Abstract: The CKM angle gamma is measured for the first time from mixing-induced CP violation between Bs0 -> Ds -/+ K pi +/- pi -/+ and Bs0bar -> Ds +/- K -/+ pi -/+ pi +/- decays reconstructed in proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) recorded with the LHCb detector. A time-dependent amplitude analysis is performed to extract the CP-violating weak phase gamma – 2 beta (s) and, subsequently, gamma by taking the Bs0-Bs0bar mixing phase beta (s) as an external input. The measurement yields gamma = (44 +/- 12) degrees modulo 180 degrees, where statistical and systematic uncertainties are combined. An alternative model-independent measurement, integrating over the five-dimensional phase space of the decay, yields gamma = (44 -13+20) degrees modulo 180 degrees. Moreover, the Bs0-Bs0bar oscillation frequency is measured from the flavour-specific control channel Bs0 -> Ds- pi+ pi+ pi- to be m(s) = (17.757 +/- 0.007(stat) +/- 0.008(syst)) ps(-1), consistent with and more precise than the current world-average value.

Abstract: A search is performed in the invariant mass spectrum of the B-c(+)pi(+) pi(-) system for the excited B-c(+) states B-c (2(1)S(0)) + and B-c(2(3)S(1)) + using a data sample of p p collisions collected by the LHCb experiment at the centre- of- mass energy of root s = 8TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb(-1). No evidence is seen for either state. Upper limits on the ratios of the production cross- sections of the Bc (2(1)S(0)) + and B-c(2(3)S(1)) + states times the branching fractions of Bc (2(1)S(0))(+) -> B-c(+)pi(+) pi(-) and B-c (2(3) S-1)(+) -> B-c*(+)pi(+) pi(-) over the production cross- section of the B-c(+) state are given as a function of their masses. They are found to be between 0.02 and 0.14 at 95% con fi dence level for B-c (2(1)S(0)) + and B-c (2(3)S(1)) + in the mass ranges [6830; 6890] MeV/c(2) and [6795; 6890] MeV/c(2), respectively.

Abstract: The CKM angle gamma is determined from CP-violating observables measured in B-+/- -> D[K--/+pi(+/-)pi(+/-)pi(-/+)]h(+/-), (h = K, pi) decays, where the measurements are performed in bins of the decay phase-space of the D meson. Using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1), gamma is determined to be gamma = (54.8 (+6.0)(-5.8) (+0.6)(-0.6) (+6.7)(-4.3))degrees, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third from the external inputs on the coherence factors and strong phases of the D-meson decays.

Abstract: The B-0, B-s(0), B+ and lambda(0)(b) hadron production asymmetries are measured using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fbc(-1), collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The measurements are performed as a function of transverse momentum and rapidity of the b hadrons within the LHCb detector acceptance. The overall production asymmetries, integrated over transverse momentum and rapidity, are also determined.

Abstract: A measurement of four branching-fraction ratios for three-body decays of B mesons involving two open-charm hadrons in the final state is presented. Run 1 and Run 2 pp collision data are used, recorded by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies 7, 8, and 13 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). Abstract: A flavour-tagged decay-time-dependent amplitude analysis of B-s(0) -> (K+pi(-))(K-pi(+)) decays is presented in the K-+/-pi(-/+) mass range from 750 to 1600 MeV/c(2). The analysis uses pp collision data collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1). Several quasi-two-body decay modes are considered, corresponding to K-+/-pi(-/+) combinations with spin 0, 1 and 2, which are dominated by the K-0(*)(800)(0) and K-0(*)(1430)(0), the K*(892)(0) and the K-2(*)(1430)(0) resonances, respectively. The longitudinal polarisation fraction for the B-s(0) -> K-*(892)(0) (K*) over bar (892)(0) decay is measured as f(L) = 0.208 +/- 0.032 +/- 0.046, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The first measurement of the mixing-induced CP-violating phase in phi(d (d) over bar)(s), in b -> d (s) over bars transitions is performed, yielding a value of phi(d (d) over bar)(s)= -0.10 +/- 0.13 (stat) +/- 0.14 (syst) rad.

Abstract: A combination of measurements sensitive to the CP violation angle gamma of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitarity triangle and to the charm mixing parameters that describe oscillations between D-0 and (D) over bar (0) mesons is performed. Results from the charm and beauty sectors, based on data collected with the LHCb detector at CERN's Large Hadron Collider, are combined for the first time. This method provides an improvement on the precision of the charm mixing parameter y by a factor of two with respect to the current world average. The charm mixing parameters are determined to be x = (0.400(-0.053)(+0.052))% and y = (0.630(-0.030)(+0.033))%. The angle gamma is found to be gamma = (65.4(-4.2)(+3.8))degrees and is the most precise determination from a single experiment.

Abstract: A first search for the lepton-flavour violating decays B-0 -> K*0 tau(+/-)mu -/+ is presented. The analysis is performed using a sample of proton-proton collision data, collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV between 2011 and 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). No significant signal is observed, and upper limits on the branching fractions are determined to be B(B-0 -> K*0 tau(+)mu(-)) < 1.0 (1.2) x 10(-5) and B(B-0 -> K*0 tau(-)mu(+)) < 8.2 (9.8) x 10(-6) at the 90% (95%) confidence level.

Abstract: The shape of the B-s(0) -> D-s*mu(+)nu(mu) differential decay rate is obtained as a function of the hadron recoil parameter using proton-proton collision data at a centreof-mass energy of 13TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb detector. The B-s(0) -> D-s*(-)mu(+)nu(mu) decay is reconstructed through the decays D-s*(-) up arrow D-s(-) gamma and D-s(-) -> K-K+pi(-). The differential decay rate is fitted with the CapriniLellouch-Neubert (CLN) and Boyd-Grinstein-Lebed (BGL) parametrisations of the form factors, and the relevant quantities for both are extracted.

Abstract: An analysis of the angular distribution of the decay Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda mu(+)mu(-) is presented, using data collected with the LHCb detector between 2011 and 2016 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of approximately 5 fb(-1). Angular observables are determined using a moment analysis of the angular distribution at low hadronic recoil, corresponding to the dimuon invariant mass squared range 15 < q(2) < 20 GeV2/c(4). The full basis of observables is measured for the first time. The lepton-side, hadron-side and combined forward-backward asymmetries of the decay are determined to be A(FB)(l) = -0.39 +/- 0.04 (stat) +/- 0.01 (syst), AFB(h) = -0.30 +/- 0.05 (stat) +/- 0.02 (syst), A(FB)(lh) = +0.25 +/- 0.04 (stat) +/- 0.01 (syst). The measurements are consistent with Standard Model predictions.
