Abstract |
We propose a braneworld scenario in a modified symmetric teleparallel gravitational theory, where the dynamics for the gravitational field is encoded in the nonmetricity tensor rather than in the curvature. Assuming a single real scalar field with a sine-Gordon self-interaction, the generalized quadratic nonmetricity invariant Q controls the brane width while keeping the shape of the energy density. By considering power corrections of the invariant Q in the gravitational Lagrangian, the sine-Gordon potential is modified exhibiting new barriers and false vacuum. As a result, the domain wall brane obtains an inner structure, and it undergoes a splitting process. In addition, we also propose a nonminimal coupling between a bulk fermion field and the nonmetricity invariant Q. Such geometric coupling leads to a massless chiral fermion bound to the 3-brane and a stable tower of nonlocalized massive states. |

Abstract |
In addition to vector (V) type new particles extensively discussed previously, both CP-even (S) and CP-odd (P) spin-0 dark matter (DM) mediators can couple to muons and be produced in the bremsstrahlung reaction mu- + N -mu- + N + S(P). Their possible subsequent invisible decay into a pair of Dirac DM particles, S(P) -chi chi over bar , can be detected in fixed target experiments through missing energy signature. In this paper, we focus on the case of experiments using high-energy muon beams. For this reason, we derive the differential cross sections involved using the phase space Weiszacker-Williams approximation and compare them to the exact-tree-level calculations. The formalism derived can be applied in various experiments that could observe muon-spin-0 DM interactions. This can happen in present and future proton beam-dump experiments such as NA62, SHIP, HIKE, and SHADOWS; in muon fixed target experiments as NA64 mu, MUonE and M3; in neutrino experiments using powerful proton beams such as DUNE. In particular, we focus on the NA64 μexperiment case, which uses a 160 GeV muon beam at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron accelerator. We compute the derived cross sections, the resulting signal yields and we discuss the experiment projected sensitivity to probe the relic DM parameter space and the (g – 2)mu anomaly favored region considering 1011 and 1013 muons on target. |

Abstract |
A light Z0 vector boson coupled to the second and third lepton generations through the L μ- L tau current with mass below 200 MeV provides a very viable explanation in terms of new physics to the recently confirmed og – 2 thorn μanomaly. This boson can be produced in the bremsstrahlung reaction μN – μNZ0 after a high energy muon beam collides with a target. NA64 μis a fixed-target experiment using a 160 GeV muon beam from the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron accelerator looking for Z0 production and its subsequent decays, Z0 – invisible. In this paper, we present the study of the NA64 μsensitivity to search for such a boson. This includes a realistic beam simulation, a detailed description of the detectors and a discussion about the main potential background sources. A pilot run is scheduled in order to validate the simulation results. If those are confirmed, NA64 μwill be able to explore all the remaining parameter space which could provide an explanation for the g – 2 muon anomaly in the L μ- L tau model. |

Abstract |
In the present paper we describe the set of form factors for hadronic tau decays based on Resonance Chiral Theory. The technical implementation of the form factors in FORTRAN code is also explained. It is shown how it can be installed into the TAUOLA Monte Carlo program. Then it is rather easy to implement into software environments of not only Belle and BABAR collaborations but also for FORTRAN and C ++ applications of LHC. The description of the current for each tau decay mode is complemented with technical numerical tests. The set is ready for fits, paramxers to be used in fits are explained. Arrangements to work with the experimental data not requiring unfolding are prepared. Hadronic currents, ready for confrontation with the tau decay data, but not yet ready for the general use, cover more than 88% of hadronic tau decay width. |

Abstract |
Models that produce axionlike particles (ALPs) after cosmological inflation due to spontaneous U(1) symmetry breaking also produce cosmic-string networks. Those axionic strings lose energy through gravitational-wave emission during the whole cosmological history, generating a stochastic background of gravitational waves that spans many decades in frequency. We can therefore constrain the axion decay constant and axion mass from limits on the gravitational-wave spectrum and compatibility with dark matter abundance as well as dark radiation. We derive such limits from analyzing the most recent NANOGrav data from pulsar timing arrays (PTAs). The limits are similar to the Neff bounds on dark radiation for ALP masses ma less than or similar to 10-22 eV. On the other hand, for heavy ALPs with ma greater than or similar to 0.1 GeV and NDW not equal 1, new regions of parameter space can be probed by PTA data due to the dominant domain-wall contribution to the gravitational-wave background. |

Abstract |
A general method for classifying the possible quark models of a multi-Higgs-doublet model, in the presence of Abelian symmetries, is presented. All the possible sets of textures that can be present in a given sector are shown, thus turning the determination of the flavor models into a combinatorial problem. Several symmetry implementations are studied for two and three Higgs doublet models. Some models' implementations are explored in great detail, with a particular emphasis on models known as Branco-Grimus-Lavoura and nearest-neighbor-interaction. Several considerations on the flavor changing neutral currents of multi-Higgs models are also given. |

Abstract |
While standard solar model (SSM) predictions depend on approximately 20 input parameters, SSM neutrino flux predictions are strongly correlated with a single model output parameter, the core temperature T-c. Consequently, one can extract physics from solar neutrino flux measurements while minimizing the consequences of SSM uncertainties, by studying flux ratios with appropriate power-law weightings tuned to cancel this T-c dependence. We reexamine an idea for constraining the primordial C + N content of the solar core from a ratio of CN-cycle O-15 to pp-chain B-8 neutrino fluxes, showing that non-nuclear SSM uncertainties in the ratio are small and effectively governed by a single parameter, the diffusion coefficient. We point out that measurements of both CN-I cycle neutrino branches-O-15 and N-13 beta-decay-could, in principle, lead to separate determinations of the core C and N abundances, due to out-of-equilibrium CN-cycle burning in the cooler outer layers of the solar core. Finally, we show that the strategy of constructing “minimum uncertainty” neutrino flux ratios can also test other properties of the SSM. In particular, we demonstrate that a weighted ratio of Be-7 and B-8 fluxes constrains a product of S-factors to the same precision currently possible with laboratory data. |

Abstract |
We study the semileptonic decays of D-s(+), D+, and D-0 mesons into the light scalar mesons [f(0)(500), K-0(*)(800), f(0)(980), and a(0)(980)] and the light vector mesons [rho(770), omega(782), K-*(892), and phi(1020)]. With the help of a chiral unitarity approach in coupled channels, we compute the branching fractions for scalar meson processes of the semileptonic D decays in a simple way. Using current known values of the branching fractions, we make predictions for the branching fractions of the semileptonic decay modes with other scalar and vector mesons. Furthermore, we calculate the pi(+)pi(-), pi eta, pi K, and K+K- invariant mass distributions in the semileptonic decays of D mesons, which will help us clarify the nature of the light scalar mesons. |

Abstract |
The 2 nu-mediated force has a range of microns, well beyond the atomic scale. The effective potential is built from the t-channel absorptive part of the scattering amplitude and depends on neutrino properties on shell. We demonstrate that neutral aggregate matter has a weak charge and calculate the matrix of six coherent charges for its interaction with definite-mass neutrinos. Near the range of the potential the neutrino pair is nonrelativistic, leading to observable absolute mass and Dirac/Majorana distinction via different r-dependence and violation of the weak equivalence principle. |

Abstract |
We report a measurement of inclusive charged current interactions of muon neutrinos on carbon with an average energy of 0.8 GeV using the Fermilab Booster Neutrino Beam. We compare our measurement with two neutrino interaction simulations: NEUT and NUANCE. The charged current interaction rates (product of flux and cross section) are extracted by fitting the muon kinematics, with a precision of 6%-15% for the energy dependent and 3% for the energy integrated analyses. We also extract charged current inclusive interaction cross sections from the observed rates, with a precision of 10%-30% for the energy dependent and 8% for the energy integrated analyses. This is the first measurement of the charged current inclusive cross section on carbon around 1 GeV. These results can be used to convert previous SciBooNE cross-section ratio measurements to absolute cross-section values. |
