meson factory at SLAC. We also present a reevaluation of the moments of electron-energy spectra and partial decay fractions B((B) over bar -> X(c)e(-)(nu) over bar) for minimum electron momenta between 0.6 and 1: 5 GeV/c based on a sample of 51 X 10(6) Gamma(4S) -> B (B) over bar events. The measurements are used for the extraction of the total decay fraction, the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix element vertical bar V-cb vertical bar, the quark masses m(b) and m(c), and four heavy-quark QCD parameters in the framework of a Heavy-Quark Expansion (HQE). We find B((B) over bar -> X(c)l(-)(nu) over bar = (10.64 +/- 0.17 +/- 0.06)% and vertical bar V-cb vertical bar = (42.05 +/- 0.45 +/- 0.70) X 10(-3).

Abstract: The resonant substructures of B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)pi(+)pi(-) decays are studied with the Dalitz plot technique. In this study a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) of pp collisions collected by the LHCb detector is used. The branching fraction of the B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)pi(+)pi(-) decay in the region m((D) over bar (0)pi(+/-)) > 2.1 GeV/c(2) is measured to be (8.46 +/- 0.14 +/- 0.29 +/- 0.40) x 10(-4), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic and the last arises from the normalization channel B-0 --> D*(2010)(-)pi(+). The pi(+)pi(-) S-wave components are modeled with the isobar and K-matrix formalisms. Results of the Dalitz plot analyses using both models are presented. A resonant structure at m((D) over bar (0)pi(-)) approximate to 2.8 GeV/c(2) is confirmed and its spin-parity is determined for the first time as J(P) = 3(-). The branching fraction, mass and width of this structure are determined together with those of the D-0*(2400)(-) and D-2*(2460)(-) resonances. The branching fractions of other B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)h(0) decay components with h(0) --> pi(+)pi(-) also reported. Many of these branching fraction measurements are the most precise to date. The first observation of the decays B0 --> (D) over bar (0)f(0)(500), B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)f(0)(980), B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)rho(1450), B-0 --> D-3(*)(2760)(-)pi(+) and the first evidence of B-0 --> (D) over bar (0)f(0)(2020) are presented.
