Abstract: A search for the rare decays W+ -> D-s(+)gamma and Z -> D-0 gamma and is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0fb(-1). No significant signal is observed for either decay mode and upper limits on their branching fractions are set using W+ -> mu(+)nu and Z ->mu(+)mu(-)decays as normalization channels. The upper limits are and at 95% confidence level for W+ -> D-s(+)gamma and Z -> D-0 gamma the and decay modes, respectively. This is the first reported search for Z -> D-0 gamma the decay, while the upper limit on the Z -> D-0 gamma branching fraction improves upon the previous best limit.

LHCb Collaboration(Aaij, R. et al), Garcia Martin, L. M., Henry, L., Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., Remon Alepuz, C., et al. (2018). Search for the lepton-flavour violating decays B-(s)(0) -> e(+/-) mu(-/+). J. High Energy Phys., 03(3), 078–20pp.
Abstract: A search for the lepton-flavour violating decays B-(s)(0) -> e(+/-)mu(-/+) and B-(s)(0) -> e(+/-)mu(-/+) performed based on a sample of proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8TeV. The observed yields are consistent with the background-only hypothesis. Upper limits on the branching fraction of the B-(s)(0) -> e(+/-)mu(-/+) decays are evaluated both in the hypotheses of an amplitude completely dominated by the heavy eigenstate and by the light eigenstate. The results are B(B-s(0) -> e(+/-)mu(-/+)) < 6.3 (5.4) x 10(-9) and B(B-s(0) -> e(+/-)mu(-/+)) < 7.2(6.0) x 10(-9) at 95% (90%) confidence level, respectively. The upper limit on the branching fraction of the B-0 -> e(+/-)mu(-/+) decay is also evaluated, obtaining B(B-0 -> e(+/-)mu(-/+)) < 1.3 (1.0) x 10(-9) at 95% (90%) confidence level. These are the strongest limits on these decays to date.

LHCb Collaboration(Aaij, R. et al), Jashal, B. K., Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., Remon Alepuz, C., & Ruiz Vidal, J. (2021). Search for the doubly charmed baryon Xi(+)(cc) in the Xi(+)(c)pi(-)pi(+) final state. J. High Energy Phys., 12(12), 107–27pp.
Abstract: A search for the doubly charmed baryon Xi(+)(cc) is performed in the Xi(+)(c)pi(-)pi(+ )invariant-mass spectrum, where the Xi(-)(cc) baryon is reconstructed in the pK(-)pi(+) final state. The study uses proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at a centreof-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb(-1). No significant signal is observed in the invariant-mass range of 3.4-3.8 GeV/c(2). Upper limits are set on the ratio of branching fractions multiplied by the production cross-section with respect to the Xi(++)(cc) -> (Xi(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+)+/-)pi(+ ) decay for different Xi(+)(cc) mass and lifetime hy- potheses in the rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and the transverse momentum range from 2.5 to 25 GeV/c. The results from this search are combined with a previously published search for the Xi(+)(cc) -> A(c)(+)K(-)pi(+ ) decay mode, yielding a maximum local significance of 4.0 standard deviations around the mass of 3620 MeV/c(2), including systematic uncertainties. Taking into account the look-elsewhere effect in the 3.5-3.7 GeV/c(2) mass window, the combined global significance is 2.9 standard deviations including systematic uncertainties.

Abstract: A search for the decay B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) is performed using proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). No evidence for the B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) decay is found and an upper limit on the branching fraction, excluding the 0 and charmonium regions in the dimuon spectrum, of 4.4 x 10(-3) at a 90% credibility level, relative to that of the B-s(0) -> phi mu(+) mu(-) decay, is established. Using the measured B-s(0) -> phi mu(+) mu(-) branching fraction and assuming a phase-space model, the absolute branching fraction of the decay B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) in the full q(2) range is determined to be less than 3.2 x 10(-9) at a 90% credibility level.

Abstract: A search for the B-s(0) -> D*(+/-) D--/+ decay is performed using proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The decay is observed with a high significance and its branching fraction relative to the B-0 -> D*(+/-) D--/+ decay is measured to be B(B-s(0) -> D*D-+/-(-/+))/B(B-0 -> D*D-+/-(-/+)) = 0.137 +/- 0.017 +/- 0.002 +/- 0.006, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third is due to the uncertainty on the ratio of the B-s(0) and B-0 hadronisation fractions.

Abstract: A search for charmless four-body decays of Lambda(0)(b) and Xi(0)(b) baryons with a proton and three charged mesons (either kaons or pions) in the final state is performed. The data sample used was recorded in 2011 and 2012 with the LHCb experiment and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). Six decay modes are observed, among which Lambda(0)(b) -> pK(-) pi(+)pi(-), Lambda(0)(b) -> pK(-)K(+)K(-), Xi(0)(b) pK(-) pi(+)pi(-) and Xi(0)(b) pK(-)pi K-+(-) are established for the first time. Their branching fractions (including the ratio of hadronisation fractions in the case of the Xi(0)(b) baryon) are determined relative to the Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda(+)(c)pi(-) decay.

Abstract: A search for B-s(0) -> (D) over bar (0) f(0)(980) decays is performed using 3.0 fb(1-) of pp collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment during 2011 and 2012. The f(0)(980) meson is reconstructed through its decay to the pi(+)pi(-) final state in the mass window 900 MeV/c(2) < m (pi(+)pi(-)) < 1080 MeV/c(2). No significant signal is observed. Abstract: A search for B+ -> D-s(+) K+ K- decays is performed using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.8 fb(-1), collected at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV with the LHCb experiment. A significant signal is observed for the first time and the branching fraction is determined to be B(B+ -> D-s(+) K+ K-) = (7.1 +/- 0.5 +/- 0.6 +/- 0.7) x 10(-6), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third due to the uncertainty on the branching fraction of the normalisation mode B+ -> D-s(+)(D) over bar (0). A search is also performed for the pure annihilation decay B+ -> D-s(+)(D) over bar (0). No significant signal is observed and a limit of B(B+ -> D-s(+) phi) < 4.9 x 10(-7) (4.2 x 10(-7)) is set on the branching fraction at 95% (90%) confidence level.
