Abstract: A study of prompt Xi(+)(c) production in proton-lead collisions is performed with the LHCb experiment at a centerof-mass energy per nucleon pair of 8.16 TeV in 2016 in pPb and Pbp collisions with an estimated integrated luminosity of approximately 12.5 and 17.4 nb(-1), respectively. The Xi(+)(c) roduction cross section, as well as the Xi(+)(c) to Lambda(+)(c) production cross-section ratio, are measured as a function of the transverse momentum and rapidity and compared to the latest theory predictions. The forward-backward asymmetry is also measured as a function of the Xi(+)(c) ransverse momentum. The results provide strong constraints on theoretical calculation and are a unique input for hadronization studies in different collision systems.

Abstract: A study of B-c(+) -> chi(c) pi(+) decays is reported using proton-proton collision data, collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The decay B-c(+) -> chi(c2)pi(+) is observed for the first time, with a significance exceeding seven standard deviations. The relative branching fraction with respect to the B-c(+) -> J/psi pi(+) decay is measured to be BBc+ ->chi c2 pi+/BBc+ -> (J/psi pi+) = 0.37 +/- 0.06 +/- 0.02 +/- 0.01, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is due to the knowledge of the chi(c2) -> J/psi gamma branching fraction. No significant B-c(+) -> chi(+)(c1 pi) signal is observed and an upper limit for the relative branching fraction for the B-c(+) -> chi(c1)pi(+) and B-c(+) -> chi(c2)pi(+) decays of BBc+ ->chi c1 pi+/BBc+ -> chi(c2)pi(+) < 0.49 is set at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: A simultaneous analysis of the B thorn & RARR; K thorn e thorn e- and B0 & RARR; K & DBLBOND;0e thorn e- decays is performed to test muonelectron universality in two ranges of the square of the dilepton invariant mass, q2. The measurement uses a sample of beauty meson decays produced in proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb detector between 2011 and 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb-1. A sequence of multivariate selections and strict particle identification requirements produce a higher signal purity and a better statistical sensitivity per unit luminosity than previous LHCb lepton universality tests using the same decay modes. Residual backgrounds due to misidentified hadronic decays are studied using data and included in the fit model. Each of the four lepton universality measurements reported is either the first in the given q2 interval or supersedes previous LHCb measurements. The results are compatible with the predictions of the Standard Model.

Abstract: A search for the very rare D^{0}mu^{+}mu^{-} decay is performed using data collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=7, 8, and 13TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9fb^{-1}. The search is optimized for D^{0} mesons from D^{*+}D^{0}pi^{+} decays but is also sensitive to D^{0} mesons from other sources. No evidence for an excess of events over the expected background is observed. An upper limit on the branching fraction of this decay is set at B(D^{0}mu^{+}mu^{-})<3.1*10^{-9} at a 90% C.L. This represents the world's most stringent limit, constraining models of physics beyond the standard model.

Abstract: A search for the rare decays W+ -> D-s(+)gamma and Z -> D-0 gamma and is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0fb(-1). No significant signal is observed for either decay mode and upper limits on their branching fractions are set using W+ -> mu(+)nu and Z ->mu(+)mu(-)decays as normalization channels. The upper limits are and at 95% confidence level for W+ -> D-s(+)gamma and Z -> D-0 gamma the and decay modes, respectively. This is the first reported search for Z -> D-0 gamma the decay, while the upper limit on the Z -> D-0 gamma branching fraction improves upon the previous best limit.
