Abstract: In this study, we investigate the two step sequential one pion production mechanism, that is, np(I=0)->pi(-)pp followed by the fusion reaction pp ->pi(+)d, to describe the np ->pi(+)pi(-)d reaction with in state I = 0 . In this reaction, a narrow peak identified with a “ d(2380) ” dibaryon has been previously observed. We discover that the second reaction step pp ->pi(+)d is driven by a triangle singularity that determines the position of the peak of the reaction and the high strength of the cross section. The combined cross section of these two mechanisms produces a narrow peak with a position, width, and strength, that are compatible with experimental observations within the applied approximations made. This novel interpretation of the peak accomplished without invoking a dibaryon explains why this peak has remained undetected in other reactions.

Abstract: The N*(1535) can be dynamically generated in the chiral unitary approach with the coupled channels, K0E+; K+E0; K+A, and eta p. In this work, we evaluate the correlation functions for every channel and face the inverse problem. Assuming the correlation functions to correspond to real measurements, we conduct a fit to the data within a general framework in order to extract the information contained in these correlation functions. The bootstrap method is used to determine the uncertainties of the different observables, and we find that, assuming errors of the same order than in present measurements of correlation functions, one can determine the scattering length and effective range of all channels with a very good accuracy. Most remarkable is the fact that the method predicts the existence of a bound state of isospin 12 nature around the mass of the N*(1535) with an accuracy of 6 MeV. These results should encourage the actual measurement of these correlation functions (only the K+A one is measured so far), which can shed valuable light on the relationship of the N*(1535) state to these coupled channels, a subject of continuous debate.

Abstract: We study the interaction of the doubly bottom systems BB, B*B, BsB, B-s*B, B*B*, B*B-S, B*B-s*, BsBs, BsBs*, B-s*B-s* by means of vector meson exchange with Lagrangians from an extension of the local hidden gauge approach. The full s-wave scattering matrix is obtained implementing unitarity in coupled channels by means of the Bethe-Salpeter equation. We find poles below the channel thresholds for the attractively interacting channels B*B in I = 0, B-s*B – B*B-s in I = 1/2, B* B* in I = 0, and B-s*B* in I = 1/2, all of them with J(P) = 1(+). For these cases the widths are evaluated identifying the dominant source of imaginary part. We find binding energies of the order of 10-20 MeV, and the widths vary much from one system to the other: of the order of 10-100 eV for the B* B system and B-s*B – B* B-s, about 6 MeV for the B*B* system and of the order of 0.5 MeV for the B-s*B* system.

Abstract: We determine the quark mass dependence-light and heavy-of the D*s0(2317) and Ds1(2460) properties, such as, mass, coupling to D(*)K, scattering lengths and compositeness, from a global analysis I = 0 for different boosts and two pion masses. The formalism is based in the local hidden-gauge interaction of Weinberg-Tomozawa type which respects both chiral and heavy quark spin symmetries, supplemented by a term that takes into account the D(*)K coupling to a bare cs<overline> component. The isospin violating decay of the D*s0(2317) -> D+s pi 0 is also evaluated.

Abstract: From a picture of the X(3872) where the resonance is a bound state of D (D) over bar*- c.c., we evaluate the decay width into the J/psi gamma channel, which is sensitive to the internal structure of this state. For this purpose we evaluate the loops through which the X(3872) decays into its components, and the J/psi and the photon are radiated from these components. We use the local hidden gauge approach extrapolated to SU(4) with a particular SU(4) breaking. The radiative decay involves anomalous couplings, and we obtain acceptable values which are compared to experiments and results of other calculations. Simultaneously, we evaluate the decay rate for the X(3872) into J/psi omega and J/psi rho, and the results obtained for the ratio of these decay widths are compatible with the experiment. We also show that considering only the (D) over bar D-0*(0) – c.c. component in the radiative decay reduces the partial decay width in more than three orders of magnitude, in large discrepancy with experiment.
