Abstract |
We measure the mass difference Delta m(0) between the D*(2010)(+) and the D-0 and the natural linewidth Gamma of the transition D*(2010)(+) -> D-0 pi(+). The data were recorded with the BABAR detector at center-of-mass energies at and near the gamma(4S) resonance, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of approximately 477 fb(-1). The D-0 is reconstructed in the decay modes D-0 -> K-pi(+) and D-0 -> K-pi(+) and D-0 -> K-pi(+)pi(-)pi(+). For the decay mode D-0 -> K-pi(+) we obtain Gamma = (83.4 +/- 1.7 +/- 1.5) keV and Delta m(0) = (145425.6 +/- 0.6 +/- 18) keV, where the quoted errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. For the D-0 -> K-pi(+)pi(-)pi(+) mode we obtain Gamma = (83.2 +/- 1.5 +/- 2.6) keV and Delta m(0) = (145426.6 +/- 0.5 +/- 2.0) keV. The combined measurements yield Gamma = (83.3 +/- 1.2 +/- 1.4) keV and Delta m(0) (145425.9 +/- 0.4 +/- 1.7) keV; the width is a factor of approximately 12 times more precise than the previous value, while the mass difference is a factor of approximately 6 times more precise. |

Abstract |
We introduce a novel class of signatures-spectral edges and end points-in 21-cm measurements resulting from interactions between the standard and dark sectors. Within the context of a kinetically mixed dark photon, we demonstrate how resonant dark photon-to-photon conversions can imprint distinctive spectral features in the observed 21-cm brightness temperature, with implications for current, upcoming, and proposed experiments targeting the cosmic dawn and the dark ages. These signatures open up a qualitatively new way to look for physics beyond the Standard Model using 21-cm observations. |

Abstract |
We have searched for periodic variations of the electronic recoil event rate in the (2-6) keVenergy range recorded between February 2011 and March 2012 with the XENON100 detector, adding up to 224.6 live days in total. Following a detailed study to establish the stability of the detector and its background contributions during this run, we performed an unbinned profile likelihood analysis to identify any periodicity up to 500 days. We find a global significance of less than 1 sigma for all periods, suggesting no statistically significant modulation in the data. While the local significance for an annual modulation is 2.8 sigma, the analysis of a multiple-scatter control sample and the phase of the modulation disfavor a dark matter interpretation. The DAMA/LIBRA annual modulation interpreted as a dark matter signature with axial-vector coupling of weakly interacting massive particles to electrons is excluded at 4.8 sigma. |

Abstract |
We explore the possibility of very heavy dibaryons with three charm quarks and three beauty quarks, bbbccc, using a constituent model which should lead to the correct solution in the limit of hadrons made of heavy quarks. The six-body problem is treated rigorously, in particular taking into account the orbital, color, and spin mixed-symmetry components of the wave function. Unlike a recent claim based on lattice QCD, no bound state is found below the lowest dissociation threshold. |

Abstract |
We discuss the interpretation of the detected signal by pulsar timing array (PTA) observations as a gravitational wave background of cosmological origin. We combine NANOGrav 15-years and EPTADR2new datasets and confront them against backgrounds from supermassive black hole binaries (SMBHBs), and cosmological signals from inflation, cosmic (super)strings, first-order phase transitions, Gaussian and non-Gaussian large scalar fluctuations, and audible axions. We find that scalar-induced, and to a lesser extent audible axion and cosmic superstring signals, provide a better fit than SMBHBs. These results depend, however, on modeling assumptions, so further data and analysis are needed to reach robust conclusions. Independently of the signal origin, the data strongly constrain the parameter space of cosmological signals, for example, setting an upper bound on primordial non-Gaussianity at PTA scales as jfnlj less than or similar to 2.34 at 95% C.L. |
