Observation of the decay (B)over-bar(s)(0) -> chi(c2) K+K- in the phi mass region. J. High Energy Phys., 08(8), 191–20pp. Abstract: The (B) over bar (0)(s) -> chi(c2) K+ K- decay mode is observed and its branching fraction relative to the corresponding chi(c1) decay mode, in a +/- 15MeV/c(2) window around the phi mass, is found to be B ((B) over bar (0)(s) -> chi(c2) K+ K-)/B((B) over bar (0)(s) -> chi(c1) K+ K-) = (17.1 +/- 3.1 +/- 0.4 +/- 0.9)% where the fi rst uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third due to the knowledge of the branching fractions of radiative chi(c) decays. The decay mode (B) over bar (0)(s) -> chi(c1) K+ K- allows the B-s(0) mass to be measured as m(B-s(0)) = 5366.83 +/- 0.25 +/- 0.27MeV/c(2), where the fi rst uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. A combination of this result with other LHCb determinations of the B-s(0) mass is made. Measurement of the eta(c)(1S) production cross-section in p p collisions at root s=13TeV. Eur. Phys. J. C, 80(3), 191–18pp. Abstract: Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0 fb-1, collected by the LHCb experiment, the production of the.c(1S) state in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of v s = 13 TeVis studied in the rapidity range 2.0 < y < 4.5 and in the transverse momentum range 6.5 < pT < 14.0GeV. The cross-section for prompt production of.c(1S) mesons relative to that of the J/. meson is measured using the p p decay mode and is found to be s.c(1S)/sJ/. = 1.69 +/- 0.15 +/- 0.10 +/- 0.18. The quoted uncertainties are, in order, statistical, systematic and due to uncertainties on the branching fractions of the J/.. p p and.c. p p decays. The prompt.c(1S) production cross-section is determined to be s.c( 1S) = 1.26 +/- 0.11 +/- 0.08 +/- 0.14 μb, where the last uncertainty includes that on the J/. meson cross-section. The ratio of the branching fractions of b-hadron decays to the.c(1S) and J/. states is measured to be Bb..c X /Bb. J/. X = 0.48 +/- 0.03 +/- 0.03 +/- 0.05, where the last uncertainty is due to those on the branching fractions of the J/.. p p and.c. p p decays. The difference between the J/. and.c(1S) masses is also determined to be 113.0 +/- 0.7 +/- 0.1MeV, which is the most precise single measurement of this quantity to date. https://references.ific.uv.es/refbase/show.php?record=4398

C, 80(3), 185–23pp. Abstract: The cross-sections of.(2S) meson production in proton-proton collisions at v s = 13 TeV are measured with a data sample collected by the LHCb detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 275 pb-1. The production cross-sections for prompt.(2S) mesons and those for.(2S) mesons from b-hadron decays (.(2S)-from-b) are determined as functions of the transverse momentum, pT, and the rapidity, y, of the.(2S) meson in the kinematic range 2 < pT < 20 GeV/c and 2.0 < y < 4.5. The production cross-sections integrated over this kinematic region are s(prompt.(2S), 13 TeV) = 1.430 +/- 0.005 (stat) +/- 0.099 (syst) μb, s(.(2S)-from-b, 13 TeV) = 0.426 +/- 0.002 (stat) +/- 0.030 (syst) μb. A new measurement of.(2S) production cross-sections in pp collisions at v s = 7 TeV is also performed using data collected in 2011, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 614 pb-1. The integrated production cross-sections in the kinematic range 3.5 < pT < 14 GeV/c and 2.0 < y < 4.5 are s(prompt.(2S), 7 TeV) = 0.471 +/- 0.001 (stat) +/- 0.025 (syst) μb, s(.(2S)-from-b, 7 TeV) = 0.126 +/- 0.001 (stat) +/- 0.008 (syst) μb. A measurement of the CP asymmetry difference between Lambda(+)(C) -> pK(-)K(+) and p pi(-)pi(+) decays. J. High Energy Phys., 03(3), 182–21pp. Abstract: The difference between the CP asymmetries in the decays Lambda(+)(C) -> pK(-)K(+) and Lambda(+)(C) -> p pi(-)pi(+) is presented. Proton-proton collision data taken at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV collected by the LHCb detector in 2011 and 2012 are used, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). The Lambda(+)(C) candidates are reconstructed as part of the Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda(+)(c)mu X- decay chain. In order to maximize the cancellation of production and detection asymmetries in the difference, the final-state kinematic distributions of the two samples are aligned by applying phase-space-dependent weights to the Lambda(+)(C) -> pK(-)K(+) sample. This alters the definition of the integrated CP asymmetry to A(CP)(wgt)(p pi(-)pi(+)). Both samples are corrected for reconstruction and selection efficiencies across the five-dimensional Lambda(+)(C) decay phase space. The difference in CP asymmetries is found to be Delta A(CP)(wgt) = A(CP)(pK(-)K(+)) – A(CP)(wgt)(p pi(-)pi(+)) = (0.30 +/- 0.91 +/- 0.61) %, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. High Energy Phys., 06(6), 177–30pp. Abstract:* The first full angular analysis of the B0 -> D-Ds+ decay is performed using 6 fb(-1) of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The Ds+-> Ds+gamma and D- -> D<overbar></mml:mover>0- vector meson decays are used with the subsequent Ds+ -> K+K-pi (+) and D<overbar></mml:mover>0 -> K+pi (-) decays. All helicity amplitudes and phases are measured, and the longitudinal polarisation fraction is determined to be f(L) = 0.578 +/- 0.010 +/- 0.011 with world-best precision, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The pattern of helicity amplitude magnitudes is found to align with expectations from quark-helicity conservation in B decays. The ratio of branching fractions [B(B0 -> D-Ds+) x B(Ds+-> Ds+gamma)]/B(B-0 -> D(-)Ds+) is measured to be 2.045 +/- 0.022 +/- 0.071 with world-best precision. In addition, the first observation of the Cabibbo-suppressed B-s -> D(-)Ds+ decay is made with a significance of seven standard deviations.
