Title Prediction of Narrow N* and Lambda* Resonances with Hidden Charm above 4 GeV Type Journal Article

Volume 105 Issue 23 Pages 232001 - 4pp

Abstract (up) The interaction between various charmed mesons and charmed baryons is studied within the framework of the coupled-channel unitary approach with the local hidden gauge formalism. Several meson-baryon dynamically generated narrow N* and Lambda* resonances with hidden charm are predicted with mass above 4 GeV and width smaller than 100 MeV. The predicted new resonances definitely cannot be accommodated by quark models with three constituent quarks and can be looked for in the forthcoming PANDA/FAIR experiments.

Title Dynamically generated N* and Lambda* resonances in the hidden charm sector around 4.3 GeV Type Journal Article

Abstract (up) The interactions of (D) over bar Sigma(c)-(D) over bar Lambda(c), (D) over bar*Sigma(c)-(D) over bar*Lambda(c), and related strangeness channels, are studied within the framework of the coupled-channel unitary approach with the local hidden gauge formalism. A series of meson-baryon dynamically generated relatively narrow N* and Lambda* resonances are predicted around 4.3 GeV in the hidden charm sector. We make estimates of production cross sections of these predicted resonances in (p) over barp collisions for the experiment of antiproton annihilation at Darmstadt (PANDA) at the forthcoming GSI Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) facility.

Title Kaon-induced Lambda(1405) production on a deuteron target at DAFNE Type Journal Article
Year 2011 Publication European Physical Journal A Abbreviated Journal Eur. Phys. J. A
Volume 47 Issue 3 Pages 42 - 7pp
Keywords
Abstract (up) The K-- induced production of.(1405) in the K(-)d -> pi Sigma n reaction is investigated having in mind the conditions of the DAFNE facility at Frascati where kaons are obtained from the decay of slow-moving phi mesons. We find that the K(-)d -> Lambda(1405)n process favors the production of Lambda(1405) initiated by the K(-)p channel, which gives largest weight to the higher mass Lambda(1405) appearing at 1420MeV in chiral theories. We find that the fastest kaons from the decay of the phi are well suited to see this resonance, particularly if one selects forward going neutrons in the center of mass, which reduce the contribution of single scattering and make the double scattering dominate where the signal of the resonance appears clearer.

Title Correlation functions for the N*(1535) and the inverse problem Type Journal Article
Year 2024 Publication Physical Review D Abbreviated Journal Phys. Rev. D
Volume 109 Issue 5 Pages 054002 - 10pp
Keywords
Abstract (up) The N*(1535) can be dynamically generated in the chiral unitary approach with the coupled channels, K0E+; K+E0; K+A, and eta p. In this work, we evaluate the correlation functions for every channel and face the inverse problem. Assuming the correlation functions to correspond to real measurements, we conduct a fit to the data within a general framework in order to extract the information contained in these correlation functions. The bootstrap method is used to determine the uncertainties of the different observables, and we find that, assuming errors of the same order than in present measurements of correlation functions, one can determine the scattering length and effective range of all channels with a very good accuracy. Most remarkable is the fact that the method predicts the existence of a bound state of isospin 12 nature around the mass of the N*(1535) with an accuracy of 6 MeV. These results should encourage the actual measurement of these correlation functions (only the K+A one is measured so far), which can shed valuable light on the relationship of the N*(1535) state to these coupled channels, a subject of continuous debate.

Title Transparency ratio in gamma A -> eta ' A ' and the in-medium eta ' width Type Journal Article
Year 2012 Publication Physics Letters B Abbreviated Journal Phys. Lett. B
Volume 710 Issue 4-5 Pages 600-606
Keywords
Abstract (up) The photoproduction of eta'-mesons off different nuclei has been measured with the CBELSA/TAPS detector system for incident photon energies between 1500-2200 MeV. The transparency ratio has been deduced and compared to theoretical calculations describing the propagation of eta'-mesons in nuclei. The comparison indicates a width of the eta'-meson of the order of Gamma = 15-25 MeV at rho = rho(0) for an average momentum p(eta') = 1050 MeV/c, at which the eta'-meson is produced in the nuclear rest frame. The inelastic eta'N cross section is estimated to be 3-10 mb. Parameterizing the photoproduction cross section of eta'-mesons by sigma(A) = sigma(0)A(alpha), a value of alpha = 0.84 +/- 0.03 has been deduced.
