  Abstract We study the interaction of the doubly bottom systems BB, B*B, BsB, B-s*B, B*B*, B*B-S, B*B-s*, BsBs, BsBs*, B-s*B-s* by means of vector meson exchange with Lagrangians from an extension of the local hidden gauge approach. The full s-wave scattering matrix is obtained implementing unitarity in coupled channels by means of the Bethe-Salpeter equation. We find poles below the channel thresholds for the attractively interacting channels B*B in I = 0, B-s*B – B*B-s in I = 1/2, B* B* in I = 0, and B-s*B* in I = 1/2, all of them with J(P) = 1(+). For these cases the widths are evaluated identifying the dominant source of imaginary part. We find binding energies of the order of 10-20 MeV, and the widths vary much from one system to the other: of the order of 10-100 eV for the B* B system and B-s*B – B* B-s, about 6 MeV for the B*B* system and of the order of 0.5 MeV for the B-s*B* system.

  Title Dynamical generation of the scalar f0(500), f0(980), and K0*(700) resonances in the Ds+ → K+ π+ π- reaction Type Journal Article

  Abstract We develop a model aimed at understanding the three mass distributions of pairs of mesons in the Cabibbo-suppressed D-s(+) – K+pi(+)pi(-) decay recently measured with high statistics by the BESIII collaboration. The largest contributions to the process come from the D-s(+) -> K+ rho(0) and D-s(+) -> K*(0)pi(+) decay modes, but the D-s(+) -> K-0*(1430)pi(+) and D-s(+) -> K+ f(0) (1370) modes also play a moderate role and all of them are introduced empirically. Instead, the contribution of the f(0)(500), f(0)(980) , and K-0*(700) resonances is introduced dynamically by looking at the decay modes at the quark level, hadronizing q (q) over bar over bar pairs to give two mesons, and allowing these mesons to interact, for which we follow the chiral unitary approach, to finally produce the K+ pi(+) pi(-) final state. While the general features of the mass distributions are fairly obtained, we pay special attention to the specific effects created by the light scalar resonances, which are visible in the low mass region of the pi(+) pi(-) (f(0)(500) and K+ pi(-) K+pi-(K-0*(700)) mass distributions and a narrow peak for pi(+) pi(-) distribution corresponding to f(0)(980) excitation. The contribution of these three resonances is generated by only one parameter. We see the agreement found in these regions as further support for the nature of the light scalar states as dynamically generated from the interaction of pseudoscalar mesons.

  Abstract We perform a study of the B-(*), D-(*) scmileptonic decays, using a differcnt mcthod than in conventional approaches, where the matrix elements of the weak operators are evaluated and a detailed spin-angular momentum algebra is performed to obtain very simple expressions at the end for the different decay modes. Using only one experimental decay rate in the B or D sectors, the rates for the rest of decay modes are predicted and thcy arc in good agrcement with experiment. Somc discrepancies arc observed in the tau dccay mode for which we find an explanation. We perform evaluations for B and D' decay rates that can be used in future measurements, now possible in the LHCb Collaboration.

  Abstract We extend the theoretical framework used to describe the T-cc state as a molecular state of D* D and make predictions for the D* D* and D-s(*) D) systems, finding that they lead to bound states only in the J(P) = 1+ channel. Using input needed to describe the T-cc state, basically one parameter to regularize the loops of the Bethe-Salpeter equation, we find bound states with bindings of the order of MeVand similar widths for the D*D* system, while the D*s D-* system develops a strong cusp around the threshold.

  Abstract We study the triangle mechanism for the decay tau(-) -> nu(tau)pi(-) f(0)(980) with the f(0)(980) decaying into pi(+) pi(-). The mechanism for this process is initiated by tau(-) -> nu K-tau*(0) K- followed by the K*(0) decay into pi K--(+), then the K- K+ produce the f(0)(980) through a triangle loop containing K* K+ K- which develops a singularity around 1420 MeV in the pi f(0)(980) invariant mass. We find a narrow peak in the pi(+) pi(-) invariant mass distribution, which originates from the f(0)(980) amplitude. Similarly, we also study the triangle mechanism for the decay tau -> nu pi(-) a(0)(980), with the a(0)(980) decaying into pi(0)eta.The formalism leads to final branching ratios for pi(-) f(0)(980) and pi(-) a(0)(980) of the order of 4 x 10(-4) and 7 x 10(-5), respectively, which are within present measurable range. Experimental verification of these predictions will shed light on the nature of the scalar mesons and on the origin of the “a(1)(1420)” peak observed in other reactions.
