Abstract: We calculate the relic density of stau at the big-bang nucleosynthesis era in the coannihilation scenario of the minimal supersymmetric standard model. In this scenario, stau can be long lived and have significance in the remediation of light elements abundances. The freeze-out of stau is corroborated by solving the Boltzmann equation numerically, and the parameter dependence of the relic density is investigated. The possibility of solving the Li-7 problem is examined by taking account into the long-lived stau. By adopting an observational value of Li-7 in [J. Melendez and I. Ramirez, Astrophys. J. 615, L33 (2004).], we get minimal supersymmetric standard model parameter space in which abundances of both dark matter and all of the light elements are reproduced in accordance with observations. We also address the influence of intergenerational mixing on our calculation.

Abstract: We analyze the subleading nonresonant contributions to the e(+)e(-) -> W(+)W(-)b (b) over bar cross section at energies near the top-antitop threshold. These correspond to next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNLO) corrections with respect to the leading-order resonant result. We show that these corrections produce 1/epsilon endpoint singularities which precisely cancel the finite-width divergences arising in the resonant production of the W(+)W(-)b (b) over bar final state from on-shell decays of the top and antitop quarks at the same order. We also provide analytic results for the (m(t)/Lambda)(2), (m(t)/Lambda) and (m(t)/Lambda)(0) log Lambda terms that dominate the expansion in powers of (Lambda/m(t)) of the complete set of NNLO nonresonant corrections, where Lambda is a cut imposed on the invariant masses of the bW pairs that is neither too tight nor too loose (m(t)Gamma(t) << Lambda(2) << m(t)(2)).

Abstract: We conduct a study of the interaction of the (K) over bar Xi*, eta Omega(s-wave), and (K) over bar Xi(d-wave) channels within a coupled channel unitary approach where the transition potential between the (K) over bar Xi* and eta Omega channels is obtained from chiral Lagrangians. The transition potential between (K) over bar Xi*, eta Omega, and (K) over bar Xi is taken in terms of free parameters, which together with a cutoff to regularize the meson-baryon loops are fitted to the Omega(2012) data. We find that all data including the recent Belle experiment on Gamma(Omega*->pi(K) over bar Xi)/Gamma(Omega*->(K) over bar Xi), are compatible with the molecular picture stemming from meson baryon interaction of these channels.

Abstract: We study the D*s over bar D* system in connection with the J=psi K* in coupled channels and observe that, within reasonable values of the cutoff used to regularize the loops, the system does not develop a bound state. However, the JP = 2+ channel has enough attraction to create a strong cusp structure that shows up in the J=psi K+ invariant mass distribution in the B+ -> J=psi phi K+ decay at the D*s over bar D* threshold. Such structure is results should stimulate further measurements around this region, given the fact that cusp effects provide as valuable information on hadron dynamics as resonances themselves.

Abstract: We make a study of the omega c(3120) , one of the five omega c states observed by the LHCb Collaboration, which is well reproduced as a molecular state from the Xi*cK over bar and omega*c17 channels mostly. The state with JP = 3/2- decays to Xi cK over bar in the D wave, and we include this decay channel in our approach, as well as the effect of the Xi*c width. With all these ingredients, we determine the fraction of the omega c(3120) width that goes into Xi cK over bar K , which could be a measure of the Xi*cK over bar molecular component, but due to a relatively big binding, compared to its analogous omega(2012) state, we find only a small fraction of about 3%, which makes this measurement difficult with present statistics. As an alternative, we evaluate the scattering length and effective range of the Xi*c K over bar and omega*c17 channels, which, together with the binding and width of the omega c(3120) state, could give us an answer to the issue of the compositeness of this state when these magnitudes are determined experimentally, something feasible nowadays, for instance, measuring correlation functions.
