Abstract |
We have performed a calculation of the D (D) over bar, D (D) over bar*, D*(D) over bar, D*(D) over bar* components in the wave function of the psi(3770). For this we make use of the P-3(0) model to find the coupling of psi(3770) to these components, that with an elaborate angular momentum algebra can be obtained with only one parameter. Then we use data for the e(+)e(-) -> D (D) over bar reaction, from where we determine a form factor needed in the theoretical framework, as well as other parameters needed to evaluate the meson-meson self-energy of the psi(3770). Once this is done we determine the Z probability to still have a vector core and the probability to have the different meson components. We find Z about 80%-85%, and the individual meson-meson components are rather small, providing new empirical information to support the largely q (q) over bar component of vector mesons, and the psi(3770) in particular. A discussion is done of the meaning of the terms obtained for the case of the open channels where the concept of probability cannot be strictly used. |

Abstract |
A new model-independent parametrization is proposed for the hadronic form factors in the semileptonic (B) over bar -> Dl (nu) over bar (l) decay. By a combined consideration of the recent experimental and lattice QCD data, we determine precisely the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element vertical bar V-cb vertical bar = 41.01(75) x 10(-3) and the ratio R-D = BR((B) over bar -> D tau(nu) over bar (tau))/BR((B) over bar -> Dl (nu) over bar (l)) = 0.301(5). The coefficients in this parametrization, related to phase shifts by sumrulelike dispersion relations and hence called phase moments, encode important scattering information of the (B) over bar (D) over bar interactions which are poorly known so far. Thus, we give strong hints about the existence of at least one bound and one virtual (B) over bar (D) over bar S-wave 0(+) states, subject to uncertainties produced by potentially sizable inelastic effects. This formalism is also applicable for any other semileptonic processes induced by the weak b -> c transition. |

Abstract |
We calculate the nucleon axial form factor up to the leading one-loop order in a covariant chiral effective field theory with the Delta(1232) resonance as an explicit degree of freedom. We fit the axial form factor to the latest lattice QCD data and pin down the relevant low-energy constants. The lattice QCD data, for various pion masses below 400 MeV, can be well described up to a momentum transfer of similar to 0.6 GeV. The Delta(1232) loops contribute significantly to this agreement. Furthermore, we extract the axial charge and radius based on the fitted values of the low-energy constants. The results are g(A) = 1.237(74) and < r(A)(2)> = 0.263(38) fm(2). The obtained coupling g(A) is consistent with the experimental value if the uncertainty is taken into account. The axial radius is below but in agreement with the recent extraction from neutrino quasielastic scattering data on deuterium, which has large error bars. Up to our current working accuracy, r(A) is predicted only at leading order, i.e., the one-loop level. A more precise determination might need terms of O(p(5)). |

Abstract |
Weak pion production off the nucleon at low energies has been systematically investigated in manifestly relativistic baryon chiral perturbation theory with explicit inclusion of the Delta(1232) resonance. Most of the involved low-energy constants have been previously determined in other processes such as pion-nucleon elastic scattering and electromagnetic pion production off the nucleon. For numerical estimates, the few remaining constants are set to be of natural size. As a result, the total cross sections for single pion production on neutrons and protons, induced either by neutrino or antineutrino, are predicted. Our results are consistent with the scarce existing experimental data except in the nu(mu)n -> mu(-)n pi(+) channel, where higher-order contributions might still be significant. The Delta resonance mechanisms lead to sizeable contributions in all channels, especially in nu(mu)p -> mu(-) p pi(+), even though the considered energies are close to the production threshold. The present study provides a well-founded low-energy benchmark for phenomenological models aimed at the description of weak pion production processes in the broad kinematic range of interest for current and future neutrino-oscillation experiments. |

Abstract |
We calculate the masses and sigma terms of the doubly charmed baryons up to next-to-next-to-next-toleading order [i.e., O(p(4))] in a covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory by using the extended-on-mass-shell renormalization scheme. Their expressions both in infinite and finite volumes are provided for chiral extrapolation in lattice QCD. As a first application, our chiral results of the masses are confronted with the existing lattice QCD data in the presence of finite-volume corrections. Up to O(p(3)), all relevant low-energy constants can be well determined. As a consequence, we obtain the physical values for the masses of Xi(cc) and Omega(cc) baryons by extrapolating to the physical limit. Our determination of the Xi(cc) mass is consistent with the recent experimental value by LHCb Collaboration, however, larger than the one by SELEX Collaboration. In addition, we predict the pion-baryon and strangeness-baryon sigma terms, as well as the mass splitting between the Xi(cc) and Omega(cc) states. Their quark mass dependences are also discussed. The numerical procedure can be applied to the chiral results of O(p(4)) order, where more unknown constants are involved, when more data are available for unphysical pion masses. |

Abstract |
Quantum chromodynamics presents a series of exact and approximate symmetries which can be exploited to predict new hadrons from previously known ones. The Z(c)(3900) and Z(c)(4020), which have been theorized to be isovector D*(D) over bar and D*(D) over bar* molecules [I-G(J(PC)) = 1(-)(1)(+-))], are no exception. Here we argue that from SU(3)-flavor symmetry, we should expect the existence of strange partners of the Z(c)'s with hadronic molecular configurations D*(D) over bar (s) – D (D) over bar*(s) and D*(D) over bar*(s) (or, equivalently, quark content c (c) over bars (q) over bar, with q = u, d). The quantum numbers of these Z(cs) and Z(cs)* structures would be I(J(P)) = 1/2 (1(+)). The predicted masses of these partners depend on the details of the theoretical scheme used, but they should be around the D*(D) over bar (s) – D (D) over bar*(s) and D*(D) over bar*(s) thresholds, respectively. Moreover, any of these states could be either a virtual pole or a resonance. We show that, together with a possible triangle singularity contribution, such a picture nicely agrees with the very recent BESIII data of the e(+)e(-) -> K+((Ds-D*0) + D*D--(s)0). |

Abstract |
Coupled dark matter-dark energy scenarios arc modeled via a dimensionless parameter xi, which controls the strength of their interaction. While this coupling is commonly assumed to be constant, there is no underlying physical law or symmetry that forbids a time-dependent xi parameter. The most general and complete interacting scenarios between the two dark sectors should therefore allow for such a possibility, and it is the main purpose of this study to constrain two possible and well-motivated coupled cosmologies by means of the most recent and accurate early- and late-time universe observations. We find that CMB data alone prefer xi(z) > 0 and therefore a smaller amount of dark matter, alleviating some crucial and well-known cosmological data tensions. An objective assessment of the Bayesian evidence for the coupled models explored here shows no particular preference for the presence of a dynamical dark sector coupling. |

Abstract |
In this paper we explore possible extensions of interacting dark energy cosmologies, where dark energy and dark matter interact nongravitationally with one another. In particular, we focus on the neutrino sector, analyzing the effect of both neutrino masses and the effective number of neutrino species. We consider the Planck 2018 legacy release data combined with several other cosmological probes, finding no evidence for new physics in the dark radiation sector. The current neutrino constraints from cosmology should therefore be regarded as robust, as they are not strongly dependent on the dark sector physics, once all the available observations are combined. Namely, we find a total neutrino mass g, < 0.15 eV and a number of effective relativistic degrees of freedom N-eff = 3.03(-0.33)(+0.33), both at 95% C.L., which are close to those obtained within the ACDM cosmology, M-v < 0.12 eV and N-eff = (+0.36)(-0.35), for the same data combination. |

Abstract |
We investigate generalized interacting dark matter-dark energy scenarios with a time-dependent coupling parameter, allowing also for freedom in the neutrino sector. The models are tested in the phantom and quintessence regimes, characterized by equations of state, w(x) < -1 and w(x) > -1, respectively. Our analyses show that for some of the scenarios, the existing tensions on the Hubble constant H-0 and on the clustering parameter S-8 can be significantly alleviated. The relief is either due to (a) a dark energy component which lies within the phantom region or (b) the presence of a dynamical coupling in quintessence scenarios. The inclusion of massive neutrinos into the interaction schemes does not affect either the constraints on the cosmological parameters or the bounds on the total number or relativistic degrees of freedom N-eff, which are found to be extremely robust and, in general, strongly consistent with the canonical prediction N-eff = 3.045. The most stringent bound on the total neutrino mass M-nu is M-nu, < 0.116 eV and it is obtained within a quintessence scenario in which the matter mass-energy density is only mildly affected by the presence of a dynamical dark sector coupling. |

Abstract |
We show that the K-2*(1430), K-3*(1780), K-4*(2045), K-5*(2380), and a not-yet-discovered K-6* resonance are basically molecules made of an increasing number of rho(770) and one K*(892) mesons. The idea relies on the fact that the vector-vector interaction in the s wave with spins aligned is very strong for both rho rho and K*rho. We extend a recent work, where several resonances showed up as multi-rho(770) molecules, to the strange sector including the K*(892) into the system. The resonant structures show up in the multibody scattering amplitudes, which are evaluated in terms of the unitary two-body vector-vector scattering amplitudes by using the fixed center approximation to the Faddeev equations. |
