Title Measurement of the spectral function for the tau(-) -> K- K(S)v(tau) decay Type Journal Article
Year 2018 Publication Physical Review D Abbreviated Journal Phys. Rev. D
  Volume 98 Issue 3 Pages 032010 - 11pp
  Keywords
Abstract The decay tau(-) -> K- K(S)v(tau) has been studied using 430 x 10(6) e(+) e(-) -> tau(+) tau(-) events produced at a center-of-mass energy around 10.6 GeV at the PEP-II collider and studied with the BABAR detector. The mass spectrum of the K- K-S system has been measured and the spectral function has been obtained. The measured branching fraction B(tau(-) -> K- K(S)v(tau)) = (0.739 +/- 0.011 (stat) +/- 0.020 (syst)) x 10(-3) is found to be in agreement with earlier measurements.

Title Search for the decay mode B-0 -> pp(p)over-bar (p)over-bar Type Journal Article
Year 2018 Publication Physical Review D Abbreviated Journal Phys. Rev. D
  Volume 98 Issue 7 Pages 071102 - 7pp
  Keywords
Abstract A search is presented for the four-body decay B-0 -> pp (p) over bar (p) over bar in a sample of 471 million B (B) over bar pairs collected with the BABAR detector, operated at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy e(+) e(-) collider. The center-of-mass energy is 10.58 GeV. From a fit to the distribution of the energy-substituted mass m(ES), the branching fraction B(B-0 -> pp (p) over bar (p) over bar) = (1.1 +/- 0.5 +/- 0.2) x 10(-7) is extracted, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The significance of the signal, including the systematic uncertainty, is 2.9 standard deviations. The upper limit on the branching fraction is determined to be 2.0 x 10(-7) at 90% confidence level.

Title Measurement of the gamma*gamma* -> eta ' transition form factor Type Journal Article
Year 2018 Publication Physical Review D Abbreviated Journal Phys. Rev. D
  Volume 98 Issue 11 Pages 112002 - 11pp
  Keywords
Abstract We study the process e(+)e(-) -> e(+)e(-)eta' in the double-tag mode and measure for the first time the gamma*gamma* -> eta' transition form factor F-eta'(Q(1)(2), Q(2)(2)) in the momentum-transfer range 2 < Q(1)(2), Q(2)(2) < 60 GeV2. The analysis is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of around 469 fb(-1) collected at the PEP-II e(+)e(-) collider with the BABAR detector at center-of-mass energies near 10.6 GeV.

Title Study of the reactions e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-)pi(0)pi(0)pi(0) and pi(+)pi(-) pi(0)pi(0)eta at center-of-mass energies from threshold to 4.35 GeV using initial-state radiation Type Journal Article
Year 2018 Publication Physical Review D Abbreviated Journal Phys. Rev. D
  Volume 98 Issue 11 Pages 112015 - 23pp
  Keywords
Abstract We study the processes e(+)e--> pi(+)pi(-)pi(0)pi(0)pi(0)gamma and pi(+)pi(-)pi(0)pi(0)eta gamma in which an energetic photon is radiated from the initial state. The data are collected with the BABAR detector at SLAC. About 14 000 and 4700 events, respectively, are selected from a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 469 fb(-1). The invariant mass of the hadronic final state defines the effective e(+)e(-) center-of-mass energy. From the mass spectra, the first precise measurement of the e(+)e--> pi(+)pi(-)pi(0)pi(0)pi(0) cross section and the first measurement ever of the e(+)e--> pi(+)pi(-)pi(0)pi(0)pi(0)eta cross section are performed. The center-of-mass energies range from threshold to 4.35 GeV. The systematic uncertainty is typically between 10% and 13%. The contributions from omega pi(0)pi(0), eta pi(+)pi(-) and other intermediate states are presented. We observe the J/psi and psi(2S) in most of these final states and measure the corresponding branching fractions, many of them for the first time.

Title Cross sections for the reactions e(+)e(-) -> (KSKL0)-K-0 pi(0), (KSKL0)-K-0 eta, and (KSKL0)-K-0 pi(0)pi(0) from events with initial-state radiation Type Journal Article
Year 2017 Publication Physical Review D Abbreviated Journal Phys. Rev. D

  Keywords
Abstract We study the processes e(+)e(-) -> (KSKL0)-K-0 pi(0)gamma, (KSKL0)-K-0 eta gamma, and (KSKL0)-K-0 pi(0)pi(0)gamma, where the photon is radiated from the initial state, providing cross section measurements for the hadronic final states over a continuum of center-of-mass energies. The results are based on 469 fb(-1) of data collected at or near the psi(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at SLAC. We present the first measurements of the e(+)e(-) -> (KSKL0)-K-0 pi(0), (KSKL0)-K-0 eta, and (KSKL0)-K-0 pi(0)pi(0) cross sections up to a center-of-mass energy of 4 GeV and study their intermediate resonance structures. We observe J/psi decays to all of these final states for the first time, present measurements of their J/psi branching fractions, and search for psi(2S)decays.
