Abstract: This biennial Review summarizes much of particle physics. Using data from previous editions, plus 2658 new measurements from 644 papers, we list, evaluate, and average measured properties of gauge bosons, leptons, quarks, mesons, and baryons. We summarize searches for hypothetical particles such as Higgs bosons, heavy neutrinos, and supersymmetric particles. All the particle properties and search limits are listed in Summary Tables. We also give numerous tables, figures, formulae, and reviews of topics such as the Standard Model, particle detectors, probability, and statistics. Among the 112 reviews are many that are new or heavily revised including those on Heavy-Quark and Soft-Collinear Effective Theory, Neutrino Cross Section Measurements, Monte Carlo Event Generators, Lattice QCD, Heavy Quarkonium Spectroscopy, Top Quark, Dark Matter, V-cb & V-ub, Quantum Chromodynamics, High-Energy Collider Parameters, Astrophysical Constants, Cosmological Parameters, and Dark Matter. A booklet is available containing the Summary Tables and abbreviated versions of some of the other sections of this full Review. Abstract: A search for contact interactions has been performed using dimuon events recorded with the ATLAS detector in proton-proton collisions at root s = 7 TeV. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 42 pb(-1). No significant deviation from the standard model is observed in the dimuon mass spectrum, allowing the following 95% C. L. limits to be set on the energy scale of contact interactions: Lambda > 4: 9 TeV (4.5 TeV) for constructive (destructive) interference in the left-left isoscalar compositeness model. These limits are the most stringent to date for μμqq contact interactions.

Abstract: Using the eight time dependences e(-Gamma t)(1+C(i)cos Delta mt+S(i)sin Delta mt) for the decays Upsilon (4S) -> B-0(B) over bar (0) -> f(j)f(k), with the decay into a flavor-specific state f(j) = l(+/-)X before or after the decay into a CP eigenstate f(k) = c (c) over barK(S,L), as measured by the BABAR experiment, we determine the three CPT-sensitive parameters Re(z) and Im(z) in B-0-(B) over bar (0) mixing and vertical bar(A) over bar /A vertical bar in B-0 -> c (c) over barK(0) decays. We find Im(z) = 0.010 +/- 0.030 +/- 0.013, Re(z) = -0.065 +/- 0.028 +/- 0.014, and vertical bar(A) over bar /A vertical bar = 0.999 +/- 0.023 +/- 0.017, in agreement with CPT symmetry.

Abstract: We report measurements by the T2K experiment of the parameters theta(23) and Delta m(32)(2), which govern the disappearance of muon neutrinos and antineutrinos in the three-flavor PMNS neutrino oscillation model at T2K's neutrino energy and propagation distance. Utilizing the ability of the experiment to run with either a mainly neutrino or a mainly antineutrino beam, muon-like events from each beam mode are used to measure these parameters separately for neutrino and antineutrino oscillations. Data taken from 1.49 x 10(21) protons on target (POT) in neutrino mode and 1.64 x 10(21) POT in antineutrino mode are used. The best-fit values obtained by T2K were sin(2)(theta(23)) = 0.51(-0.07)(+0.06) (0.43(-0.05)(+0.21)) and Delta m(32)(2) = 2.47(-0.09)(+0.08) (2.50(-0.13)(+0.18)) x 10(-3) eV(2)/c(4) for neutrinos (antineutrinos). No significant differences between the values of the parameters describing the disappearance of muon neutrinos and antineutrinos were observed. An analysis using an effective two-flavor neutrino oscillation model where the sine of the mixing angle is allowed to take nonphysical values larger than 1 is also performed to check the consistency of our data with the three-flavor model. Our data were found to be consistent with a physical value for the mixing angle.

Abstract: We present a study of the inclusive D*(+/-) production in the decay of Y(1S) using (98.6 +/- 0.9) X 10(6) Y(2S) mesons collected with the BABAR detector at the Y(2S) resonance. Using the decay chain Y(2S) -> pi(+)pi Y-(1S), Y(1S) -> D*X-+/-, where X is unobserved, we measure the branching fraction B[Y(1S) -> D*X-+/-] = (2.52 +/- 0.13(stat) +/- 0.15(syst)% and the D*(+/-) momentum distribution in the rest frame of the Y(1S). We find evidence for an excess of D*+/- production over the expected rate from the virtual photon annihilation process Y(1S) -> gamma* -> c (c) over bar -> D*X-+/-.
